Over the course of crafting a 29-album catalog and architecting 40 Billboard #1 singles as a keyboardist, songwriter and producer, Brian Culbertson has charted his own unique course in music. Label him jazz and he makes a funk record. Call him an R&B artist and he drops an acoustic jazz trio collection. And you'd be hard pressed to name another instrumentalist of his ilk who can mount an elaborately designed concert production that will keep him on the road for three consecutive months.
Culbertson burst onto the scene in 1994 with a chart-topping album that he recorded in his college apartment featuring keyboard-led contemporary jazz tracks. Flash forward to present day, Culbertson has been going back and listening more and more to music that inspired him as a young musician such as David Sanborn, The Brecker Bros, Chick Corea, Al Jarreau, Pat Metheny & others in the jazz fusion world.

Brian Culbertson is one of the best performer I know. This is my second time seeing him and he didn’t disappoint. If he’s ever in town again I will definitely be there.

Missed a few opportunities to attend a Brian Culbertson concert in the past, but the wait was worth it. He was the total jazz package and the concert energy plus the historical Majestic Theatre setting were amazing. I will definitely attend another Brian Culbertson concert in the future.
He gave a fantastic performance, this band of guys were awesome the chemistry was a 10. The stage set was bliss. We had a blast.
The Parker is a great venue for this type of performance. And Culbertson and his musicians filled the hall with their music and their enthusiasm. We have followed Brian's music over the years since we lived in Decatur and knew his parents casually. It was great to have our paths cross in Southeast Florida and finally be able to attend a live concert. The music and the performance exceeded our expectations.
Fantastic performance! BC is a gifted musician. I loved it that he came out to perform at the start of the concert and played almost non stop! His other musicians were excellent as well. The Majestic Theatre could use a little refurbishment and parking was rough-recommend you go early to get a space close to the theater.
