The show was fantastic and my son loved it. The problem was online stated the show was from 6-10 and it wasn’t even an hour. They started a few minutes after 6 and ended at 7. I thought there would be more than one episode.
It was cute, there was a big interactive finish we liked. I think it needs more interactions like that to break up the hr so the kids aren't just sitting around. The sound at our venue was too much music and could barely hear the storytelling. It needed adjusted.
I took my 4 year old daughter to this play. The entire play plus some audience interaction lasted less than an hour. For the price it wasn’t worth it. I think the play portion was maybe 30 minutes, similar to an episode of Bluey. It was cute and fun, but they only did one “episode.” I know my daughter was disappointed because she wanted to watch more. I wouldn’t go again, especially since I paid full price for my daughter’s seat.
Show was 45 minutes and very pricey. LAME perfectly describes this show.
We sat in the balcony, which was just ok for the viewing. The finale it was HORRIBLE! They had bubbles and big balloons they let you bounce around at the end & we were not part of that at all. Every kid on the balcony was crying! Why couldn’t they have at least let one balloon and some bubbles up there too?
I enjoy watching Bluey with my son (6) and decided to take him to the play. It was cute and he was super excited. He loved everything, especially the games. I liked the message about reducing cell phone use and making time for family. It was about 40 minutes so it felt short and he really wanted the show to continue. I understand kids shows are short but when they are engaged like this, it could be longer. The time really flew, that was the only negative for us. The story and ending were great.
We were all so excited for this show but unfortunately, it fell short. We expected that for the amount of money we paid, the show could have been longer than just 45 minutes. Also, the characters were maneuvered by several people which stood out throughout the entire show and distracted from the actual characters. This is the impression we gathered from our children in their own words as well. We understand that the show is designed for children, but clearly they were not as pleased either. We expected for each character to have their own functioning costumes (like Barney for example), that would have been so much more enjoyable. We are definitely not pleased with the show given the amount of money spent and the hype for months prior - the disappointment on our children’s face was devastating.
The seats we chose were supposed to be together but o ly 2 of us could sit together while the other person sat alone. I expect to see people actually IN the customs not standing behind them and jumping all over the place. The show was okay buy could have been way better for the cost. Once we were leaving, we took our daughter to buy a toy and was quoted one price and charged another. So this was not work it but I am glad my daughter enjoyed herself.
Lots of high energy Lots of fun for this old man and his granddaughter
Such a cute show with a good message, as always. But it was LOUD.
Took our 5 1/2 yr old to see the play and she loved it. Captured from beginning to end. Loved the finally with the “balloon,” and how the audience was able to participate. Only critic is should be a little longer went by too fast.
Initial issues with sound which improved throughout the show. However, right when we were getting super excited (About 25 minutes in) the show abruptly ended. It was weird, the characters just ran to the front and took their bows. Price was high for a 25 minute show.
Saw the show last November in NYC while we were on vacation and then saw it in our hometown last weekend. It’s the perfect amount of time for my 4 year old to sit through. For the hometown show, we sat on the balcony and the puppetry with the stage decor looks better from there in my opinion. Wonderful imagery and a great story line! We are true Bluey fans and this show is awesome!
The event was great everybody was involved it was awesome in the end, the house was full. Wish it was more than 60 minutes they started at 2 PM and ended at 3 PM. Even the ticket said 2 to 4. I give 9/10 star
My 2 year old daughter absolutely loved the show! The intro bit with the ibis was a little long, but overall, it was a great show. The "keepy-uppie"game and the end was fun but it would be nice if they made sure the people with seats higher up in the theater got a better opportunity to participate and got access to the bubbles too. My only real complaint (and the reason I didnt give 5 stars) is that there was almost no toddler friendly food at the event. We attended the 11am show and the only options for our daughter were a pretzel, some popcorn and a fruit cup. It would be nice if there were some more options for food for the kiddos (hot dogs, PB &J, etc). All the staff we encountered at the event was very friendly/helpful and the theater was clean and comfortable.
We had to leave because the volume of the performance was way too loud for a 3 month old and 2.5 year old. The puppets held with people was a bit surprising as well. We assumed people would be IN costume. Just overall not a great experience and unfortunately won’t be attending any more Bluey shows.
The live performance was great! Especially the end with audience participation
This play was extremely short for the price. I paid $300 plus for tickets for my family of 4. The cast should be inside the character suits. It was extremely distracting for the kids to watch bluey when the cast behind it is moving the arms and legs for the characters and objects. It seemed like this play was not thought out properly for children. The end of the play, they throw large balloons and bubbles for the children to play- however if you are not seated in the floor seats your kids do not get to participate. Once the play is over they have ONE booth for you to purchase any bluey gear. Of course, the line was 50 people deep. Maybe set up TWO or THREE booths. Overall, it was not a great experience. We left feeling blah and my girls did not enjoy the play.
My wife and i are fans of Bluey as of course our daughter is also. My daughter enjoyed the show but it was essentially only 30 mins long. It was way too short and not really worth it. I wish i would’ve known how long it was going to be as i would’ve saved my money. This should definitely be communicated better. With showtimes of 11:00 am 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm, i expected at least two 30 mins sessions with an intermission. I wasn’t a huge fan of the play but all o wanted was for my daughter to be happy. She liked it but even at 3.5 years old she was sad it was so short.
