About

BRING IT ON: THE MUSICAL is the explosive new musical comedy that raises the stakes on over-the-top high school rivalries. Set against the world of competitive cheerleading, this powerhouse new show hilariously proves that winning isn't everything when it means losing something - or someone - you really care about.

BRING IT ON: THE MUSICAL unites some of the freshest and funniest creative minds on Broadway, including Tony Award-winning writer Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q); Tony Award-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda (In The Heights); Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning composer Tom Kitt (Next to Normal) and lyricist Amanda Green (High Fidelity); Tony Award-winning orchestrator Alex Lacamoire (Wicked); and Tony Award-winning director/choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler (In The Heights).

Bring it On the musical...not the movie at all!!!

by Disappointedreviewer on 3/8/12Cadillac Palace - Chicago

I was very disappointed in the musical Bring It On. The advertising shows Kirsten Dunst as Torrance wearing an RCH cheerleading outfit which lead me to assume it was based on the movie. WRONG!!! It was definitely a cheerleading musical, although there was nothing from the movie and the rival schools were Truman and Jackson?!? Not the Toros and Clovers. Since I was disappointed and it was not what I expected I did not enjoy the show.

    Awesome show!

    by GrandmaGrandpa6 on 3/8/12Cadillac Palace - Chicago

It was terrific from beginning to end, never a dull moment. It was entertaining for our whole group which ranged in age from 72 to 11 years old. Definitely some bad language to be prepared for, especially in the second act.

    Needs tightening

It's a good funny show. Trim about 30 minutes out of Act 2 and it will be better.

Bring It On (The Musical) was very entertaining and certainly should be watched by all. I was afraid my husband would be bored, but it kept his attention the whole time. Not a dull moment.

    Worth the time

by carocali on 3/8/12Cadillac Palace - Chicago

This was way better than I'd anticipated. Loosely based on the movies, Bring It On is really fun! There are good characters that you can relate to. I thought there were many positive influences for young girls, with only minor language and sexual comments. Probably PG-13. My only beef is that the voices weren't great, however, it's a cheerleading show, so the stunts alone can forgive that. This is the first show I've been to in ages where the audience was on their feet for the 'chorus!' Very cool! If you're on the fence about it, go. It's a good evening (or afternoon) out!

This musical was the best show I've seen in a long time. Everyone who was a part of this show was talented and the choreography was amazing and gravity defying, literally. I recommend this show to everybody. I hope it comes to Indianapolis so I can see it again!

    Bring It On was excellent

    by jimshue1 on 3/8/12Cadillac Palace - Chicago

My girls are both cheerleaders, so they wanted to see this very badly. They both were amazed at the dance and cheerleading numbers. Some of the language and situations were a little bit advanced for my 10 year old. The early part of the second act dragged a little bit and my entire family was getting a little fidgety. But, it ended with a huge bang. All in all, it was an excellent show. We were especially blown away by Taylor Louderman, who is not a cheerleader, but performed some huge stunts WHILE singing!!! Also, Adrienne Warren has an amazing voice. Kudos to all the non-cheerleading leads. They certainly picked up those skills.

    Amazing

    by Jake65 on 3/8/12Cadillac Palace - Chicago

I took my daughter and a cheerleading friend to the show and they absolutely loved it. Ironically, the girls are both Cheerleaders and involved heavily in musical theater - so it was right up their alley!
