About

R&B singer, songwriter and producer Brian McKnight released his 13th studio album, More Than Words, in 2013, and he followed it up with a theater tour that had fans grabbing tickets for concerts throughout the US. The Buffalo, NY native, who began singing in a church choir, has been a mainstay on the urban contemporary scene since he released his self-titled debut album in 1992, at the tender age of 19. His arresting falsetto and smooth style were an immediate hit with R&B and pop listeners, who made "One Last Cry" the singer's first Top 20 single. McKnight's best-known songs followed in the '90s, including "Love Is" (a duet with Vanessa Williams), "Back at One," and "You Should Be Mine (Don't Waste Your Time)" featuring Mase. Though he hasn't yet taken home a trophy, McKnight -- who can play nine musical instruments -- has earned 16 Grammy nominations over the course of his career. He's also sold more than 20 million albums worldwide.

    AMAZING SHOW!!!

by Herb L on 6/1/23Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San Antonio

A FULL Hour and a Half of just Brian McKnight singing was AMAZING!! Who needs an opening act! He definitely did not! He joked with the crowd, he danced and gave an AMAZING Shout Out to his drummer who was from here (San Antonio)! After 30+ years in the game his voice still sounds like it did when his first album/cd came out! Moments in the concert made me feel like I was watching Jason’s Lyric listening to his song or the episode of Martin when he proposed to Gina! Absolutely in “MY Top 5” Concerts of all time that I’ve been to and those are (and this is NOT in any particular order) Prince, KEM & Ledisi, Brian McKnight, Usher, New Edition!

    Awesome, but…

by MrsTraB on 5/31/23Bruton Theatre - Dallas

The performance was simply splendid. However, the venue was small, outdated and poorly run. It said doors open at 6, but you couldn’t get to your seat til after 8, no change but only taking cash for drinks, several lines trying to converge into 2…. The restrooms were clean, though. The staff was professional and the show was top tier.

    by Nanajean82 on 5/31/23Bruton Theatre - Dallas

Brian Mcknight put on an excellent show. The sound was a little off at the beginning and couldn't hear him singing because the bands sound was higher but that was fixed. Brian is an amazing singer

    It was Funky

by MunnyGawn on 5/31/23Bruton Theatre - Dallas

Got there 2.5 hrs in advance to beat parking and any wait time. Was told dorrs wouod open 2 hrs prior to show. Brian is Amazing. A real Crooner, Last of the great voices. I saw him back in 92' and he still hasnt disappointed. The disappointment came at the theater. I parked in the garage as it was raining but the garage was closer then parking outside. Garage was was a small upgill walk but that was ok. It was getting out, took an hour to leave. Parking was really in another area and because it rained everybody parked basically in the same area. Still no problem the problem was the doors not opening when they said they would be. In fact the show started at 8 and the doors didnt open until later so after seating the show started about 9. Mind you i got there over 2 hrs early to avoid this. So we waited and waited and peiple showed up until it was packed in the waiting area. Not everyone used anti perspirant that night. Theres is only 2 ways into the theater. So we were struggling to be seated. In the dark only 2 ushers and i saw alot of people get up and move because they were seitting in the wrong seats. Maybe because Brian appeals to an older audience and our vison osnt that good. I would have liked him to do more songs. At least 3-5 more because i know he has more. Also having watched every video he has on YouTube he kinda says the same thing at every show. Music was great though, Brian got pitchy one time but he has the talent to save it woth a good run. The bassist, now that Brother was in a class of his own. He was a show by himself. Because i was there hours before anybody i got to hear Brian warm up and even met some of the sound people. Brian has these shirts that i was helping he'd either sell or give away. Apparently his Wife was there, though we never saw her he would mention her and sing to the side of the stage where ahe was behind a curtain. Would i see him again...? Emphatically Yes! At that venue? Only now that i know to show up when it starts and hope its not a rainy day.

Concert was canx & we didn't find out until we went to arena

by D. T. on 5/30/23Smart Financial Centre at Sugar Land - Sugar Land

Concert was canx and we didn't find out until Sat night at the arena. Damn arena wasn't even open. Just a sign at the box office saying closed for the weekend. Alot of people showed up saying the same thing. Never got any notifications or alerts saying the concert was canx or changed dates. Because Brian McKnight was in San Antonio on Friday and Dallas on Sunday.

    Great...but left us wanting more...

by ChillyWill on 5/30/23Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San Antonio

Brian McKnight put on a great show. He has always been a favorite on my wife and I. His music is so meaningful, real and of course soulful. Although is was a great show, it just was not long enough. McKnight was the main attraction and performed for about an hour and a half. We just wanted more of that soulful sound.

    Cool sow!

by D in Texas on 5/30/23Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San Antonio

This was a no frills show. I mean that as a compliment. It didn’t need a bunch frill. Brian McKnight walked out and did his thing. He showcased what has made him one of the great singers of our generation. Great date night. Great performance!

    Oh so worth it!!

by Salonia on 5/29/23Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San Antonio

Mr. McKnight was worth the wait to see in concert. I have been a fan since day 1. This was the first time seeing him in person. He was in the right place at the right time. It could not have been better. Thank you Mr McKnight
