About

Over the course of crafting a 29-album catalog and architecting 40 Billboard #1 singles as a keyboardist, songwriter and producer, Brian Culbertson has charted his own unique course in music. Label him jazz and he makes a funk record. Call him an R&B artist and he drops an acoustic jazz trio collection. And you'd be hard pressed to name another instrumentalist of his ilk who can mount an elaborately designed concert production that will keep him on the road for three consecutive months.

Culbertson burst onto the scene in 1994 with a chart-topping album that he recorded in his college apartment featuring keyboard-led contemporary jazz tracks. Flash forward to present day, Culbertson has been going back and listening more and more to music that inspired him as a young musician such as David Sanborn, The Brecker Bros, Chick Corea, Al Jarreau, Pat Metheny & others in the jazz fusion world.

Whether you're listening to music from "Day Trip" on record or live in concert, you're hearing an eclectic, entertaining and engaging set from an artist at the peak of his power.

by KPA on 11/11/25Taft Theatre - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

This is the second time seeing Brian Culbertson at the Taft, which is a fantastic venue. He always puts on a great show and his band is top notch. Brian’s musical talent and prowess seemingly know no boundaries. As a long time fan, I’m amazed at the growth in his musical style. His ability to maintain a signature vibe while staying relative is refreshing. I’m already looking forward to his next tour in Cincinnati and will be sure to attend again whenever he’s nearby.

Quick getting in and easy finding seats 👍🏽 Music 🎼 was fabulous. One disappointing part was not finding out who got to go back stage and meet Brian!

This was HANDS UP (literally had my hands arms up all night) THE BEST CONCERT EVER!!! I've seen BC on you tube before and thought he was great. I never imagined he and the band would be so AMAZING!! I didn't want the night to end. I look forward to seeing BC and the band again and again and again. Thank you for a PHENOMINAL show 🙌🏾🫶🏾.

by Alfred on 11/11/25Taft Theatre - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

Brian Culbertson is one of the best to ever do it. This concert was 2 hours of non-stop energy. Don't miss out on seeing him when he is in your area.

  • Amazing, Energizing, Emotional!

by Pat on 11/11/25Taft Theatre - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

Oh my Goodness! Brian Culbertson was amazing! As a "first-timer"to see his show, I was blown away. Brian put it best, he was surrounded by true musicians including Nicholas Cole which makes a difference. Every member of the band is a legend in their own right which heightens the intensity of Brian. A true showman who can work the audience and his ability to play the keyboards "backwards"is a showstopper! Don't forget the trombone "Oh my Goodness"is all I can say! Truly a show not to miss.

by AJH-Arlene on 11/10/25The Venue at Horseshoe Casino - HammondRating: 5 out of 5

The energy was off the charts, you left the show on a high note! It took two days for me to come down after opening nite & a day to return to normal after this one in Hammond, IN. Warning: there is no intermission, so plan accordingly. It’s a non-stop Adrenalin Rush from the stage right to you! Best Tour Ever, thanx Brian, Nick & the Band - you guy royally rock.

  • Smooth jazz at the casino

by Big Papa on 11/10/25The Venue at Horseshoe Casino - HammondRating: 4 out of 5

The show was great; Brian Culbertson is a top notch performer, and I was pleasantly surprised that Nicholas Cole and Darren Rahn were a part of his band. However, I was a bit disappointed that Brian did not play more of his more popular notable tracks, and that no tunes were played from any of Nicholas Cole or Darren Rahn’s CD given that the music of these two artists is very popular, as they also are notable Smmoth Jazz artists.
