Highly satisfying and enthusiastic production
by dprusino on 10/2/12Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloWonderful show, wonderful cast, very tight production. The story was both emotional and comedic. This was my second Billy show. Kylend Hetherington was exceptional as a dancer, singer, and actor. The Angry Dance was emotionally captivating, the Swan Lake dream dance was mesmerizing, the Electricity dance was mature and triumphant. Mr. Elliot was wonderfully callous and stubborn until the moment of realization, Mrs. Wilkinson was brash yet supportive as a second mother, Grandma was comedic with her crazy attitude yet inwardly strong, and the brother was a wonderfully stormy unionist provocateur. The Billy goodbye scenes were appropriately anticipatory and heartfelt. The only minor disappointment was with the Billy jump off the piano rather than the Billy back flip off the piano I saw by Ty Forhan in Rochester.
