Bill Engvall is an American comedian known for his Southern drawl, perfect timing and hilarious commentary on the challenges of daily life. Fans can expect plenty of laugh-out-loud moments at Bill Engvall's live shows, and he's a fan favorite for managing to come up with original, relatable routines while still keeping everything family friendly. Bill Engvall's tours include (current) 2017 Just Sell Him for Parts Tour, 2012 Them Idiots: Whirled Tour Tour, 2009 Ages and Confused Tour, 2007 15° Off Cool Tour and the original 1996 Here's Your Sign Tour. The album version of Here's Your Sign was certified U.S. platinum. Bill Engvall Background Bill Engvall was born William Ray Engvall Jr. on July 27, 1957, in Galveston, Texas. He stayed in the Lone Star State all through high school and went to college in Georgetown, Texas at Southwestern University. He had originally planned on getting a degree in education but ended up working as a DJ in Dallas. It was this job, which led him to try amateur stand-up nights that launched the beginnings of his comedy career. Engvall made the long-distance move to California in 1990 so he could seriously pursue a career in stand-up, and his first major break was co-hosting A Pair of Jokers with Rosie O'Donnell. He also made short appearances on The Golden Girls, The Tonight Show, An Evening at The Improv and The Late Show with David Letterman. By 1996, he had a contract with Warner Bros. and started his series of comedy albums, the first of which was title Here's Your Sign. This went on to become his signature line and a major part of all of his standup routines. He gained widespread notoriety as part of the 2000 Blue Collar Comedy Tour, which included big-name comedians Jeff Foxworthy, Ron White and Larry the Cable Guy. He went on to participate in the tour for six years, as well as star in three related films, the Blue Collar TV show and a satellite radio show. Fans can follow him on Twitter @billengvall

  • The show was great!!!!!

The show was great. I havent laughed that much in a very long time. It shows that a show doesnt have to be dirty or have swear words every other second to be funny!! I loved it!!

  • Bill Engvall - guaranteed LOL (Lots of Laughs!!)

This show was hysterical!! The man is geniunely talented - and extremely funny! We were unsure of what to expect as his talent tends to be overshadowed by others in the Blue Collar Comedy Crew - Bill has a self-admitted twisted way of looking at life that gives us all the ability to laugh at him (and ourselves!!). Bill - Thank you for an awesome evening!! The only disappiontment to the night was the venue - the seats were padded 'conference' chairs. Uncomforable & too closely spaced. You'd think they would provide better seating (literally) for the price!!

  • too funny

I went with my 15 year old son and was very pleased that we laughed the entire show and also did it without me being uncomfortable with the language. Very tasteful comedy.

Bill Engvall was as funny as we expected him to be. He talked about all new material that we have never heard of before. What a great down-to-earth guy!

  • Bill Engvall Was Flawless

by Yips on 8/22/09The Seneca Niagara Events Center at Seneca Niagara Casino - Niagara FallsRating: 5 out of 5

First of all, he came on stage exactly at 8 PM. Most performers are almost always late. Also, he didn't have some unknown, boring act open for him which was nice. With the exception of his world famous "Here's your sign" bit, all of his material was brand new and he saved "Here's your sign" for the very end and even all of that was brand new. He proved, just like Bill Cosby, that you don't need profanity to be funny. He only used 1 dirty word through the entire show. Anyone could take their kids to see Bill without having to worry about a dirty show. If it was a movie, I'd give it a PG rating, and even that's being extreme. He played for about an hour and a half and had everybody rolling the entire time. All his material was stuff you could relate to, especially if you were married. I would definitely see him again. The only bad part was the price which was pretty expensive.

  • Bill Engvall - Seneca Niagara Casino

by lemondfan86 on 8/22/09The Seneca Niagara Events Center at Seneca Niagara Casino - Niagara FallsRating: 4 out of 5

Overall the show was very good. He started out kind of slow, but the laughs picked up as the show went along. He told a lot of stories about his family life, especially his relationship with his wife, things we can all relate to. We had seen Larry the Cable Guy earlier this year and he put on a little better show. Bill was on stage for about an hour and twenty minutes, which would have been fine it he'd had an opening act. We were actually surprised he didn't have an opening act. Overall a very good show and I would highly recommend seeing him perform.

Bill Engvall put on an incredible show. I and the rest of the audience was laughing throughout the entire 1 1/2 hour show. At one point my sister said her sides hurt from laughing so much. Would definately recommend his show and will probably see it again when he comes back.

The theater seating was uncomfortable, but his show was great and our rolling laughter made it all worthwhile.

This was definitely worth going to. He gave a great show and was very funny without using profanity. It was a refreshing change from so many comedians who think that you have to use foul language to be funny. Bill's show was on his own experiences that everyone could relate to. Highly recommend.

Bill Engvall was great. I would go and see him again in a heart beat. However I felt the seating at the Star of the Desert Arena was very tight. If you are a little over weight the seats can be uncomfortable. As far as being able to see the stage was great.
