  • Bodeans Minnesota Outdoor summer night

by DRJSB on 8/1/12Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple ValleyRating: 4 out of 5

The show was fantastic! Kurt did a great job without harmonizing with Sammy on some of their most memorable tunes. Venue was awesome. The Bodeans are always a must to see show. 27 years they have been out there always rocking the crowd. Great job guys!

  • Bodean's wonderful as always (even w/o Sammy)

by saandta on 7/31/12Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple ValleyRating: 5 out of 5

The Bodean's rocked Apply valley at he Zoo Ampitheater. Our 1st time at a concert there. We will definately be back. Afordable prices, beautiful backdrop and sound. Perfect night for an outdoor concert. Cold beer and great mucic. Music and Kurt's voice was powerful (as well as the band). The venue lacked nothing without Sammy next to Kurt which surprised me. The only bad part was when they were done playing. Not a bad seat in the place.

  • The Bodeans have lost something

by MGBlaze on 7/31/12Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple ValleyRating: 2 out of 5

This concert was disappointing, the Bodeans were missing something without half their old vocal group and they did not play all of their hits as they ran out of time with the zoos hard stop time.

  • Brilliant Bodeans

My first time to see The Bodeans. Loved the genre! Very fun and upbeat. What a talented group of musicians! Would definitely see them again.

  • Bodeans at the MN Zoo

by Mo2012 on 7/30/12Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple ValleyRating: 3 out of 5

The MN Zoo is an awesome venue for outdoor music. The Bodeans just aren't the same without Sam Llanas. Anything Sam sang wasn't done at this show. Disappointed to not hear "Naked" or "Go Slow Down". While the show was good, the pretty much totally new band line up should look at changing their name. They aren't the Bodeans without Sam.

This was my first time at the MN Zoo Amphitheater and it definitely will not be my last!! The Bodeans were true entertainers! Kurt's voice was perfect, all musicians were at the top of their game, storytelling between songs makes for a most memorable experience.

Very good show. The Bodeans keep the mood light and fun. The Venue was great for this type of show. I would recommend the Bodeans to anyone.

  • BoDeans not the band from my college years.

by Anonymous on 7/30/12Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple ValleyRating: 3 out of 5

The music was okay, I've been a fan for years. Part of my problem with show was the sound system; it was pushed way too hard and vocals 'clipped out' all night. I like seeing shows at the Zoo, but this one has been my least favorite to date.

  • BoDeans were great!

by Iamacpa on 7/29/12Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple ValleyRating: 4 out of 5

Very fun evening...can't beat this venue for a intimate outdoor performance.

  • Bodeans - great music & great audience interaction

by Anonymous on 7/29/12Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple ValleyRating: 5 out of 5

Just saw the Bodeans at the MN Zoo amphitheater. They put on a great show at a very fun place. I really appreciated the interaction the band had with the audience between songs.

  • The Bodeans

by VegasB on 7/2/12Lincoln Theatre - COLUMBUSRating: 4 out of 5

The band was outstanding, the venue was charming, but the crowd was too small. Too bad for those that missed it, it was worth the trip!!

  • by Anonymous on 7/2/12Vogue Theatre - IndianapolisRating: 2 out of 5

The sound in the Vogue was poor. I have seen the BoDeans in this venue before and the sound was much better.

  • The Bodeans were exceptional!

by Wyomingrose on 7/2/12Lincoln Theatre - COLUMBUSRating: 5 out of 5

This seven man band plays complex, interesting, throbbing rock and roll, cajun, ballads. Lead singer/songwriter has a great voice and plays a terrific guitar. Drummer never stops. The fellow on keyboards also plays trumpet and accordian. Percussionist plays everything that percusses, including great bongo drums. Bass player holds up his end of the deal. The fiddle player is awesome...and I don't usually like fiddles. They put on a great show, and deserve a much bigger crowd than turned out. They have 13 albums on itunes, which tells you a lot. I'll definitely go if they come this way again.

Audience thoroughly enjoyed the good music. I've never been disappointed with the Bodeans.

  • BoDeans stroll down memory.......wait, what?

by OyVehWiththeScreenNames on 7/2/12Lincoln Theatre - COLUMBUSRating: 2 out of 5

Only found out the "lead" singer left the band after I bought tickets. Was a fan from the 80's and the show wasn't bad. The "remaining" BoDean just needs to remember that the BoDeans are a DUO. There should be plenty of guitarists, etc. that could sing in harmony with him to revive a bit more of the old spirit.

  • Bodeans

by BloodNIronEnterprise on 6/22/12Variety Playhouse - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

They rocked the joint - but that was certainly expected. The Variety Playhouse is one of the very best places to see a fantastic band such as The Bodeans, I'm sure that is why they chose to play there. Looking forward to the next time...

  • 1/2 the band they used to be...

    by JeffyB141414 on 6/22/12Variety Playhouse - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

The BoDeans were always known for thier eclectic music. A little rock and little country; but always great music. With the departure of Sammy, the Rick left with him. Kurt, still a great musician, turned country on us. It's been a while since I've seen the BoDeans but sadly they have change so much straying front their roots, I am not sure I will see them again. Even the old standbys has been re-tuned for steel guitar and accordion. I guess every band changes and some roll with the times and some go their own way. They are still a great band, but you better bust out the Stetson and polish up the snake skins 'cause it's going to be a ho-down.

  • Bodeans Rock

by tjmlove on 6/22/12Jannus Live - St PetersburgRating: 5 out of 5

Saw The Bodeans at Jannus Live on 6/14/12. Wasn't sure what to expect now that Sammys gone but they did NOT disappoint. Kurt stepped it up a little and the new lineup filled in well. The new material sounded good and the old favorites came across well. They had the whole crowd dancing and singing along. We left asking ourselves "Sammy who??? Great show Kurt keep it up!!!.
