    Great family day!!

by Deb on 2/21/24Charles Playhouse - Boston

Loved it! Easy process having mobile tickets scanned from Google wallet. Very interactive and the Blue Men get up close actually in the audience. Kids ages were from 20 to 8 and everyone had a great day. Use caution if parking in garage at Revere Hotel if you have a high clearance vehicle. Very convenient but actual height clearance in garage is much lower than the 8'10"noted on ParkWhiz.

How would I describe the Blueman Group....

by Tyler Dirten on 2/21/24Charles Playhouse - Boston

I brought my GF for her birthday. I had seen the show about 18 years ago, she had never seen it. When we left the theater, I looked at her and said "if I had to describe the show to someone I am at a loss as to what I would call it". The show is amazing, was 18 years ago and still is today. Super talented people, awesome visual effects, and the music they create with recycled PVC plumbing is so impressive. I can't put it in a category, it's not just music, it's not juggle or acrobatics, it's not standup comedy. The show they put on breaks down barriers of age, politics, social or financial status, even language. Someone from across the world who does not speak a word of English would totally get what they are trying to communicate. The Blueman Group is not any one form of art, however it's a little bit of all of them. If you haven't seen it, you should.

    Awesome

by Reviewer on 2/21/24Charles Playhouse - Boston

The show was awesome. Totally worth it. My only complaint would be how tight the seats and leg room are. Im over 6 feet tall and at times was very uncomfortable sitting. Otherwise again the show itself was fantastic.

    Hilarious and Exhilarating!!!!

by Bobby on 2/19/24Charles Playhouse - Boston

It was my girlfriend and i seeing them for the first time. There performance was outstanding. I thought they just played music with paint but it was more than that. They were taking people from the audience and it was hilarious the things that they did. I'm not going to tell you cause I will spoil it. You just have to see them for yourselves.

    Excellent

Wonderful performance. Very funny. Sit in the balcony if you want to avoid being dragged on stage.

    It was ok

by KJ on 2/13/24Charles Playhouse - Boston

I think the venue is great. But I think it’s way overpriced for what it is. Entertaining, yes. Worth 50-100 per ticket? No. When the blue men walked around the audience to try and find a participant, I thought I was going to fall asleep. Took way too long and was so boring.

    Feeling blue

by JM on 2/7/24Charles Playhouse - Boston

We attended the 5 pm show on 2-4-24. Good seats ….out of the line of fire (water and paint…like a Gallagher show). Two concerns: 1. On the stage. Found the content to be repetitive and ultimately predictable. The actors spent a LOT of time posturing to one another and the audience. They also took a lot of time walking through the audience to pick some “random” participants. The digital graphics were out of a 60s disco and lacked imagination and story structure/reason for being. Two highlights: the videography…including the real-time endoscopography …and the 40-yard marshmallow pitch and mouth catch. Really impressive! Overall it felt like an uninspired and tired 1970 French novelty act. 2. The audience. It often felt as though we were at a junior high talent show. Multiple people were in near-constant motion… changing seats, going to the bathroom… swapping food and drinks and SHOUTING at the performers like they were family members. Many were taking Photos and videos (VERBOTEN!!) and even some flash photos (SUPER VERBOTEN!!!). Hopefully your audience will be better behaved than ours. Or maybe this is what audiences do in 2024. All in all I’m glad we got discounted seats (2/$99… very standard) because it wouldn’t be worth a dime more.

Worth the 20 year wait for me. Fun, energetic, interactive show. Not a bad seat in the house for this show.
