My friend and I had a fantastic time at Bored Teachers The Struggle is Real Comedy Show in Virginia Beach. It was great fun, everyone enjoyed the evening and the show was relatable. Too funny! I definitely would recommend this comedy show to anyone looking for an evening of laughter and fun, especially for educators.

  • Needed a Little Bit More

I was expecting a little bit more from this show. Perhaps one more comedian would've done the trick. I felt the show wasn't long enough.

A great night out with a teacher friend totally laughing and relating to all the material! Hope they come back in this area again!

  • Non-stop Laughs!

by Frazzled Teacher on 12/15/24Capital One Hall - TysonsRating: 5 out of 5

From the first teacher emcee to the end, this was a night of laughs and fun! It was great to hear jokes from people who “get it”. So many inner thoughts that you might have during a school day are brought to life in a really funny way. Each of the comedians had a different style, and each was a riot! If you are a teacher, go see this show!!

  • Great show!

I literally laughed the entire time… to the point I was crying! So fun! I went with a team teacher. Many teachers came in groups. The four comedians who performed were former teachers & I could relate to every joke told. Go and enjoy!!

After a really long and arduous work week, this break was EXACTLY what I needed! It felt great to just laugh at the common shenanigans, we educators face! Definitely plan to attend another show in the future.

  • Absolutely hilarious

As a teacher, I’m so glad I finally saw the show in person. The jokes were on point and hilarious. Very relatable and the merchandise were funny too.

  • Very Funny and Relatable

    by Teach4 on 11/29/24Auditorium Theatre - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

The teachers were very funny and most of their stories in their acts were hilarious. They all certainly captured the nuances of teaching as a profession in today's schools.

  • Nearly Perfect

    by Nerdgirl19 on 11/28/24Auditorium Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Sound was great, lighting was great, ushers were helpful and polite. The comedians were especially nice during the meet and greet, and I was surprised how organized and smooth the meet and greet went. My only issue was the cost of the drinks being sold at a Bored Teachers event, which means the audience is made up of teachers. While I am not expecting free drinks, I was stunned that a vodka cranberry cost $14. Not to mention, the prices weren’t listed anywhere visible (that I could see at least), so when I was paying, I felt bamboozled. It wasn’t even that good of a drink, there was more ice than anything. The only other feedback I have is based on the placement of the chairs in the pit, since I was being squished by the person I sat next to. This isn’t anyone else’s fault, but the person was pretty much sitting on me the entire show and I was wishing there was a little more space between the chairs.

  • Definitely a Teacher Show

by Candiland on 11/26/24Auditorium Theatre - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

All the comedians are funny. I saw the show last year, and some of the jokes were the same. My teacher friends and I still really enjoyed it.

  • Disappointed

by Kate on 11/26/24Auditorium Theatre - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

I saw them last year and laughed my butt off for 2 hours straight! Not kidding! This time around… the comedians that were also from last year used like 90% of the same material… definitely a huge let down!!!

  • honest and funny

by EJ on 11/26/24Auditorium Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Went with my cousin and we were both laughed really hard. There were jokes for lots of people and if you are in education, you will laugh hard as well.

  • Could NOT stop laughing!

This show is the BEST comedy show. Period. All of the comics are personable and hilarious! This was my third show and I have already bought tickets for the fourth show! Plan on booking for the Saved By The Beach Party in July!!!

  • Funniest teachers ever!

My coworkers and I had a blast. We laughed the entire night. Absolutely cannot wait for you all to come back to Chicago.

  • Not as funny as I hoped

by AmyCTeach on 11/26/24Auditorium Theatre - ChicagoRating: 2 out of 5

I saw Bored teachers last year in the summer and found it funny. I thought this time was disappointing. It would help to know ahead of time before buying tickets which teacher is going to perform. The girl I liked to watch was not present.
