Please welcome to the stage, LIVE and at the CIBC Theatre for the first time ever...BETTY BOOP! That sassy-sweet champion of empowerment, that spit-curled icon of joy, that songstress of strength comes alive in BOOP!, the new Broadway-bound musical-comedy extravaganza.
Tony Award-winning director/choreographer Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, La Cage aux Folles, Hairspray) brings the Queen of the Animated Screen to the theater with celebrated multiple Grammy Award-winning composer David Foster ("I Have Nothing," "After the Love Is Gone," "The Prayer"), Tony Award-nominated lyricist Susan Birkenhead (Working, Jelly's Last Jam), and Tony Award-winning bookwriter Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone, The Prom).
For almost a century, Betty Boop has won hearts and inspired fans around the world with her trademark looks, voice, and style. Now, in BOOP!, Betty's dream of an ordinary day off from the super-celebrity in her black-and-white world leads to an extraordinary adventure of color, music, and love in New York City--one that reminds her and the world, "You are capable of amazing things." Boop-oop-a-doop!

An amazing show! You don’t have to know anything about Betty Boop. And if you’re an older person like me who never liked Ms. Boop, that’s fine too. Great music, story, and choreography. So glad I had the chance to see it before it hits New York.
I’m a true Boop fan and over 50. Over the past 5-10 years I’ve been packing away my Boop trinkets thinking I was too old. This musical made me embrace my love of Boop and appreciation for what she represents as the original can-do woman. Love live Betty!
Jerry Mitchell has a winner. The cast, dance and music are outstanding. Jasmine Amy Rogers as Betty Boop is perfection ❤️❤️
Really enjoyed Boop the Musical! Fast paced action and great entertainment. Sure glad we went, the talent was top notch!
A fantastic, fun show for the whole family. Such amazing dances and overall performance. Loved it so much I’m hoping to see it again before it leaves Chicago
This show is adorable personified on stage. The cast is filled with talent. Jasmine Amy Rogers is perfection as Betty! I was happy to see face prints on stage, always phenomenal. Every performer was great. The set was a good combination of screen projections and practical sets. Some of the dancing was exhilarating, some of it didn't quite work. But this is a world premiere and I'm sure there will be more changes. There is really nothing objectionable in this show, I wouldn't take very young children because it is a bit long but it's family-friendly! If you're looking for seats, Row K in the center orchestra section is the BEST spot for this show. Go see it!
The music and acting deserve an award wouldn’t be surprised if they get a few
This show was spectacular- extremely well cast, fun and colorful! The show was cute and brought a lot of laughs. I highly recommend everyone go see this before it makes it to Broadway!
Great show and a joy to be a part of opening event. The cast is superb, Ms. Boop is a Star!
I grew up in a musical family and my uncle was probably the most famous broadway musical director of all time. I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. This is the good! I was shocked at how tight all the choreography and music was for a show that is so new. The voices were top-notch and the music was a ton of fun. I'd lower the orchestra's volume a small amount to allow the audience to catch more of the words, but the musicians were great too. To get to broadway (and I have no doubt this will get there), I suspect they'll need to write in a bit more depth to the story. Whether that's more of a message, more angst, or whatever, I'm not sure. Go see this before it leaves because it really is a great show. You will not be disappointed. Congratulations to everyone involved!
We loved the show! It was so cute. The staging was incredible, as were the costumes and props. The performances were also outstanding, especially from Mrs. Boop. What a wonderful return to the magic of musical theatre after the pandemic!
This was an awesome musical ! I see awards 💪👌 worth going to see . Everyone from kids to grandparents will enjoy 😊
If I am being totally honest, the show itself needs a few tweaks, but I am sure those minor issues will be ironed out before they take it to Broadway. What doesn't need any tweaking is the performance by Jasmine Amy Rogers. She was spectacular! Amazing voice, great actress, adorable facial expressions and perfect for this role. It is such a fun show and one that I could see over and over again. Don't miss the opportunity to see it before tickets become hard to get. You won't be sorry!
Great music! Dance numbers are so great! The lighting from black/white to color was spectacular!
We really enjoyed Boop! A fun plot and fun scenery, and really fabulous costumes! (Oh, and the singing and dancing were wonderful, too!)
I’m there when it opens.. Everything David Foster touches is genius!
