Too many solos. Glad they played Run Around first so I could leave early.
First, when I purchased two 22 oz beers and a 12 oz Dr Pepper, it cost $39! Jeebus, at least kiss me before you bend me over! Blues Traveler was awesome as always, this was my 15th time seeing the band, but I was disappointed when they chose to play a number of cover tunes from The Charlie Daniels Band, Sublime, Tom Petty, Van Halen and others rather than play some of their own tunes.
Have seen them many times, have never been disappointed. John is truly amazing

I can't share enough how happy I am to have seen these guys live. Such a unique experience. There aren't many out there that can match the musical mastery that these guys have achieved. The amount of improv that happens at a show like this is so much fun and inspiring.
Blues Traveler deliver a fun, fast-paced show full of hits, jams, and surprising cover songs. This is not a nostalgia act. Had a great time!
First off, if they played a free show in my bathroom I would leave my house. They played mostly covers with 45 minute guitar solos with every single song and they played the same cover twice. I was stoked about seeing them but even more stoked about leaving early.
Ah, the days of music without autotune!! Blue Traveller is in great voice. Band is tight. Show rocked from one great song to the next for nearly 2 hours. Catch them if you can!!
JJ Grey and Mofro were absolutely amazing!!! Not sure why they were billed as an opener??? Should have been the main act. Left before Blues Traveler even started. The 5 star review is for JJ Grey and not Blues Traveler.
JJ Grey & Mofro were great. Had never heard them before. Great singer backed by a fine group of musicians who sounded very tight. I would see them again Blues Traveler was a major disappointment. This was the third time I have seen them & they were bad. The lead guitarist may have been high & turned up his volume such you could not hear the lead singer. The singer complained about the altitude & could not do his usual style. By the 3rd song he was taking a break. After just one more song they just acted like a high school garage band that was into long guitar solos. Much of the crowd was leaving with 30-40 minutes to go in the concert.
I was very happy to see them live! Was disappointed that they were only able to play a couple sets before they had to leave. I was not a fan of the opener at all and we had to listen to probably 10 sets from him. I would have been cool also to hear "run around"a song they are quite famous for. Overall, I am happy they did not cancel Seattle. Please come back to see us soon, I was trying to have my album art autographed. Thank you and hope your arm heals well John Popper.
Way too loud!!!!! I have been going to concerts since I was 13; I have never complained about volume before. But even my watch alerted me to the decibel level 97!
I have been seeing Blues Travelers for over 30 years. They continue to deliver. And, Marymoor Park is always such an inviting venue!
JJ Grey was okay. Too many slow songs and he said they were asked to play extra songs because John Popper was stuck in traffic. John showed up with his arm in a sling, no lights or anything on the stage and proceeded to tell the crowd he wanted to cancel the show, but we were already there, so….sort of things get a little “hinky” tonight. Left 4 songs into Blues Traveler’s disappointing set. No energy, okay playing, but not great. Popper’s harmonica too quiet. Will not be seeing them again.
I mainly went to see J.J. Grey & Mofro and they put on an amazing show, as they always do. (I have seen them multiple times in Boston and Florida before and they have always put on a awesome show.) Enjoyed the venue tremendously and will come back for future shows. I believe that something happened to Blues Travelers such as an accident or something, I missed when he got on stage, so I will refrain from ranking their show at this time. Especially since I was primarily there to see J.J. Grey and Mofro.
They sounded good, but you'd think a band that only had a handful of hits would play them, but instead complained and played covers of other songs.
JJ Gray and the Mofros were great. Towards the end of their set JJ mentioned that John Popper was stuck in traffic. Ended their set and waited for Blues Travelers to start. When they started wasn't even sure it was Blues Travelers playing and the band just didn't seem into it. Then around 10:00 Popper says "okay we're at curfew so go and right after this I'm going to the hospital"then played their last song. Sorry he wasn't feeling well and obviously wasn't in it but people paid for these tickets and the show was disappointing.
The opener and venue were fantastic. Blues Traveler showed up late, he was injured and said he thought about cancelling. He should have done us all a favor and cancelled. They played about 4 songs and most of it was instrumental as he kept leaving the stage. They did not play any of the songs I wanted to hear. Then the time ran out and they were gone. He said he was headed to the ER. Do us all a favor next time and just cancel. I could have done other things with my day
Blues Traveler and JJ Grey/Mofro were great summer time tunes along the Blackfoot River. The venue was relatively cool, despite record high temps! A cool breeze off the water, and a bit of shade made it a perfect Montana evening.
It was an outdoor concert with temps above 100F and hardly any shade. I'm surprised there weren't more heat-related illnesses. JJ Gray was actually the best music of the night, with recognizable instruments and songs. Blues Traveler played a couple of established favorites but the rest was a torrent of loud cacophony. Difficult to distinguish one song from the next.
