About
Blackberry Smoke on Tour
Though they've had their biggest success in the country market, the guys in Blackberry Smoke are rock 'n' rollers at heart. When they hit the concert stage, that becomes immediately apparent, but of course, so does the twangy side of their sound. Ultimately, what comes across is a roots-rocking blend that incorporates the influences of classic Southern rock, '70s/'80s heartland rockers and yes, a dash of modern country. And whether they're delivering a chugging good-time tune like "Rock and Roll Again" or a reflective ballad like "Let Me Down Easy," what comes through the loudest is the band's authenticity. These ol' boys are the real deal, playing it their own way with no nonsense and no rock-star moves. And since they do exactly what they feel, don't be surprised if that extends to covers of songs by their favorite artists such as Little Feat, The Grateful Dead or Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
Blackberry Smoke in Concert
Blackberry Smoke has always done things their own way, rising to stardom by building an audience from the ground up, remaining resolutely independent and staying true to their roots. The band formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2000, with singer/guitarist Charlie Starr, guitarist Paul Jackson, and brothers Richard and Brit Turner on bass and drums, respectively, and that lineup remained intact into their breakthrough and beyond, adding keyboardist Brandon Still in 2009. They released their debut album, Bad Luck Ain't No Crime, in 2003, but it wasn't until their third album, 2012's The Whippoorwill, that Blackberry Smoke started achieving major commercial traction. Their next record, 2015's Holding All the Roses, reached No. 1 on the country charts as well as No. 29 on the pop tally, underscoring the band's pan-genre appeal. Their homegrown blend of Southern rock and country has remained authentic and untainted through it all.

Great show, very polished performers
by PBLove on 11/25/14Alabama Theatre - BirminghamRating: 4 out of 5Great show, very polished performers. Good Crowd! We were in the balcony - the sound was muffled - the vocals were hard to understand. Not sure if this was the sound system, or an effect of where we were sitting. The lights on the stage were pointed directly at us - which was distracting. Otherwise, it was a good view.

Smoke One!!
by JoeDirtCar on 11/25/14Alabama Theatre - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5Blackberry Smoke put on another solid performance. Anyone that has seen this band knows what to expect and they always deliver. Great songs played by real musicians with a passion for their craft. They touched on all previous albums playing some older songs that I had not heard them play before. They hit all areas with warm acoustic songs, uptempo country/rock songs as well as just blowing the doors off with good hard rock riffs. If you are on the fence about seeing this band, do yourself a favor and go see them live. You will not be disappointed.
GREAT BAND, AWESOME VENUE!
by HowlingHeath on 11/25/14Alabama Theatre - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5This was a perfect combination of music, band, and venue. My third time to see Blackberry Smoke, and once again, I was not disappointed. This band is a family favorite for my wife, our four kids, and myself.

Modern Day Skynyrd
by SmokeSkynyrdFan on 11/11/14Blue Bird - BloomingtonRating: 5 out of 5Charlie Starr is the second coming of Ronnie Van Zant. These guys are amazing, and my favorite modern day rock act. Well arranged songs, great lyrcis; and even better live in concert. Charlie sings with a smile on his face, and it comes through to his audience. I am proud to say I was a fan before they hit the main stream!

Great show. Not much banter with the audience between songs, but the band was tight (In a very good way) and the music was awesome. Looking forward to the new album in February.

Great artists; can't get the music out of my head!
by CathyJohn on 9/15/14Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton BeachRating: 5 out of 5Great venue to see Blackberry Smoke. Saw them perform in August at the Paramount in Huntington NY. Best thing my husband and I did was travel up to New Hampshire to see them in concert again. Wish they would play locally by me... I would be at all the shows. Opening band was a great pick to get the audience going. One great night show. Best I have seen in awhile.
Blackberry Smoke Rises above the Rest
by Crusin48 on 9/14/14Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton BeachRating: 5 out of 5It was a great night for some southern rock and roll at the Hampton Beach Casino and Blackberry Smoke delivered. I saw these guys for the 1st time last year at Meadowbrook in Gilford NH and they knocked it out of the park then. The performance in Hampton was much more intimate and not a bad seat in the house. Hope the Smoke comes back again soon or at least close enough to drive to. Love these guys !!!

Thank you, Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom for booking this band! We want them back!
