About

A true "comic's comic," Bobby Slayton, often referred to as "The Pitbull of Comedy", has been performing his own intense style of stand-up comedy for over 20 years, becoming one of the best known, respected, and energetic comics working today.
Audiences around the country may recognize Bobby from his scene-stealing roles in movies such as "Get Shorty", "Ed Wood", "Bandits" and, most recently, "Dreamgirls".  He's been seen on dozens of television shows including "The Tonight Show" and "Politically Incorrect".   Bobby's many appearances on HBO have included "Comic Relief" and his own stand-up special.   He was a series regular on the HBO series "Mind of a Married Man", and played Joey Bishop opposite Ray Liotta and Joe Mantegna in the critically acclaimed film "The Rat Pack".
Slayton's distinctive gravelly voice has often been heard on animated shows like "Dr. Katz'" and "Family Guy", as well as many popular radio shows across the country including Howard Stern, Kevin & Bean, and Tom Leykis. The NY Daily News called Slayton "Armed and Dangerous" and the Las Vegas Review Journal pointed out that "Slayton's refusal to comprise his art has always made him worth a special trip."

Bobby is the king of comedy

by ibinbad1 on 10/17/17Punch Line Comedy Club - San Francisco - San Francisco

Iv'e been to four of Bobby's events and he ceases to amaze me with his comedy. Always mixes new material with the older jokes. Still love the older jokes. Makes you laugh long after the show.

Most offensive comedian in the business. TERRIBLE

by wigglesSF on 10/17/17Punch Line Comedy Club - San Francisco - San Francisco

By far the worst, racist, sexist comedian I've ever come in contact with. Verbally attacked my group for being women, gay and not finding his absolutely tactless jokes funny. Most offensive thing I've actually ever experienced in all my years of going to comedy or living in San Francisco. I understand that comedians make fun of everyone, but not based on hate. This felt like an attack. Our table left along with about 6 others within 5 minutes of him taking the stage. Worthless man. Punchline should ban him from ever coming back. NO STARS

It doesn't get any better than Bobby Slayton!

by Budman22986 on 2/14/17Punch Line Philly - Philadelphia

My wife and I have been waiting to see BobbySlayton locally for years. AC and NY is too far and too costly! I jumped on this as soon as I got the email. What a great venue as well. Punchline Philly is our new go to for comedy!

Still the best pit bull out there!!!

by lorcha on 10/17/16Punch Line Comedy Club - San Francisco - San Francisco

Bobby was on fire this last Friday night. My husband and I are fans of his for many years. When I heard of his wife's sudden tragic death, I immediately wanted to come out with my husband to support him. I have to admit that I didn't expect him to be on his game. Thought he would be "off". But he brought it BIG TIME. He should be so proud of himself! We were! He is a survival of the fittest. Funny, funny man!

Bobby is a stone cold killer!

by Bugfucker on 7/11/16Punch Line Comedy Club - Sacramento - Sacramento

Leave your feelings at the door when Bobby visits! Everyone and everything is fair game! Shut off all your insensitivity. Or be brutalized by his comedy. Buckle up buttercup. The pit bull is baaack! Loved it.

Bobby was worth going out in the storm

by honestalberto on 12/15/14Punch Line Comedy Club - San Francisco - San Francisco

After going to a week long HR company meeting where everyone was PC, Bobby balanced my week with 90 min of politically incorrect material. He is one of the quickest, innovative, bold, stand up comedians in the business. Great material delivered with no fear and no apologies. Refreshing and a must see.

    Just keeps getting better!

by RobC25 on 12/10/12Punch Line Comedy Club - San Francisco - San Francisco

I hadn't seen Bobby Slayton perform in probably 20 years but he still looks great. Older of course and a bit thin but still in rare form. It was a bad night to be sitting up front if you were black, Asian, Arabic or even just a nice guy sitting with some young ladies who got labeled a gay retard! In 30+ years of going to comedy clubs, I've never seen a comedian make anyone cry. But Bobby tore this guy up pretty bad and he really looked like he was about to. Classic Slayton!

    Slayton was slaying!

by magtony on 12/8/12Punch Line Comedy Club - San Francisco - San Francisco

Bobby Slayton doesn't pull any punches when it comes to making fun of certain races or sexes and at least he does it in a comedic non abusive way. I would definitely see him again.

    Funny Old Jew!!!

by Frankenfurter on 12/8/12Punch Line Comedy Club - San Francisco - San Francisco

Bobby Slayton continues to be a hilarious, high-energy, quick-wittted comic. We've seen him a number of times and always enjoy his show. He's softened just a bit around the edges, but he continues to be the undisputed "Pit-Bull of Comedy". The two warm-up acts were good too.

    Bobby was hilarious

by Jammer123445 on 12/7/10Emerald Queen Casino - Tacoma

The opener, Chris, got thngs going and Bobby polished the laughs off. All around including myself were rolling with tears in our eyes. Loved the SHOW!!! The host EQC was not so good, security forcing people out of their seats and my girl friend is limping from knee surgery and has a cane to assist her with walking, security didnt care..very disappointing by the host.

Very funny. You can't be offended because he insults everyone. The opening comedian was also funny. A good way to spend an evening by laughing for a few hours.

Enjoyed Bobby Slayton's show. Did not care for the venue. Smoke filled casino, awful food, poor acoustics. Chairs were one notch above folding chairs.
