About

R&B singer, songwriter and producer Brian McKnight released his 13th studio album, More Than Words, in 2013, and he followed it up with a theater tour that had fans grabbing tickets for concerts throughout the US. The Buffalo, NY native, who began singing in a church choir, has been a mainstay on the urban contemporary scene since he released his self-titled debut album in 1992, at the tender age of 19. His arresting falsetto and smooth style were an immediate hit with R&B and pop listeners, who made "One Last Cry" the singer's first Top 20 single. McKnight's best-known songs followed in the '90s, including "Love Is" (a duet with Vanessa Williams), "Back at One," and "You Should Be Mine (Don't Waste Your Time)" featuring Mase. Though he hasn't yet taken home a trophy, McKnight -- who can play nine musical instruments -- has earned 16 Grammy nominations over the course of his career. He's also sold more than 20 million albums worldwide.

    Concert of the Year!!

    by Broncograd03 on 7/24/10RBC Center - Raleigh

EnVogue came on stage and hit notes like they came out yesterday!! They were so great!! Even when the audience threw them off, they laughed and let us sing with them! Brian McKnight....whew!! He came with a piano and two guitars (he and his son performed for a short time) and wrecked it! No back up singers, no drums! Just a pure performance! And Maze featuring Frankie Beverly!! What an experience! If you've never been to any of their concerts, (this was my first) it is a must! Pure music the entire time!! He sang for 2 hours with two breaks to tell stories and share experiences! If you missed this concert, you missed the concert of the year!

    Unbelievable Show!!

by firsttymer on 7/24/10RBC Center - Raleigh

First time seeing EnVouge, Brian McNight and Maze featuring Frankie Beverly. EnVogue and Brian McNight gave great vocal performances. Maze and Frankie Beverly WERE the show!! This man is 63 years old and he gave a non-stop energetic performance from stop to finish. They were AMAZING!! He ended with a spiritual tribute that really topped it off! I would see this show again and again!

    Frankie Beverly still got it!

by FCBW on 7/24/10RBC Center - Raleigh

I very much enjoyed the show! Frankie Beverly - at 63 - still got it and has so much energy! He sang all his songs & had the crowd up on their feet. I've seen him many times before & will continue to see him. To my surprise, En Vogue and Brian McKnight were good also -- especially En Vogue.

The entire concert was awesome. Wish Robin's equipment had been working because it seemed to throw him off track in not being able to present his playlist -- but in spite of it all the concert was incredible.

Brian McKnight is an amazing talent. We were on the fourth row and enjoyed every minute of it. He even blew a kiss to my lady in the audience. LOL It was one of the best live performances I had ever seen.

Robin and Brian- Over the Top!

    by lilvaqt12 on 7/19/10Chrysler Hall - Norfolk

I have seen Brian McKnight in the past and although its been a few years, he has not lost his touch! He is a crowd pleaser and really has a funny, witty sense of humor on stage. His sons are extremely talented and he was not afraid to share the spotlight with them. This was the first time I'd seen Robin Thicke live and he is so much more talented than his albums can tell! His acapella's are off the charts and his has a sexy way of schmoozing all the ladies in the crowd... Including me! Great show, I was in the 3rd row and it was SO worth it. Would definitely see them again!

Brian McKnight & Robin Thicke PHENOMENAL!!

by DefiantGSXRGirl on 7/19/10Chrysler Hall - Norfolk

This concert was AMAZING!!!!!! They are both truly, truly talented musicians...complete musicians, not studio-made hype artists. Their bands, their vocal performances, the emotion and presence they brought to every song was nothing short of PHENOMENAL. Ive always been a fan of Brian's, since the very beginning of his career years ago, and one of Robin's as well since he came out, but after seeing them like this I have even more respect and love for them as TRUE ambassadors of REAL R & B music, music that just feels good and has so much meaning!!! Go ahead gentlemen, do your thang!!!!!!

    Brian McKnight

    by Rosie7 on 7/18/10Chrysler Hall - Norfolk

I really was looking forward to this concert, but felt much of the presentation was not clearly stated. First, the showtime was stated for 7:00 pm, with changes from the original time of 8:00pm. I did not want to sit an listen to lame music for more than half an hour. Robin Thicke is awesome, but seemed unprepared for the selections of music in the sets for the the show. Brian McKnight is equally awsome, but his show started fifteen minutes late. ....... The cause was well worth the contribution to COX'S youth charities, I have no regrets about where my money went, it was the way the program procedure that annoyed me. GET ORGANIZED!!!

    Brian McKnight was AMAZING!!!!

by rvmanoo on 7/18/10Chrysler Hall - Norfolk

Dissapointed that Robin Thickes equipment failed BUT was impressed how he improvised and kept the concert going. LOVED LOVED LOVED Brian McKnight... wanted more than just an hours show - he was amazing, the vocals were amazing, his two boys were just awesome and the whole presentation of his concert was just excellent. I would recommend having his two boys as the opening act.
