I love Reggae, but this event was not all that great. Many weird people in the audience, drinks were overpriced. Then supposedly after I left the event a big fight broke out in the crowd?
My Husband and I have attended the Raggamuffin for the last three years in a row and again we enjoyed ourselves completley!!!!! Gentleman is always a pleasure to see!!!! Marcia Griffiths was so Beautiful and Elegant and gave a wonderful show!!!!!! It was a special treat to be able to see Israel Vibration preform. Rain or shine we will be there next year can't wait for Raggamuffin "2012"
Too bad it costs more every year, but hey that's everything nowadays.

The artists there were really amazing. I loved all the booths and crafts they had to purchase. I had the opportunity to meet Don Carlos and see Rebelution. I cannot complain!

I used to attend this event annually years back and one year, I even sold merchandise in the marketplace. Bob Marley/Ragga Muffins was a fantastic concert when there used to be the dancehall day and the rasta day. But after the homophobic lyrics controversy, this concert never fully recovered. Anti-homosexual lyrics are wrong; yet, many of the finest dancehall acts were censored. Now we have two days of rasta music but even these selections weren't the best. Nuf respect to the artists that came, but they are mostly old acts and the young artists that came were mostly singing touristy music. I felt like I was at a beach resort in Montego Bay listening to tourist music. The marketplace is much smaller. The food is overpriced. My attendance made me feel old...as if the end of an era had come. I don't plan to attend again. Maybe that's why Bob Marley's name was taken off the event... maybe the Marley family isn't in agreement with the way this concert is now produced.
Concert was great...Jamming Artist!! Great Food! the only down side, we were"t allowed to go back to the car when we forgot the camera, and we weren"t even in the building yet...that was not cool. otherwise we had a blast!!
The festival was soooo sick.... Rebelution, young kingston and bunny wailer bad ass!
The show was great! I LOVED Freddie McGregor & I-Octane! Marcia Griffiths was phenomenal!
Twas the shit... got there early, rolled some blunts, got rolled up on by security, kept my herb, and did it all over again.. went both days... helluva show, sick ass line up... cant wait for next year's.
Show should be longer though. Also post set times beforehand.

great time but this event should be 18 and over... the only bad part - the guy that would not stop screaming his ass off on stage while the DJ was playing some classic Bob M...! i hope that guy isn't there next year... thanks, AC1

I love this event and I will make sure to come back every year from now on as long as you keep the same format, mostly raggea artists then a newer artist such as sublime or Rebelution or Iration
I will never return!! We stayed for an hour. Saw the whole place. Then left. We would have saved $100 if we went to the town carnival!!!!! There were a bunch of overpriced kiosks and horrible food. Not to mention a regular beer was $12!!!!!! It was a huge waste of $100!! I do not recommend it!!!
Had a good time. Looking forward to the next one. Only wish they would hold this towards the end of spring or early summer. An outdoor festival would be awesome. Either case it was awesome to hanging with my best bud for a day...
