About

Boys Like Girls are a pop-rock band that formed in 2005. The quartet skyrocketed up the charts with anthemic singles like “The Great Escape” and “Love Drunk,” with the latter’s accompanying music video featuring High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale. Their two breakthrough singles were followed by a sweeping emo-tinged ballad featuring Taylor Swift, “Two Is Better Than One,” which helped the band’s second album (2009’s Love Drunk) land in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200. In 2012, the band’s frontman Martin Johnson began writing/producing music for everyone from blink-182 to Avril Lavigne, leading to Boys Like Girls going on hiatus (reforming sporadically to tour between 2016 and 2020). In May 2023, the band released “Blood and Sugar,” the first single from their upcoming fourth album and their first new song in over a decade.

  • It was just "ok"

by GotVino on 6/22/10nTelos Wireless Pavilion - PortsmouthRating: 2 out of 5

All the good bands played last on the second stage. Event staff wasn't friendly. A past Warped Tour attendee, I was disapointed that lawn tickets had so many restrictions. It's pretty sad when the bands won't play unless security allowed fans to move close into the seating area. P'town missed on this event. It was a real bamboozle. I'll do warped tour again any day before I repeat this event. The band members were all very friendly and really engaged the crowd. Can't say the same for the event staff. Sorry guys maybe a different venue would have improved the day.

My friend and I had the BEST time ever. I wish I could have met a few of the bands, expecially All Time Low! Cant wait for the next time.

The main stage acts started at 3:50 with Forever The Sickest Kids. I found that many who didn't know them still loved their act. They used the full stage and did many tricks through out there act. They were a lot of fun to watch. Simple Plan took the stage next and they put on a more polished show. They had various jumps and tricks they did at the same time that looked pretty sweet. They sounded very much like there studio albums and just brought me back to my Junior High years. After there show the band went to there merch tent to sign autographs and take pictures with fans. They were super nice guys and showed all there fans that they care. Now it was Good Charlotte's turn to take the spot light. They started out with The Anthem and got the crowed going and kept the energy going. Near the end of there show they gave thanks to all there fans and told how much the fans mean to them. Boys Like Girls open with Love Drunk. I didn't think they sounded very good while singing this song. After their second song they were starting to sound they way they should. Throughout the show they threw guitar picks to the crowd. I counted 20 before I lost count. At the end of their act they threw an assortment of stuff including drumsticks. All Time Low took the stage by storm. Their presence made the crowd go wild. They put on one hell of a show and no one was ready for them to say go bye but the show must go on. Third Eye Blind was after All Time Low. In my opinion Stephan Jenkins was having a hard time with the vocals but he was still sang great. Wasn't his best show. Throughout the show Joel Madden and Alex Gaskarth appeared and help with a song. Joel Madden sang a duet with Stephan Jenkins in the Third Eye Blind song God of Wine. Mid way through Jumper Alex appeared and sang it with the band. LMFAO was the last band. I can't say anything about it because I left early to beat traffic. All in all it was a great show. Highly recommend Bamboozle

Really good concert. Security was nice. Met most of the bands. Only downside it was extremely hot due to weather.

  • First & best concert!!!

by HillaryMadison on 6/21/10PNC PAVILION - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

It was so hot but all the bands were unforgettable & funny! It sounded so great & we had the best seats we could ask for! Just perfect! The only negative is the price of food & water. $4 bucks for a dasani I can buy at speedway for 99 cents. But overall it was amazing & fun!

  • by fallenxangel on 6/21/10PNC PAVILION - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

amazing bands with amazing sets. other than the horrid heat, i couldnt have asked for more. the meet and greet with boys like girls was slightly disappointing but understandable due to the number of people participating,

  • Best Concert ever!

by Anonymous on 6/20/10PNC PAVILION - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

The shows were amazing. All the bands played incredibly well and interacted with the crowds. Also, having the bands come out to their merch tables after their performances was pretty cool too. Overall, Bamboozle was a great time and I'm definitely going next year!!

  • boozal was a smash

    by xfestfan986 on 6/20/10PNC PAVILION - CincinnatiRating: 4 out of 5

bands were great! music was clear as well as loud. venue was awesome. word to PNC! open the pavillion and get the local band stage fixed, the local stage at the entrance was terrible, you made those bands look terrible and it was'nt their fault. These tours and mega concerts need to lose the old geezer bands. 3rd eye blind was great in the 90"s and early 2000's. its been like a decade since they had a real hit, their old, out of touch and not a good for this style of concert series. put them back in the home or get them on tour with the other geezer bands, stones, who, bon jovi, crue. be relevant or be relegated!

  • Boys Like Girls rocked!

  • Best Concert Ever

I have been to a lot of concerts and this by far was the most amazing. The bands sounded every bit as good as they do on their cds.

  • Bamboozle Rocks!

    by NightFury1 on 6/20/10PNC PAVILION - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

My daughter and I went to BAMBOOZLE in Cincinnati, OH yesterday and it was AMAZING!!!!!! We had such a good time and all the bands, both on the A and the B stages were awesome! We got the opportunity to meet and hear new bands like PHONE CALLS FROM HOME, MERCY MERCEDES, CADY GROVES, AND WESTLAND. It's nice to meet and greet with them and buy sample copies of their CD's. Once on the main stage, we were rocked and entertained for hours by FOREVER SICKEST KIDS, SIMPLE PLAN, GOOD CHARLOTTE, BOYS LIKE GIRLS, and ALL TIME LOW. Seats were great, bands playing were the best! We would recommend BAMBOOZLE to everyone. It's well worth the ticket price!

  • LMFAO ROCKED IT!!

    by Duespinoza0305 on 6/20/10PNC PAVILION - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

From Good Charlotte, Third Eye Blind, BLG, LMFAO, was off the chain!! I would love to go see them in concert again

  • All Time Low put on the best show!

    by CPunkRock07 on 6/20/10PNC PAVILION - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

We arrived just after Forever the Sickest Kids, who we were sad to miss, but still enjoyed seeing Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, Boys Like Girls, and All Time Low. Simple Plan is definitely still a great show, as well as Good Charlotte, and I was very pleased to hear their older hits because that is what I know and love. Simple Plan's new song was very exciting too, as it seems they are definitely back! Boys Like Girls had very good sound, but didn't drive me to go crazy for them. In the end it was All Time Low who put on the funniest, most random, and most energetic show that was there! My bias is that I already loved their music the best, but it was the in-between song breaks that made the show. I've never seen a band since Blink 182 be so random, funny, and mix that with great music, a great style, and a great show. In many ways, they are funnier than Blink 182, which is a heck of an achievement. We left after because Third Eye Blind is good but we didn't know many of their songs, and we listened to LMFAO on Myspace and thought they weren't even worth seeing because me and my friends don't really like Rap or R&B or anything like that at all. The four bands we saw though were all very very good, with ATL easily having the best show!

  • AWESOME

all the bands were good. It was worth seeing. Boys like girls had a good show also forever the sickest kids. To me I absolutely loved simple plans show. They played all the good songs. I can't wait till the cd comes out because "you suck at love "was really awesome.
