About

Boys Like Girls are a pop-rock band that formed in 2005. The quartet skyrocketed up the charts with anthemic singles like “The Great Escape” and “Love Drunk,” with the latter’s accompanying music video featuring High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale. Their two breakthrough singles were followed by a sweeping emo-tinged ballad featuring Taylor Swift, “Two Is Better Than One,” which helped the band’s second album (2009’s Love Drunk) land in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200. In 2012, the band’s frontman Martin Johnson began writing/producing music for everyone from blink-182 to Avril Lavigne, leading to Boys Like Girls going on hiatus (reforming sporadically to tour between 2016 and 2020). In May 2023, the band released “Blood and Sugar,” the first single from their upcoming fourth album and their first new song in over a decade.

  • The Maine Rocked The House!

by rockitgirl on 10/24/09The Warfield - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

While I enjoyed all five bands, The Maine engaged the audience and were amazing. We'll be looking for them again! Well worth the 2-hour drive.

  • Boys like Girls was amazing as always!

    by Danni2006 on 10/23/09Ogden Theatre - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

They came out with such great energy and looked like they really wanted to be in Denver.

  • by Anonymous on 10/23/09Ogden Theatre - DenverRating: 4 out of 5

I absolutely loved the line-up (best I've ever seen) and the time between sets was incredibly short which was nice and kept the crowd from getting to restless. The one complaint I do have however is that I didn't like the venue. The set up is weird to me, and there are WAY to many railings and whatnot.

by fangsupkate on 10/22/09Riviera Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was UN-REAL!! the maine and rocket to the moon were amazing. I loved both of them! they sounded great live and were sooo hot. Boys like girls were pretty good too...but the real reason i went to the concert was to see COBRA STARSHIP!! Gabe Saporta is hot and hilarious. CS pretty much blew my mind. i love them. they played all of my favorite songs.

  • Incredible Show!

by Tolson on 10/22/09Ogden Theatre - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

I knew 3 of the bands: Boys Like Girls, The Maine, and Cobra Starship, little did i know that the two other bands: Rocket to the Moon, and Versa Emerge would be incredible as well. The lineup started off amazing and got even better as each new band came on stage. Boys Like Girls opened with I Gotta Feeling which morphed into love drunk. They played great, sang great, even the light show was awesome. At the end they let anyone come on stage and party with them as they sang The Great Escape. Overall, by far the best concert i've ever been to.

  • Cobra Starship and Boys Like Girls were great!

    by lovebug81989 on 10/22/09Ogden Theatre - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

The first two opening acts were alright, the third opening act was much better! Cobra Starship was awesome. They put on such a great live show, everytime. I plan on going to see them again. Boys Like Girls was also really good, also a very good live show. I'd highly recommend this venue (The Ogden) to other people.

  • The Best Night of my life!!!

by laurennn on 10/21/09Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

October 15, 2009 was, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the best night of my life. The LC Pavillion was a perfect place to hold the event, in my opinion. It had the same excitement one would feel at a large venue, but the atmosphere was still small enough to feel close to your favorite bands. However, the show could have been held anywhere and I would have been happy. I went, first and foremost, to see A Rocket to the Moon. They are the most wonderful band ever and the experience was, to say the least, awe-inspiring. Every band there was very good, and they were mostly friendly. I rated this event five stars only because I didn't have the option of giving it more. I would rate it 1,000 stars if I could!!!!!

  • Cobra made it the best night of my life... EVER!

by PenguinCutie on 10/21/09Ogden Theatre - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was very, very good, wayyyy better then I expected, and I must say I had high expecations. I had not heard of Rocket to the Moon, but they were amazing! I found myslef dancing and singing to all of their songs even though this is the first I have heard of them. I would definitely see them again. I mainly went to the concert for Cobra Starship and they were AMAZING!!! The crowd was really getting in to them, and they knew how to please the crowd. Not only did they play their new, more popular songs, but also their old songs which made them. In my opinion, they should have been the headliner band. Boys like girls was really good dont get me wrong, but I only knew Love Drunk and Great Escape, so I wasnt into them as much, slighty boring, But overall the experience was amazing and I would recommend it to all of my friends and even people I dont know!

  • Had a great time.

    by 100KindsaCrazy on 10/21/09Ogden Theatre - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

I had a great time at this show. I felt like the ticket was a little pricey but after the show I didn't mind it so much. Totally worth the money because there were a bunch of great bands on this tour.

    by blueangel729 on 10/21/09Ogden Theatre - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

The show was unbelieveable!!! The lighting was amazing and Boys Like Girls sounded awesome. They played songs from their new album, Love Drunk, and they also played songs from their first album. The openers to the show were all really good and really got the crowd moving and worked up. It was an amazing show and I would recommend going if you get the chance!
