The album version of Here's Your Sign was certified U.S. platinum. Bill Engvall Background Bill Engvall was born William Ray Engvall Jr. on July 27, 1957, in Galveston, Texas. He stayed in the Lone Star State all through high school and went to college in Georgetown, Texas at Southwestern University. He had originally planned on getting a degree in education but ended up working as a DJ in Dallas. It was this job, which led him to try amateur stand-up nights that launched the beginnings of his comedy career. Engvall made the long-distance move to California in 1990 so he could seriously pursue a career in stand-up, and his first major break was co-hosting A Pair of Jokers with Rosie O'Donnell. He also made short appearances on The Golden Girls, The Tonight Show, An Evening at The Improv and The Late Show with David Letterman. By 1996, he had a contract with Warner Bros. and started his series of comedy albums, the first of which was title Here's Your Sign. This went on to become his signature line and a major part of all of his standup routines. He gained widespread notoriety as part of the 2000 Blue Collar Comedy Tour, which included big-name comedians Jeff Foxworthy, Ron White and Larry the Cable Guy. He went on to participate in the tour for six years, as well as star in three related films, the Blue Collar TV show and a satellite radio show. Fans can follow him on Twitter @billengvall

Bill Engval has a long career as a comedian, he's very good at it. The jokes along with his facial expressions made the show very funny and entertaining. Some jokes were new some were old but he still manages to make the audience laugh, a lot! I hope he stays out of retirement for a long time.

  • Oh dear . . .

by Toby on 11/5/25Talking Stick Resort - ScottsdaleRating: 3 out of 5

Bill Engvall is a charming, friendly, engaging and modest comedian - a truly funny guy. The venue, however s***s. You get to sit on little steel chairs on a flat "ballroom"floor and if you can't see him over the heads of the people in front of you, just watch a big screen (just like you would at home), but with bad audio including feedback howls and volume far too high. As usual, the place is run by people who give the impression that they wish they weren't there and missed the training session. Crowd control is bad - I would hate to be there if a fire broke out.

  • Great show well worth the price!

Bill Engvall was a delight to watch. One of the few comedians around that is not vulgar. He tells relatable stories that are so funny that tears rolls down your face. Have been a fan of his for years!!

  • Best Un-retirement Ever

by Flo on 9/9/25Treasure Island Resort & Casino - WelchRating: 5 out of 5

Bill came out of retirement to make us laugh until our sides hurt. Getting tickets to see Bill was an impulse buy when I was going to Minnesota for something else. It was an excellent impulse. He looks good and is absolutely hilarious. I enjoyed this show more than anything I've seen him do before. If coming out of retirement looks this good, I may have to consider it myself. Loved you Bill Engvall! Keep up the amazing hilarity.

  • Bill Engvall is back and funny as ever!

by East Side Boy on 9/8/25Treasure Island Resort & Casino - WelchRating: 4 out of 5

Show was great, however seating was unbelievable tight. Chairs in Treasure Island Event Center were narrow and set up edge to edge. We had paid for the best seats available. The poor lady ahead of us was unable to even sit back in her chair the other persons next to her were partially in her seat and she had to lean forward the entire show. We had a similar issue on one side of our seats. Show was not sold out, no real need to have things set up that tight. The seating definitely took away from the experience.

  • Awesome!

We were bummed when Bill Engvall retired a couple of years ago, but were so delighted to hear retirement wasn't his cup of tea. We've been big fans of his comedy shows for years and jumped at the chance to see him live in his "come back"performance. He was as witty and funny as ever. His humor is so relatable and presented so well that you feel like you're there as it happens. Myself and several others in the audience were wiping our eyes because we were laughing so hard. We hope he continues with his un-retirement tour and look forward to seeing him perform again.

  • Great show

by SJB on 2/10/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Bill Engvall did not disappoint. We laughed the whole time because we could relate with his stories. I felt sorry for him that he was just getting over being sick. We drove 4+ hrs to go see him at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino. We fortunately had good seats to watch the show (Sec. 100 Row 8--middle of whole event) but the seats themselves were kind of uncomfortable as well as close and all on one level so if a tall person sat in front of you, you would have a hard time seeing him which for us wasn't the case. Parking for the event was good (parking garage instead of out in the open--snowing). Staff was great when asking for help. Would definitely go see him again especially if he was closer to where we live!

  • Great guy

  • Bill was awesome - 5 star

by Tom on 2/3/25Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino Event Center - Niagara FallsRating: 4 out of 5

Bill exceeded expectations! This was his second show after returning, and he was "On"from start to finish. What a GREAT show. This was by no means, "phoned in". We loved the personal feel that he provided with the audience. Not all performers know how to do that. Now for the 4 star rating. The venue was so-so. The seats were all one level looking up to a stage. A few tall people in the immediate rows in front of your seat, blocked clear vision of the stage. The seats were interlocking chairs (no arm rests) kinda close together. Larger folks needed a bit more space than what this type of chair provided. This made for some uncomfortable crowding with the unknown guests next to you. Any other issue (good/bad) about this event, is common with venues using a multipurpose ballroom. Knowing all this, would I attend another show here in the future? Yes.
