Boston Bruins History
Established in 1924, the Boston Bruins were the first American team to join the NHL(Opens in new tab). They won their first of six Stanley Cup championships in just their fifth season in 1929, defeating the defending champions New York Rangers. It was the first Stanley Cup championship to feature two U.S. teams. The Bruins added championships in 1939 and 1941, and between 1943 and 1958 they reached the final five more times.
After the arrival of future Hall of Famers Bobby Orr (a three-time MVP) and Phil Esposito (one of the greatest goal-scorers of all time and the first player to score 100 points in a season), the Bruins won Stanley Cup Championships in 1970 and 1972. The image of Orr flying through the air after scoring "The Goal" in overtime to defeat the St. Louis Blues in 1970 is one of the most memorable in hockey history.
On April 9, 2023, the Bruins beat the Philadelphia Flyers 5-3, marking their 63rd win of the season and setting a new NHL record for the most single-season wins. They made history again on April 12 when they reached 133 points scored in a single season thanks to a 5-2 win over the Washington Capitals, besting the 1976-77 Montreal Canadiens for the NHL team with the most points scored in a single season.
Twenty-nine straight appearances in the Playoffs followed — a record among all professional sports — including Stanley Cup Final appearances in 1974, 1977–1978, 1988, and 1990.
After a two-decade absence, the Bruins returned to the Stanley Cup Final in 2011, defeating the Vancouver Canucks in a thrilling seven-game series behind the goaltending of Tim Thomas. To date, the Bruins have made 20 appearances in the Stanley Cup Final, including most recently in 2019. Legendary players who have worn the Bruins’ jersey include Hall of Famers Cecil "Tiny" Thompson, Eddie Shore, and Aubrey "Dit" Clapper.

Great game, great seats! My daughter enjoyed the game as well!
It was an exciting and fantastic match between Bruins and Predators @TD Garden. Fast hockey at its best. The Bruins fans stood strong behind their team, the whole Garden in back and gold. Fantastic experience!
It was our first game this season & certainly noticed the improvements made to the TD Garden.
Watching hockey live is a great experience, definitely worth it! The fans reactions are awesome, certainly would go again! :)
Brilliant game at TD Garden. Great atmosphere, loads of action and Bruins won 6-0!!
Traveling to Boston from Arizona, TD Garden was a fantastic venue to see the Bruins. The facility was immaculate, easy to navigate, and full to the gills with dedicated fans. The atmosphere was infectious, and the $235 paid for a ticket was well worth it. Bring a jacket, as it was the coldest hockey venue I've ever been in. The Pro Shop was lovely with a broad selection of items for everyone and every budget. I had a wonderful time, and was sad when it was time to leave.
Bruins need to pick up their game! This is a lot of money to watch a team play poorly. Seats were ok - Garden always a fun place to watch a game. Food could be a lot better -- need some healthy selections.
Overall it was a nice event. My daughter and I bought front row seats near the Bruins entrance. It was fun seeing her fist bump the players as they stepped on to the ice. However, not one regular member of the Boston Bruins showed up for the preseason game. I only recognized one name (Reilly Smith). They should have advertised it as a Providence Bruins exhibition vs. the New Jersey Devils (although didn't recognize any players on their roster either). Oh well.
Regardless of any chance that you get to see the Boston Bruins it is always a great game win or lose (hopefully a win). Professional hockey is what its all about, even Pre Season is awesome if you are a die hard fan like I am. With that being said I had to take the opportunity to see the Pre Season game in Providence. The Game like I said is always awesome.... venue though THE WORST!!!! Seating where I was is definitely great, however as being comfortable definitely not. As I am almost 6 feet tall the seats in front of me was banging right into my knees, and I am not obese yet the seats are so narrow it is not an easy in and out of the seats. This venue is just horrible for anyone who is not undersized height and weight.... Ideal for children, not so much for adults. Since changing from The Providence Civic Center to the Dunkin Donuts Center you would have thought of upgraded and updated seats, I am sad to tell anyone reading this that the only thing to be upgraded was the façade and the appearance with additions of Dunkin Donuts restaurants inside. AVG SIZED PEOPLE DEMAND MORE ROOM!!!
This venue was a fantastic place to see a hockey game at. The seats were great.
I was very upset that the stars of the team were not present. If I would of bought the package that the Dunkin Donut Center was doing I would of asked for my money back. It was all new player who are still trying out for the team this year. I loved the seats where great being close to where they walked out on to the ice.
Amazingly fantastic seats In the seventh row, great tickets for the money. I could never afford to see a game like that at The Garden In Boston. Easy on, easy off I - 95 to get to The Dunkin' Donuts Center In Providence. Garage parking a block away for just $10.00. A great first game. The Bruins trounced The Devils 2 - 0. Matt Irwin scored both goals & the crowd was hoping for a Hat Trick. There were fights and scuffles all night long, both teams were really amped up. I wish I could afford seats like this all the time.
We had a great time and the game was definitely exciting. The only thing I was disappointed about was the fact that the main players were not in the game. Only the rookies played. There was also no mention that the top players would not be there. I know the tickets weren't that expensive, but when you hear that the Bruins are playing you expect to see at least some of the better known players in the game.
I had a great experience. Always great to see the games live. The music is very exciting and it's fun watching the fans on the screen overhead. But seeing the players live is the best of all. I was very impressed to see them in action. It was definitely exciting. I enjoyed the prizes that were randomly passed out even though I didn't receive any. I was hoping I would and that anticipation was fun. The family atmosphere adds to the fun and makes you feel safe and enables you to relax and enjoy!! It feels like one big party!!
This was an exciting game! The seats were GREAT! It was fan appreciation night unknown to me at the time of purchasing tickets! This was amazing!
What a great afternoon of hockey. The Bruins were on a six-game losing streak. The Rangers were tied for the best record in hockey. There were many blueshirts in the stands cheering for the visitors, but the B's came out on fire silencing them, led by Milan Lucic's two first-period goals. Even after goalie Tuukka Rask had to leave the game, the Bruins kept pouring it on and led 4-0 before two New York garbage time goals.
I brought my girl friend from Ct to her first Bruins game. Her first hockey game was two weeks before (Yale vs. Harvard.) This was the second woman I have taken to their first Bruins game in two years and each of them is now "hooked." There is a level of friendship and unity among Bruins fans that is immediately contagious, she caught the fever. Despite the fact that we sat among inconsolably disconsolate NY Ranger fans, we still very much enjoyed ourselves.
Traveled from So. Cal. To Boston to see the Ducks play the Bruins. LOVED the hockey atmosphere at TD Garden. The fans were beyond great.
Easy access from downtown Boston via metro. Station next to TD Garden.
great seats had loads of fun will do it again and again
