About

Created by lead singer Debbie Harry and guitarist Christ Stein, the punk/new wave band Blondie became a phenomenon in the late 1970s by successfully breaking into mainstream pop culture  —thanks in part to Harry’s insouciant, sassy vocals. Millions of fans worldwide continue to embrace the band's signature vibe — an energetic, edgy sound that's still fresh and contemporary. In concert, Blondie always serves up a stylish mix of sounds ranging from pop and reggae to rap, with a dash of retro disco and electro-pop thrown in. Now in their fourth decade of performing. Blondie has released a new album that has already generated several bestselling singles as well as an international tour.

Blondie released its first European albums in the mid-1970s, but it wasn’t until 1978 that the band got international attention with the release of Parallel Lines. During the next several years, the band released a string of hits, including “Atomic,” “Call Me” and its biggest hit, the iconic “Heart of Glass.” In 1982, Deborah Harry began to pursue a successful solo career, but the band reformed in 1987. Blondie was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2006, the year of its 30th anniversary. That same year, it released a best-of album, Sound & Vision, followed by Panic of Girls in 2009. The band's 10th album Ghosts of Download will be released in January 2014. The new album has already garnered a popular single, “A Rose by Any Name,” and enthusiastic ticket holders got the opportunity to hear several of the band's newest singles during Blondie’s European tour in 2013. Recently, Debbie Harry delighted her millions of fans by announcing that the band will do a promotional tour for the new album in 2014 — although concert dates have not yet been announced.

    I enjoyed the Blondie concert.

    by Catherine S. on 8/13/23

I saw Blondie at the Tulalip Amphitheater. Debbie Harry still sounds great. They played the singles from their studio albums. Also played songs from their early career performed at the CBGB, New York. I also liked her story about her honey bee hobby.

    Phenomenal. Mind Blown.

    by blgavin on 8/13/23

The absolute best concert I've ever been to. The amphitheater was first class; the grass, seating wide enough to walk through w/o making people mad, the most amazing sound system evah, and Debbie WAS RIGHT THERE. As in so close I could take really good pictures and freak out! Other concert go-ers were so cool, no weirdness. I will TOTALLY go to Tualip again for concerts!! Thanks Ticketmaster for facilitating my BLONDIE Obsession!!!

Debbie Harry still has it. Her band is made up with incredible musicians. The Tulalip Amphitheater is a beautiful outdoor venue. My wife and enjoyed the food and a drink as well. We had a fabulous evening.

    DECADES OF DEBBIE!

    by TRET on 7/15/23

I’ve seen Debbie and her boys dozens and dozens of times since 1976…that’s 47 years of great concerts from small NYC nightclub performances to huge arenas like MSqG too! She still commands the stage w her talents, beauty and joyfulness of performing. Met her first time in 1980. Chris invited me to a photo opening of his too. I’ve gone backstage so many numerous times and once shared a NYCab w her after a night at Jackie60/Mother. She’s a sweetheart who really respects her fans. She used to live nearby so I’d see in our hood often…bringing her dog to the vet, at the RiteAid, walking down the block, at the clubs, etc… I’m a very lucky fan!

    20 years too late

by Scooter on 3/20/23Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

No disrespect to the Awesome musical group of Blondie. It’s my fault I waited so long to see them for the first time. It’s like watching one of your favorite sports stars at the back end of their career and not recognizing who they are.

Blondie on all cylinders! Wow! Great show! I mean, Wow!! We were impressed. Expected a good performance but the band was better than good. Great set, great sound, great visuals. Debbie Harry really is a Rock Legend. She commanded the crowd for an hour and a half and sounded fantastic! We left wanting more. Really impressive! Had a blast!

At 77 She still Got it

by David FF on 3/20/23Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

Hard to believe that Debbie Harry is 77 years old. She still looks and sounds amazing. Show lasted about 90 minutes. She was clearly having a great time. Sang all the hits and some new stuff as well. We had a blast.

    Good musician. Bad sound

by Rockman on 3/19/23Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

Blondie is definitely past her prime. Not bad for A 77 yo but not the same as in her day. Musicians were good but the sound in the venue was awful. Sounded like the band was playing in a high school gymnasium.

    Good times

by C. M. on 3/19/23Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

Great to hear the old hits and of course see Deborah Harry on the stage. It had been years since I saw the band perform together. It was well worth it.

Lighting at the show beyond horrible

by Ifishmo on 3/19/23Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

Broward Center for the Performing Arts you or Blondie should be ashamed of that lighting for the show tonight!! Lighting up the audience like we were onstage. Blinding lights, band back-lit and could not see Blondie or the band! Most Horrible experience in 49 years of concerts. Saving grace Blondie still rocks and the sound was great!! Wish i could add pictures
