The concert was AMAZING !!!. Such high energy. I have seen Brian perform several times and have always enjoyed his music and performance
This was my second time seeing Brian in concert. He's extremely talented and excites the audience with the many instruments he plays including playing the piano from the backside (never seen that done before)! Avant came out to sing his song and that was a plus. I would love to see a concert with him and a few other R&B or jazz musicians, that would be an unbelievable show. Overall, for the performance we saw for the price we paid I feel Brian Culbertson gave us half price tickets for an over the top, wonderful show!!!
The show was awesome. Truly Brian is a great performer
I fell in love with Brian from the first time I saw him at the Liberty Jazz Festival in 2008!!! His energy is contagious throughout his band and the audience!!! His instrumental skills are incredible, but what he does to that piano...aawww maaaan, just phenominal!!! I have been a follower of Frankie Beverly and Maze and of Mint Condition for a very long time now. Now, I'm adding Brian Culbertson to that list!!!
Ticketmaster has 5 categories in their ratings guide but they can drop 4 of them when it comes to Brian Culbertson. The only possible rating you can award a his show is "Amazing!" We've seen Brian before and will see him again every time he's anywhere near us (or even not-so-near.) It was another great, high-energy, two-hour show at BB King's in NY and at this venue, there's not a bad seat in the house....everything is nice & cozy and it makes for a very personal setting to enjoy the band. Avant made a special guest appearance and sang his collaborative effort from Brian's "XII" CD, "Skies Wide Open." Nice job! To those of you who've seen Brian before, you won't be disappointed - it's another winner! For those of you who have not heard of Culby or been to one of his shows, you're in for a treat. He's pretty-much carved out an exclusive niche with all the best of Smooth Jazz, Pop and R&B (with Funk being the cornerstone - this boy can funk with the best of 'em!) Great show - highly recommended!!
Brian was smooth and astounding with the mix of smooth jazz music and vocals.
Took my wife who is the fan. I expected to be a bit bored, but he was incredible. He loves what he does and it shows!
Brian Culbertston puts on an amazing show. High energy. Plays multiple intstruments...
As always Brian C. put on a great show. It was great from beginning to end. If you have never seen him, please make it a point to see him the next time he is in your city.
My wife and two childhood friends travelled from Boston to New York City to see Brian Culbertson. This man was amazing! His showmanship, Music, Arrangements were all on point. Brian is personable and makes you feel comfortable, by his mannerisms and the way he talks to his audience. I have told everyone how great this man is! He is the funkiest Caucasian gentleman I have every witnessed -- This boy is baaaaadd!!!. The trip to New York we well worth it, my boss even went. May God Blees this man as he travels the world bringing happiness to everyone he plays with and to. I hope he comes to Boston soon. The icing on the cake was, we ran into him walking down the street. We called to him and he came over and we all had a nice conversation. We thanked him for the show, he thank us for coming from Boston. He is a very gracious and humble man, --- we love him!
i have always listened to brians music so i brought tickets to the show my jaw is still on the ground and my mind was blown away brian culberston you are a amazing show thank can`t wait till your back in town
The show was phenominal. Brian and his band were truly amazing in every respect. The people on that stage were so talented, I was totally blown away. The music sounded great at the venue and it was so much fun watching the performances. Totally speechless.
I love Brian culbertson but I never expected the music to be so loud. I'm really happy one of the people who went with me had an extra pair of ear plugs. I've never attended an event at the Birchmere that was so loud. I even promised my friend that the music at the Birchmere is not ever loud. I had a wicked headache when I got home. Other than that I still like Brfian Culbertson's music just not so loud.
Is it possible that he gets better every day? Our grown children came with us and got to see & hear him for the first time...they we blown away and are now looking for tickets for his next performance! Brian is the only keyboard player that actually plays keyboards like a percussion instrument. His horn playing is equally genius. His musicians love him, the audience loves him and God must love him, to have given him such a gift! If you have never experienced Brian Culbertson...put it on your Bucket List!
The Brian Culbertson show at the Keswick was phenomenal! Brian's shows are always great but this one seemed to have even more energy. He is an amazing performer! He has so much energy and even more talent. Brian is just as talented on the trumpet, trombone and drums as he is on the keyboards! An unbelievable talent as well as a very nice guy. He truly enjoys performing for his fans and communicating with them on the internet, facebook, twitter, and before and after the shows. Brian is a one of a kind! He is not to be missed!
Brian put on an outstanding show. I attend his concerts when he is in the Maryland, DC, VA area and he has not disappointment me yet. I will also be attending the Capital Jazz Supercruise for the first time and look forward to seeing Brian perform. He is so gifted and humble. God Speed.
Brian Culbertson is a multi-talented musician whose performances are over well worth the ticket price. I have seen him four times and could easily see him many more. High energy and uniquely talented, Brian is th consumate performer.
Where to start? I have always wanted to see him, and I was not disappointed. Brian Culbertson and his band were awesome. I just wanted to get up and dance! He was so energetic and very talented. He went from playing the keyboard to the trombone to the drums, and then the drums on keyboard! One of my favorite parts was when he did a duet with the drummer. I cannot wait until he comes to the DC area again! The man is amazing! I truly enjoyed his performance. I had to tell everyone about it the next day. If he visits your town, please go see him. He is so worth it! It was also a nice treat to see Avant, who was a special guest at this performance. Avant has such a nice voice, and they go well with Brian's melodies.
I saw Brian at the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA on Monday night. As always, he was fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the medley of songs he entertained us with from older material to XII. Avant was a wonderful surprise and I do love their collarboration on Skies Wide Open. His voice was smooth and mellow. I've seen Brian many, many times in concert at a land venue and even had the pleasure of seeing him perform on the Smooth Jazz Cruise. It's obvious that he loves what he does and continues to keep his material fresh and funky. I was pleasantly surprised to see that he played the drums, what a talented musician. The band was tight! They performed well together as a group and their individual moments were great as well. It would have taken me over the edge if Chuck Brown showed up and showed out to do the song that they perform together. Whenever Brian is in DC, MD, VA or PA, I will always take the time to go where he is and enjoy the music.
The boy is badddd...Nothing but the truth. Listen.
