BIG WRECK IN CONCERT:

Beloved hard rockers Big Wreck have been bringing the ruckus since 1994, with no signs of slowing down. The band possesses a dynamic sound that can shift from hard rock to anthemic post-grunge all while still staying true to their unique style. At their live shows the band tears through popular tunes like "The Oaf (My Luck Is Wasted)" and the No. 1 smash hit "Albatross" alongside material from 2014's Ghosts with reckless abandon. With 20 years of touring experience under their belt, Big Wreck knows how to get ticket buyers headbanging at their rocking live sets.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Boston-based rock outfit Big Wreck formed in 1994 after the members met at the Berklee College of Music. They started to jam together and perform local shows near campus, eventually attracting attention from execs at Atlantic Records. They signed with the label and released their 1997 debut In Loving Memory Of..., which featured three Top 10 hits on the Canadian Alternative chart and a Top 10 on the US Mainstream Rock chart. Their widespread popularity throughout the Great White North -- where lead singer Ian Thornley grew up -- spawned several headlining tours in support of their breakout album. They followed up with 2001's The Pleasure and the Greed -- a popular album that featured three radio-friendly hits and continued to earn the band major acclaim. Since then they've released two more Top 10 albums including 2014's Ghosts and have proven themselves as mainstays within the rock genre. Fans can experience Big Wreck’s hit-filled catalog on full display whenever they take the stage on their high-octane tours.

I love that soooong .. perfect sound! Tight flawless performance. Commodore is best place for music but I will never buy a drink or food item as they went cashless . Cash is king . Also I can't stand digital tickets they create anxiety if device fails youre outside in the cold listening to "that soooong.". paper tickets and paper cash will always rule as superior. Big Wreck 10/10... Commodore now 5/10

Blown Wide Open (and blown away!!)

by Vanessa on 11/17/23FirstOntario Concert Hall - Hamilton

The show was incredible. We missed Daniel Greaves opening, but was thrilled to see him come out during Big Wrecks set and join for a song. Love him Texas King were phenomenal - such great energy, and a perfect act to join this tour. Hadn't heard of them prior, but am a fan as of this show! Big Wreck. What can I say? They "wrecked"me. I cried. I danced. I sang. The crowd energy was strong, and the band was GIVING. Ian Thornley was a little under the weather, but didn't let that stop him from performing the hell out of their songs. Love First Ontario Concert Hall (you'll always be Hamilton Place to us) - sound is phenomenal and we had fantastic seats. Great show!!!

    The best band

by Bruna on 11/13/23LONDON MUSIC HALL - LONDON

I am a Brazilian and I moved to Canada 7 years ago. I started to learn about Canadian culture and listen to new Canadian musicians and local bands, that is how we got to know Big Wreck and getting in loved with their songs. They became our favorite band. They are amazing and this show in particular was very special. I am looking forward for more opportunities to come and watch my favorite band.

    We were “Blown Wide Open”

by Orangutan on 11/12/23FirstOntario Concert Hall - Hamilton

All 3 performances were great. The sound system was amazing and as usual, who doesn’t like to listen to Ian Thornley, as he does various solo’s with several guitars. My favourite part of the show.

    A night to remember!

    by Audrey Lopez on 7/6/23

We are from KCMO and drove to STL to see Big Wreck. When we bought the tickets we looked at the VIP package but the video said there would be no meeting the band because of COVID worries. When we got there they said there WAS a meet and greet and my guy was deflated. :( We throughly enjoyed the concert. I was jumping up and down a lot. 😁 After the concert we started to head to our car and to our extreme delight! saw the lead singer Ian Thornley, out back talking to a few fans. We went over to met him and we three chatted. My guy said he was really inspired by his music. Ian said he felt tearful and touched. He said he saw me jumping up and down in the crowd! I was so flattered that he noticed me! Ian is a really kind and down to earth person. Their music is rock with some blue grass. I think everyone needs to check them out or at least listen to their top five on Spotify! I’m so happy we got to meet you Ian!!

    Big Wreck at The Underground

by Scott Flair Jr on 6/24/23The Underground - Charlotte

Incredibly great band, sound was awesome, venue was clean and the staff was very helpful. The only complaint was the high prices on drinks, but that is the world we live in nowadays.

    Great Show in Chicago

    by MGW on 6/22/23

This was my 2nd time seeing Big Wreck in Chicago. The first show was 5 years ago and it was a sell out. Unfortunately this Tuesday night show was not promoted properly which resulted in a low turnout. Big Wreck did not disappoint though. Ian Thornley is an absolute guitar god and has a killer voice. The band was polished and tight as ever. The sound was superb. My crew loved the band and we are all looking forward to the next show. Please come back to the Chicago area soon - preferably the NW suburbs.

    Big Wreck St Andrew’s

by BuddyBob on 6/18/23Saint Andrew's Hall - Detroit

Great show! Intimate show. Perfect amount of people. Ian Thornley and his band put on a great performance. We upgraded our tickets to the balcony which was fantastic. The upgrade cost more than the tickets! But it was worth it as we were side stage from above. St Andrew’s is an iconic venue in Detroit. Highly recommended. Staff was very friendly and organized.

    Big Wreck Show

by G on 6/17/23House of Blues Cleveland - Cleveland

A fantastic show by one of the most underrated bands of the last twenty five years. Performed everything I wanted to hear flawlessly. Opening act was a poor choice though. Bland and mismatched in every way.
