Boston Bruins History
Established in 1924, the Boston Bruins were the first American team to join the NHL(Opens in new tab). They won their first of six Stanley Cup championships in just their fifth season in 1929, defeating the defending champions New York Rangers. It was the first Stanley Cup championship to feature two U.S. teams. The Bruins added championships in 1939 and 1941, and between 1943 and 1958 they reached the final five more times.
After the arrival of future Hall of Famers Bobby Orr (a three-time MVP) and Phil Esposito (one of the greatest goal-scorers of all time and the first player to score 100 points in a season), the Bruins won Stanley Cup Championships in 1970 and 1972. The image of Orr flying through the air after scoring "The Goal" in overtime to defeat the St. Louis Blues in 1970 is one of the most memorable in hockey history.
On April 9, 2023, the Bruins beat the Philadelphia Flyers 5-3, marking their 63rd win of the season and setting a new NHL record for the most single-season wins. They made history again on April 12 when they reached 133 points scored in a single season thanks to a 5-2 win over the Washington Capitals, besting the 1976-77 Montreal Canadiens for the NHL team with the most points scored in a single season.
Twenty-nine straight appearances in the Playoffs followed — a record among all professional sports — including Stanley Cup Final appearances in 1974, 1977–1978, 1988, and 1990.
After a two-decade absence, the Bruins returned to the Stanley Cup Final in 2011, defeating the Vancouver Canucks in a thrilling seven-game series behind the goaltending of Tim Thomas. To date, the Bruins have made 20 appearances in the Stanley Cup Final, including most recently in 2019. Legendary players who have worn the Bruins’ jersey include Hall of Famers Cecil "Tiny" Thompson, Eddie Shore, and Aubrey "Dit" Clapper.

It was my first time attending to a Hockey match and was amazing.
My boys, ages 10 & 12, enjoyed their first game and can't wait to go again!
Had a lot of fun. I hadn't been to a live hockey game in 20 years. Loved the energy and excitement.
It was SO much fun, not just because we won but because there's nothing so amazing about going to a game rather than watching it on tv. There is this feeling of adrenaline that you don't get at home. I will and always root for my boys, win or lose. Boston Bruins all day!!
Me and my kids made it on the Jumbotron three times. It was their first game they were so excited have so much fun. As a father I couldn't been happier. They realize I wanted to get a picture of my kids On the Jumbotron and they came right back to us and I got one that was awesome.
Veterans day tributes were amazing. Briuns won in a shutout. Our seats were great. Easy in/out of Arena. All in all, a really good time with great people
It was a great game and I loved seeing Tuuka Rask for two periods. When Stamkos went down I didn't realize he had broken his leg. Great Seats! Great Play.
Any seat in the TD Garden is a great view. Game was exciting to watch and the fans made it more worth the while. I would recommend any event in this arena!
being at the GARDEN, watching the BRUINS,,,just a great experience and seat location, being among 18000 friends give or take, and to top it off with a win too...what more can you ask for?!
Great sport, great game and a great venue. The suite we were in had a superb view of the game.
Great place to see a hockey game. Fans are enthusiastic without being jerks. We met some great people even though we weren't Bruins fans.
Sat in Loft seating.......had a GREAT time!!!!!! The service and food was FANTASTIC! Bruins are always GREAT!
I was in Boston on a conference and wanted something extra special to do. I saw on Ticketmaster that the Bruins were playing the Maple Leafs. Two historical teams playing while I'm IN Boston. Yes please! I really enjoyed the event. I didn't really know where I was going in TD Garden, since some of it is a train station, but I followed the mass mob. Great game, great fans. Enjoyed it!
Well, my daughter and I are Bruins fans, but she is still a Seguin fan!!! Getting there was easy, we had great seats, unfortunately the Bruins lost, but still a GREAT time!!!
Game started slow, but they picked it up. Tied the game went into a shoot out and WON !!!! This was my sons first game he had a blast!!!
The seats were awesome! The bruins are always fun to watch. Very clean and helpful people, except one! The woman in our section kept ignoring us when we asked to place an order. She kept saying she would be right back and never Come back. She did it to multiple people in our section. SHe obviously is not cut out to be a server in club seats whome people pay good money for. We finally asked another server to help us from another section she went by the name "fun"! She helped many others out evn though it wasn't her section!
Club level seats are the way to go. The rink has a very energetic vibe and the games are always fun to watch, whether team loses or not. There's great food and a great selection of beer. The employees are very friendly and helpful too. Always great to see the Ducks lose!
These games are always upbeat and exciting. The crowd cheers and chants get you pumped and the spirit and energy is unforgettable.
This was my first trip to the TD Garden, since I did see a game at the Boston Garden many years ago. If you like train travel, this arena is ideal since it is on top of North Station. We drove in and parked at the Government Center and walked 3 blocks to the arena. $25 to park, cheapest in the area. The Boston fans were friendly, even though I was wearing a Devils jersey. My son and I had a wonderful time.
I grew up in NJ but have been living in MA for the past 15 years. As much as I enjoy watching the Bruins and wish them well, my heart will always belong to the NJ Devils. The Devils seem to come to the Garden once or twice a year and I try my hardest to make those games when I can. The past couple times that I have, the Devils have lost and it always seems as if Martin Brodeur has that night off. That being said... This game was AWESOME!!! Marty just got back from taking a week off due to injury and he started out shaky allowing 3 goals on the 1st 8 shots he faced. After that he was a brick wall, allowing his team to get back in it and the Devils finally capitalized on a couple of late penalties to take the lead for the 1st time in the game with only :47 secs left on the clock. The Devils never stopped playing and they were rewarded handsomely for it.
