    Great experience

by Pery on 11/11/22Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - Boise

Very well performed and it was nice listening to the young students at that point in their musical journey. The conductors did a great job of educating the audience on the pieces that were selected.

    The orchestra was wonderful!

by Music lover on 10/28/22Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - Boise

The quality of the performance was at a professional level. The rapport between the musicians and the conductor was a joy to watch and enabled the discipline that produced the wonderful musical results. We thoroughly enjoyed it and left the event with lighter hearts and feeling so glad we had come.

    Fun for kids

by Shardy on 11/22/21Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - Boise

This was an orchestra concert. But it was fun for kids. There were a lot of sing-along songs for the audience. It was short and fast, an hour and a half. The marching band at the end was awesome And very exciting. The low brass band was great. The choirs left a lot to be desired. At a university the size of BSU I would think the choirs would be larger and better. We think it might be because of Covid. They all had to wear masks while they sang. Maybe 3/4 of the choir didn’t want to be in choir this semester. The three music majors in my family said they wouldn’t be. I would give it five stars for what it was, a family holiday concert. But I’m knocking it down to three for the agenda of BSU Pushing masks And vaccinations. It was ridiculous to see horn players wearing a mask while they played. Or an MC definitely 6 feet away from everyone wearing a mask. I didn’t appreciate it. Actually maybe I’ll knock it down to two stars.

by N. T. on 12/16/19Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - Boise

This was the first year my family went with me to the program. They loved it! We will make it an annual Christmas family outing. The marching band continues to be my favorite part of the evening!

    A Holiday Must

by Linda on 12/11/19Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - Boise

Enjoyed by all that I encountered. Student musicians impressive... sing alongs were great fun. Only gave this year 4 stars due to absence of Buster Bronco & more cheerleaders

by D. G. on 12/9/19Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - Boise

It was absolutely one of the best Holiday concerts I've ever been to other than our grandchildren's orchestra concerts! The price was very reasonable, the seating, comfortable, the music amazing!!! The BSU Blue Thunder Marching band was thrilling!!! Thank You!

    Best show in town!

by 777Singer on 12/11/17Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - Boise

I look forward to the BSU Music Department Christmas Concert again next year. This is my 2nd year seeing it and I loved it again! Every part of the program is well done and I enjoyed them all. However, my favorite part is the Keith Stein Blue Thunder Marching Band! Something about the energy and enthusiasm that I look forward to each year.

    Moving experience!!!

by Historian12 on 12/10/15Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - Boise

This was an amazing experience and what a wonderful way to get into the Holiday mood. My Grandson plays in the marching band and my Great Nephews girlfriend sings in the chior. Every group that participated performed wonderfully!!! Boise State has wonderful music Professors and they seem to put their whole heart and sole into their music and their students. Mark Johnson did a wonderful job as MC and seem to have a lot of fun doing it. Have already spread the word to friends and family to attend next year.

BSU Music Department does it again!

by Anonymous on 12/9/15Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - Boise

A holiday tradition in the Treasure Valley did not disappoint. Kudos to the enitre BSU Music Department. Joyful, energetic, talented, amusing, and memorable. Mark Johnson was a wonderful emcee, adding a great entertaining touch when conducting the orchestra in "Sleigh Ride". All my favorites. Plus, who can resist the audience-wide sing-a-long? Favorite moment when the BSU Blue Thunder Marching Band came "thundering" into the theater, drum line beating, lining all the walkways, and playing a massive Christmas mash-up. Also, a high-five to the marvelous staff at the Morrison Center; smoothest entrance and exit ever.

    BSU Music Department Christmas Concert

by gdru on 12/9/15Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - Boise

So much more than I expected.........the variety of music covering each department's part either individually or combined was outstanding....great talent....now to continue encouraging music to remain in our public schools....Fine Arts of all kind make a well rounded adult...keep up the wonderful work and BSU should be very proud of their music department and hard work of both students and great instructors...A great family event for sure.
