Bill Engvall is an American comedian known for his Southern drawl, perfect timing and hilarious commentary on the challenges of daily life. Fans can expect plenty of laugh-out-loud moments at Bill Engvall's live shows, and he's a fan favorite for managing to come up with original, relatable routines while still keeping everything family friendly. Bill Engvall's tours include (current) 2017 Just Sell Him for Parts Tour, 2012 Them Idiots: Whirled Tour Tour, 2009 Ages and Confused Tour, 2007 15° Off Cool Tour and the original 1996 Here's Your Sign Tour. The album version of Here's Your Sign was certified U.S. platinum. Bill Engvall Background Bill Engvall was born William Ray Engvall Jr. on July 27, 1957, in Galveston, Texas. He stayed in the Lone Star State all through high school and went to college in Georgetown, Texas at Southwestern University. He had originally planned on getting a degree in education but ended up working as a DJ in Dallas. It was this job, which led him to try amateur stand-up nights that launched the beginnings of his comedy career. Engvall made the long-distance move to California in 1990 so he could seriously pursue a career in stand-up, and his first major break was co-hosting A Pair of Jokers with Rosie O'Donnell. He also made short appearances on The Golden Girls, The Tonight Show, An Evening at The Improv and The Late Show with David Letterman. By 1996, he had a contract with Warner Bros. and started his series of comedy albums, the first of which was title Here's Your Sign. This went on to become his signature line and a major part of all of his standup routines. He gained widespread notoriety as part of the 2000 Blue Collar Comedy Tour, which included big-name comedians Jeff Foxworthy, Ron White and Larry the Cable Guy. He went on to participate in the tour for six years, as well as star in three related films, the Blue Collar TV show and a satellite radio show. Fans can follow him on Twitter @billengvall

  • A Great Return to the Stage!

by BF on 2/3/25Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino Event Center - Niagara FallsRating: 5 out of 5

Driving through a Buffalo snowstorm to get there was not fun, but it sure was worth it! Bill was a little shaky at first (only his second live show since coming out of retirement), until he got his stage legs under him and then he was off and running! People are complaining about "no new material"- well, his old material is STILL hilarious and we were happy he included some. Welcome back "Big Billy"!

  • Great Comedian

We loved the show. We had a great time and laughed so hard I was crying. Bill Engvall is one of the best comedians that I will pay money to see. Had a great time and the venue was a nice place as well.

  • Guaranteed to make you laugh out loud!!

I'm so glad I had the chance to see Bill Engvall in person! He is down to earth and makes you feel like you're just sitting around with a friend while he's just getting stuff on his chest! I have watched Bill in the Jeff Foxworthy tv show, his own tv show, Blue Collar shows and Last Man Standing. Needless to say I'm a big fan! And I was so bummed to hear he had retired I just couldn't watch his video of his last show! But when I heard he was coming out of retirement, I was so excited and waiting for the tickets to go on sale for this show. There was no way I was going to miss this opportunity to see him! So I bought our tickets immediately and was ecstatic that the venue was just 11 miles away. As he said "Billy is back"! And Bill didn't miss a beat in this show, it was like he never left, he was just an funny and entertaining as always! All of the audience seemed to think so, in his clean cut slightly twisted sense of humor he talks about things in everyday life that everyone can relate to. And whether his stories are true or not are they are just down right funny! So I highly recommend seeing Bill Engvall, because for that 90 minute show you'll forget all your troubles and you'll be sorry when it's over. Because you'll leave there talking and laughing among yourselves as you're reliving some of his stories. I would've gone to see him again but he was only here for one night. He's only doing a few shows here and there so if you get the chance go see him, do it! You won't be sorry, and if you don't well... Here's Your Sign!!!

  • Great show! Fun night!

by Cary on 1/14/25The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 5 out of 5

Our second time seeing Mr Engvall, the last shortly before his “retirement!” He apologized in advance to the audience that this was his first show since and that he really missed being on stage. He had a great show and was clearly enjoying the very positive feedback from the audience! Great show! Fun night!

  • First show in 2 years for bill post retirement

by Gabi on 1/14/25The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 4 out of 5

A little shaky at the beginning and seemed nervous but slowly became into his own with her personality and stories. Very sweet guy and funny clean jokes

  • Funny as expected

by PC on 1/14/25The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 4 out of 5

Bill was a great and funny storyteller as expected. I would definitely see him again. The only thing I expected there would be more new material since he was coming out of retirement. 90% of it was older stuff.

  • Funniest Ever

by Dee on 1/14/25The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 5 out of 5

I love to watch Bill Engvall. His comedy is relatable and he doesn’t have to cuss and use the F-bomb to be funny.

  • Bill Engvall should never retire! Great Show!

by Honey on 1/14/25The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 5 out of 5

I have always loved Bill Engvall and his comedy. It is so relatable. Based on this being his first show back in 2 years he has NOT missed a step. He was born to do this, and I am so happy he made us his first show back. Anyone thinking of seeing a show I highly recommend, and the Venue was terrific as this was our first time seeing a show at the Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort.

  • Very funny!

by Meehan on 1/14/25The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I greatly enjoyed seeing Bill Engvall return to the stage! I had assumed that it would be new content, different from his last Netflix special, but it was close to the same. Nevertheless, it was still an enjoyable experience and the whole audience loved him.

  • Comedian

My husband and I enjoyed the show. Bill was very funny as we had never seen him before. We are glad we went and had a good time.

  • Enjoyed the show.

by GH on 1/14/25The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 4 out of 5

Show: classic Bill, with some new content as well as the familiar material that has been shared on YouTube. The advantage of attending the show is that you get the connection between the “bits”, so it felt much more cohesive than just watching the clips on video. Venue: I did not enjoy having to walk thru the smoke-filled casino to get into the actual show venue, (yes, I know I’ve been spoiled by not having to be exposed to cigarette smoke in public places any more). As I’ve gotten older I’ve become more sensitive, so ended up with a sore throat after the show. The show venue itself was very nice, with good acoustics and large screens for those of us up in the nosebleed seats, lol.

  • Great show!

by Mastiffmommy on 1/14/25The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 5 out of 5

We love the show. Bill was as funny and engaging as ever. So glad he is back. We have missed his humor, and views on life. For his first show back after retirement, he has not lost a step!! The Venue is a wonderful place to see the show. No bad seats!!

  • Good. Not great.

by PartsPeddler on 1/14/25The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 4 out of 5

Much like musical acts, when comedians continue past their prime, it shows. Bill was much funnier years ago. Not to say he isn't funny now, but he's definitely lost a lot. It's a good show. Not great.

  • Funny, but very little new material.

by Old Enough to Know Better on 1/14/25The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 4 out of 5

The venue is great! Great, not a bad seat in the house! Food and drink are expensive, but about what you would expect at an event venue this day and age. The show was very funny, we enjoyed it very much. If I have one criticism, it's that there was very little new material. Most of it is rehashed from older tours.

  • Bill Engvall

I am glad Bill came out of retirement! Lot's of great full belly laughs provided by his performance.

  • Go back on tour, PLEASE!!

by Palm Harbor Fan on 2/11/24Rating: 5 out of 5

I want to say I had a great time at your show at the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa Florida. I never laughed so hard and was the first time my husband attended your show and he loved it as well. We hope next time that you go on tour you will stop by in our neck of the woods, perhaps at Ruth Eckard Hall, where I know you would sell out the arena in no time. thanks for making us all laugh we need it nowadays that's for sure
