Boston Pops were outstanding Great musicians and great selections
Would see them every time they do a local show. Looking for a new album.
a great show. two hours flew by! never get tired of listening to them
A grand collection of American music including semi-classical to Beatle songs. The musicians are very talented and can play all types of music. Strongly recommend catching their concert when you can.
Concert was fabulous. Seat billed as best available and costing $135 was not good. Last seat on the end in the first row. Could only see the orchestra members right in front of me and for several of them it was their backs I saw. Could not see any of the other musicians.
Boston Pops are always great. I love Keith Lockhart's explanations before the numbers.
The concert was absolutely wonderful. The conductor had the orchestra in the palm of his hand--great precision and clarity. Because the acoustics in the hall are terrific, the full lush sound of the orchestra was accentuated. The Largo from the Dvorak New World Symphony was played beautifully. The Copland was full and brassy--just the way it should be. The pianist was excellent as well. All in all, a great concert, full of variety that showed off the great virtuosity of the orchestra.
If you are a Boston Pops fan you would have gone wild over this concert. Bravo Bravo Bravo to Keith Lockhart and the Band. Mangicient!!!
Everything was fantastic, the best presentation and ensemble. Unforgettable.
The selections were appropriate for all ages to enjoy and relate to. The sound was perfect throughout. The orchestra, interestingly, varied in age, the professionalism was profound from all, not only the soloist. Keith immersed himself in the music. It was as though it came from the bottom of his feet to the tips of his fingers. I was mesmerized by his hand, arm, and body movements as he conducted his orchestra. I watched closely and I didn't see or hear a beat missed, down beat, up beat, with a clean stop at each piece. I have been watching Keith and the "Pops" since the first time he took the podium in Boston. I am so happy we were privaliged to hear this world renowned orchestra locally without having to travel to Boston.
A night to remember . The sing along was fun. Wish there kept playing on and on . Also wished that John Williams was there to conduct the Harry Potter and ET theme. Keith Lockhart was amazing.
My mother and I came to Ft. Lauderdale for a few days to get out of the cold weather. We had never seen the Boston Pops. What a great evening to spend together and share the first time experience. Great memory!
Never in my wildest imagination would I expect to see the Boston Pops live and only four rows from the stage. It was absolutely fabulous, the orchestra was spot on, and the sing-along was loads of fun. Hope they come west again! ! ! !
Hands down one of the best shows I've seen! The sing-a-long was outstanding! The conductor and orchestra made me want to jump out of my seat and dance!
The best orchestra ever, the conductor was fabulous. A great, great evening!!!
Exceeded our expectations...Fantastic fun evening! Would love to see them again
This was a fantastic show with the whole orchestra and a great song selection.
We recently moved to Tucson from Boston - and it was a terrific concert and a great venue - our first time at Centennial Hall and it was wonderful. Hopefully they will find a way to make Tucson a part of their annual tour going forward.
It was great to hear them in person, especially as they played their favorites for their FIRST visit ever to Tucson. I have always loved Rhapsody in Blue, and and it was amazing to hear the orchesteral version in person (we sat in the pit!). Of course I always enjoy Candide and Largo from New World Symphony. Finally, Sleigh Bells gave a nice intro to the holiday season. And thanks for the Souse encore! We may not get to Boston, but I'm glad we could enjoy their talents near home.
