Rohan Browne and Genevieve Kingsford star in Lerner and Loewe’s romantic classic Brigadoon. Two young American tourists stumble across a mysterious village called Brigadoon, a town that magically appears for one day every one hundred years. Brigadoon also stars the legendary Nancye Hayes and Elise McCann (Matilda).
I grew up with musical theatre...my folks were big fans. I know the score to "Brigadoon"by heart. I went mainly to hear the music but was pleasantly surprised by the entire play. The actors were very good and the singing, magnificent.
Extremely delightful music and dancing to go with the fairy tale story. If only they would not amplify the sound to ear splitting level.
A wonderfully done musical. Great staging, voices, talent, I really enjoyed it.
This is an old story with a happy ending. There was not a moment when the play dragged--it was full of songs and dancing. The dancing was a joy to watch. Although this was modern dance, many of the women were obviously accomplished ballerinas. I think the whole audience especially enjoyed the lively rendition of "Go Home with Bonnie Jean."I left the theatre in a good mood!
