About

BONOBO IN CONCERT:

Bonobo is constantly testing the boundaries of the ever-expanding landscape of electronica, pioneering new sonic territory with his downtempo, percussive style. Combining ambient sounds and lush synths, Bonobo creates a dream world for fans to escape to during his live shows, mesmerizing audiences with abstract tracks like “Kirra” and “Cirrus.” Whether he’s performing solo or with a 12-piece band, Bonobo will reward fans with his distinct sound and stunning visuals on 2014's The North Borders Tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Simon Green, a.k.a. Bonobo, got his start probing drum machines and producing music in his hometown in rural Britain. This sparked his passion to DJ full time, which included playing local gigs and releasing his 2000 debut Animal Magic under the moniker Bonobo. Since then, he’s collaborated with artists like Erykah Badu and Grey Reverend (Cinematic Orchestra), performed at the world-renowned Coachella festival, and played sold out shows worldwide. The North Borders Tour 2014 will be just as electrifying as Bonobo treats fans to old favorites alongside new tracks from his 2013 fifth studio release.

Great show by Bonobo, disappointed with l'Olympia

by Bassivlc on 9/25/22MTELUS - Montreal

Bonobo gave a great show as usual, this is my 5b time seeing him play, and he never disappoints. Great flow through the various tracks, great stage presence. Amazing. But l'Olympia is simply my least favorite venue in Montreal. Every time I go, the sound seems worse! Muffled highs, muddy lows, and the steps down the floor are very annoying. They owe themselves to get a new sound system in there designed by a professional. Thanks

    Something new everytine

by Sofe on 3/20/22History - Toronto

As an avid listener and concert goer of Bonobo for over 15 years, it has been incredible to see Simon’s music evolve and grow over that time. Every concert has a little something new and unique to it, especially the live band performances.

    Good venue

by Bry on 3/14/22History - Toronto

Nice venue, good lighting and sound system, drink prices are a little pricier than I thought they'd be.

    Great show and venue

    by Bootch4000 on 3/12/22History - Toronto

Second time seeing Bonobo and it is always great, but equally impressive was the venue - clean, good sight lines, good sound (not ear splitting), and lots of space.

Sound quality ruined it for me

by Sivitri on 9/27/17Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco

I'd been wanting to see Bonobo for years and was so excited. Unfortunately because of the sound quality I had difficulty enjoying the music. The vocals and all the instruments and layered nuances were totally drowned out by overwhelming base and primary electronic sound. I moved around the venue to see if the sound improved depending on location but it did not make a difference. It was rather frustrating. I would rather have been at home listening to one of the albums on headphones.

    Excellent venue

by RandiandNick on 9/27/17Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco

Tourist was a surprise highlight of the night Bonobo always pleases. Adding such a great opener plus such a cool venue just really seals the deal.

    Best Bonobo Performance, To Date

by JAMACH on 9/27/17Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco

Acoustics were amazing, Bonobo combined the orchestral performance from a few years ago with the brass band from his most recent Fox Theater (Oakland, CA) performance earlier this year, for an amazing experience at Bill Graham Center (SF, CA). Wish I could see it all over again!

    Bonobo never disappoints

by walletmoth on 9/27/17Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco

I've seen Bonobo multiple times now, though this was the biggest venue yet. Still, if you have the chance to go to one of his actual shows (not just a DJ set), don't pass it up. I think at one point there were 13 different people on stage contributing to the songs with Mr. Green leading them all like a conductor of sorts. Hands down my favorite artist to see live.

    Bonobo was off the hook!

by Ebibi on 5/3/17Electric Factory - Philadelphia

First time at the Electric Factory seeing Bonobo. The only real complaint about the venue was the bar set up. We were packed like sardines and there's only one way out/in. Wish they had a better design to exit near the front by the stage so the flow of traffic was better. We started out dancing up front by the stage to the left but the reverb coming off the speakers was too much for us. It really drowned out the voices of the singers and the bass sounded bad. Maybe in the middle of the room or up above sounded better. Either way it was an awesome show and as always Bonobo made amazing music to dance to.

This show sucked, the "live band" (a glorified karaoke act) played for and hour and 45 minutes and ended the show at 1120pm... on a Saturday night. What a waste of money. No one was dancing, everyone's looked sad, there was never a peak during the show ... lame as fuck. Wish I could get my money back. Bonobo was a major MAJOR letdown.

Literally the most amazing performance I have ever seen. Truly beautiful and earth shaking experience. Thank you, Bonobo, Szjerdene and fellow musicians. Thank you Electric Factory for a well controlled and positive experience in a dope atmosphere.
