  • Disappointed

by E. B. on 5/16/23Catholic Health Amphitheater at Bald Hill - FarmingvilleRating: 1 out of 5

Saturday, May 13th I logged on to Ticketmaster to see what concerts were nearby on Long Island. Ticketmaster showed 2 great bands playing : The Wallflowers and Blues Travelers at Bald Hill in Farmingville at 1pm! Seemed too good to be true….. but I purchased 2 tickets bc why wouldn’t I? What a disappointment for when my husband and I arrived there were paper signs posted that said school of rock was playing as well as other local unheard of bands and the Wallflowers and Blues Travelers were playing at 8pm and 9:45 pm!!! Ugggh talk about deceitful sales😡! We had to cancel our plans for that evening since we spent $111.00! We left and drove home (lucky us it was only a 40 mnt drive) as some others who were there with us for the same reason lived 2-3 hours away!!!! Honestly, it wasn’t even worth it bc the John Popper only played Runaround then jammed like it was a backyard bbq! We’ve seen him before when he was his awesome self but this fiasco was not worth it! Glad to finally see Dylan’s son in person but they played a lot of Tom Petty which was nice but would have been nicer to hear more original songs!

  • Fun time!

by MAtthewA on 5/16/23Catholic Health Amphitheater at Bald Hill - FarmingvilleRating: 4 out of 5

We enjoyed the concert...venue was great, parking was easy, food and drink vendors were quite enjoyable! Security Staff @ the entrance was somewhat rude and unhelpful. We were under the impression that empty water bottles would be allowed inside based on a review of the event's website, but when we arrived @ the gate, we were told otherwise. Poor communication @ the very least.

Super music from Popper & Company! The room was great as always. There's not a bad seat in the house

  • Blues Traveler Still Rocks

by SC-MusicFans on 10/27/22The Charleston Music Hall - CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

John Popper & his band continues to put on a great show! We saw them 20 years ago and now again all these years later, they put out a music that just makes you want to get up & dance. Charleston Music Hall continues to be one of the best venues around.

  • Solid

They crushed it the entire night!!!! Would see them again anytime!!!

  • Great band!

by Rob Lowe on 10/27/22The Charleston Music Hall - CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

The crowd was great, and the band played the hits til they hurt! The venue can be hit and miss due to the seats. Some people want to sit at a rock show. Others want to stand and dance. The artists want energy. Unlike past shows at this venue: we all stood. And it was amazing. After being cancelled twice, the third time was the charm! Thanks!

  • Best show I’ve been to!

    by L. M. on 10/25/22Rating: 5 out of 5

I’ve been to many many shows in my life and I gotta say I didn’t expect this blues traveler show to be the best one I’ve ever seen. That said, they put on an absolutely amazing show and you could tell the band was having a blast the whole time. The sound system at the Charleston music hall was phenomenal and I highly recommend seeing this band if you ever get the chance!

  • Too short

by Music al on 10/10/22Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races - Charles TownRating: 3 out of 5

The band was amazing. John Popper was incredible as always. My only reason for 3 stars is they only played for an hour...which I think was the casinos doing. Would love to see them at another venue

  • Blues Traveler at Charles Town

Unbelievably late. Blues Traveler appeared on stage an hour and a half late. Unprofessional!

Unbelievable that Blues Traveler made the audience wait an half hour before appearing on stage.

  • Great Band; Horrible Sound System

by LC on 10/7/22The Wellmont Theater - MontclairRating: 3 out of 5

This is an amazing, high energy band. The staff at the Welmont were great. Unfortunately, the sound system was just awful. The mix was so bad in the beginning that we couldn't even tell what song was being played. You could not hear the bass; just a muddy thud of low end - a crime with such a great band. Will not go to another concert here.

  • Still Have It

by Boppy on 10/7/22The Wellmont Theater - MontclairRating: 4 out of 5

The theater is old and very tight seats. The opening act was too long and sound was rough. BT didn’t start until much later than expected. That being said, John Popper and band blew us away! Drummer still amazing and having so much fun. My first time seeing them live. My husband saw them in HS in a back yard! Overall very impressed!

  • Awesome show

by Joey on 10/7/22The Wellmont Theater - MontclairRating: 5 out of 5

They played and sounded like they did 20 years ago

  • Like old times

by Trio on 10/7/22The Wellmont Theater - MontclairRating: 5 out of 5

Blues Traveler was so much fun! For some old guys they looked and sounded like they were young. The crowd was a great mix of people. My 22 year old daughter was probably one of the youngest but she was welcomed by all. The opening band Chance Emerson was also super fun! A young college band like Blues Traveler once was. Also… the venue was great and the area was nice for parking and restaurants before the show.
