About

Black Label Society are the ongoing musical creation of infamous guitarist Zakk Wylde, who was plucked from obscurity by Ozzy Osbourne in 1987 and soon became a household name among heavy metal enthusiasts. Black Label Society were formed in 1998 after Wylde split from Ozzy and company. They recently released Unblackened, a live CD/DVD featuring a batch of stripped-down versions of their songs. The CD contains six bonus tracks, including covers of "Ain't No Sunshine" by Bill Withers and "A Song For You" by Leon Russell. Concerts give ticket holders plenty of bang for their buck. The band is a world-class live act, dishing out powerful sets of blues-based rock and metal songs fueled by Wylde's unmistakable guitar work and vocals. The band's recent unplugged-style concert performances may hint to a mellower approach in the future.

By the time Wylde embarked upon and struck out on his own solo career, he was a well-established name in the rock community. This eventually allowed him to achieve stand-alone success with the formation of Black Label Society and the debut album, Sonic Brew. Eight more albums, along with subsequent tours, were to follow. Their most popular studio release was Order Of The Black, which hit shelves in August 2010 and reached No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The band has another studio album that is set for release sometime in 2014. Whether it will rediscover the band's hard rocking roots or continue in the mellower vein is a mystery. Based on the band's history, it's anyone's guess.

Thanks for having me. The show was awesome. All bands had some serious talent and a good time was had by all. After the show I was able two meet one of the Live Nations executives at a private magic show at the venue after the event. It was outstanding!

Im handicapped and did get a seat, but it was far stage left. People were cramming 3 into spaces meant for 2. I ended up scrunched into a corner anf physically took a beating by being in the corner. We left befor BLS was about 3/4 of the way through their set. I physically just couldnt take anymore.

They over sold tickets and there were so many people I couldn’t see anything. We stayed for the opener but bc we couldn’t see anything or get close enough to a railing we left before black label society.

  • An excellent show.

tickets were easy to access on the phone for scanning. HOB was very accommidating for my wife's disability. I have seen Zakk several times with BLS and also Ozzy. Never a disapointment.

  • Black Label is a full on BEAST!

I had never seen Black Stone Cherry and from what I had heard of them, I was scratching my head wondering how they got on this tour. Well, all answers were resolved; I saw what BLS must have seen and they were a great opener for the almighty BLS. I was surprised by the amount of lead work being played by Dario but that just goes to show BLS is a band FIRST, and not a Zakk solo project. My only negative is to say that the show seemed to be pushing the Wylde Audio brand of guitars. I think I saw most every model with a bunch of their different finishes. Ive played these guitars in the past and they sound FABULOUS, but you can't buy them with a more "normal" neck curve/dimensions....otherwise I would have bought 20 of them by now. This was a fabulous show and money well spent. Jared James Nichols is the new Ted Nugent. He breathes fire!

The dinner before the show was AMAZING! The music hall was clean, drinks were good, and the show was EXCELLENT! If I had a complaint it would be that there is some confusion on the priority entrance. Other than just figuring out what line to be in all was great!

BLS 2022 is a powerhouse of true metal and musicianship! I have been following Zakk Wylde since his debut with Ozzy in 1987 or so and I have remained a loyal fan. Zakk is such a sincere, humble, and a nice person you would want to be your friend. The band follows suit with their leader but should he get out of hand Mongoose will ground him. Should you be lucky enough to get a meet and greet (do it you wont regret it) he grabs you and gives you a hug like your part of the family and introduces you to his band for each and every person! The show is incredible lots of energy and we (audience) give him our response a giant hell yeah! with out fists in the air! I will be waiting for next time he tours no matter who it is with, Ozzy, his band Zakk Sabbath, or BLS. \m/

  • It’s BLS. ZAKK can do no wrong

by ZAKK Wylde on 5/3/22House of Blues San Diego - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

The acoustics for the venue were bad. HOB was not a clean venue

  • Sadly Never Got to Go to the Show

    by Aprelle on 4/18/22Rialto Theatre-Tucson - TucsonRating: 1 out of 5

Sadly I was unable to go to the show. The night of the show I was walking to the venue and tripped breaking my arm. I spent the night in the emergency room instead of enjoying the BLS show.
