Fortunately for me, unfortunately for black Joe Lewis and the honeybears, I got to see them in a small club instead of on the big stage. That being said, this maybe the best show I've been to. Just this year I've seen the Black Keys, Rodger Waters and the Wall, and Modest Mouse so that is saying something. Black Joe was very interactive with the crowd and I would recommend this show to anyone.
It was a pleasant surprise, It was way more upbeat than I expected and even though it started kind of slow, after 20 minutes it was high energy. Everyone got into it and Black Joe really seemed to appreciate the crowd. After it was over we all demanded an encore and he didn't let us down with a 30 minute jam session, harmonica, playing with his tongue, and just overall fantastic energy.
The show was extremely enjoyable. Good crowd. Fun dancing. Great set list. I enjoyed the show a lot. The venue could have been a little bigger and drinks could have been cheaper.
Really awesome! Lively band and always great to hear blues in NYC. Also the venue was great, no waiting at the bar and small enough to get close to the stage...although there wasnt a bad seat in the house!
I danced my butt off and was taken straight to the heart of BOOTY CITY. Every show should be this fun--this band owns.

Great show! The crowd was totally engaged and had alot of energy. I would definitely recommend to others if you are looking for a cool, upbeat show.
