Killin it up in Hampton Beach

by doobies on 7/27/09Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

Bobby and the boys came out firing on all cylinders, estimated prophet was unreal. Solid, solid show, full of energy as the crowd was all fired up.

    Bobby was jammin' hardcore

by irishsio on 7/27/09Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

Still miss Jerry, but after the Dead shows this spring, decided to give Rat Dog another a try (Phil and Friends - that's a given) and had an awesome time. The cops at the beach, however, were rent a cops with a chip on their shoulders and made what could have been an excellent night into a pain in the ass night.

Ratdog always brings it to Hampton Beach !

by jaxstrawwanabe on 7/27/09Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

Better than average Ratdog show at one of my all time favorite venues, mostly suffering from a weak setlist... The band is on fire and is playing strong and tight. Bobby's vocals seem strained at times. Casey Jones opener was a surprise and the boys rocked it.

Bob and the boys do it again

by luvchild35 on 7/26/09Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

The show was awesome. High light of the night was when they did the other ones. I love the venue set up at The Casino Ballroom, very intimate setting. I looked forward to driving there each year to see Bob Weir and Ratdog, they always keep me coming back for more...

tremendous show!! great vibe,, as usual for ratdog or dead shows, and musicianship is unparalleled in the world of popular music today.. only complaint would br the amount of time it took the band to finally get on stage and play!

    Bob Weir and Rat Dog

by beccaskid98 on 7/26/09Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

The show was awesome!!! The atmosphere inside the Hampton Beach Casino was amazingly fantastic, with the exception of a few out of control drunks. I really wish they had opened the doors sooner so we could have all been inside before the show had started. It would have been nice if Bobby had started the show when we all were inside instead of starting when there was still at least 3,000 people still outside being searched and harrassed by the police and security. There was such a long line to get in and everyone within the casino as far as security could have been a little quicker or more people at the doors helping out to get us in sooner. I felt the Hampton police were a little on the excessive side with their patrolling of the parking lot. Beyond that the concert was unforgettable!!!

    Quite impressive

by Byll on 7/25/09Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

No one knows how to play quite like Ratdog. They've found the normal guidelines of music, and broke them just the right way to make it worth while.

Ratdog never fails to thoroughly thrill

by DMittie on 7/25/09Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

I always love hearing Ratdog at Hampton Beach. Always happy to see them anytime they come to the East Coast, whether it's in NY, MA or NH ~ it's always great fun and a good time! I love the fact that they always mix it up for every concert so you never quite know what to expect but no matter they play I know I'll never be disappointed. Bob Weir and Rat Dog, you always make me smile ~ Keep on rockin me with pure joy!

    Weir and Ratdog YEAH

by Riccadude on 7/25/09Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

Strong second night. First set had some nice nuggets and flowed great with a nice Dark Star interlude, Big Boss Man, Truckin..it was all fun. Great second with Awesome open of Me and My Uncle into Desolation Row. The fun didn't stop there with some Estimated Prophet and great jammin by the RaT into a touch of DS off to Come Together back to Dark and into GDTRFB. Bob chose a great encore with accapella Attics of My Life... The weather, the beach, and Bob and Ratdog....it has to be a great summer!

    Another great Ratdog show!

by ChicoNYC on 7/25/09Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

After 33 years, Bob and co. never cease to amaze me. The quality of the musicianship just keeps getting better with all of the band members, especially Mark making great strides over the years. What a great set list, with Dark Star intertwind all throughout the night with a lot of great upbeat songs too. I need a Miracle, Truckin, Big Boss Man, Big Railroad Blues, Me & My Uncle, Goin down the road, Desolation row, Estimated Prophet, and many more with a great accapella encore of Attics of my life. It seems like Bob just decided to do that last minute and had to communicate to all the band members who then put down their instruments and began singing. Very moving and all left happy. We will keep doing this until it all ends someday. Hopefully not to soon.

Weir & Ratdog Impressive At Hampton Beach...

by Goody5 on 7/25/09Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

Bobby Weir gave the fans their monies worth with over 3 hours of a great mix of Dead tunes and solo stuff. Bobby crooned in fine form on Little Red Rooster and the band was tight all night long. China Cat Sunflower / I Know You Rider were nicely done and the entire crowd came together during Wharf Rat. Touch of Grey was the encore. Goody
