BIG WRECK IN CONCERT:

Beloved hard rockers Big Wreck have been bringing the ruckus since 1994, with no signs of slowing down. The band possesses a dynamic sound that can shift from hard rock to anthemic post-grunge all while still staying true to their unique style. At their live shows the band tears through popular tunes like "The Oaf (My Luck Is Wasted)" and the No. 1 smash hit "Albatross" alongside material from 2014's Ghosts with reckless abandon. With 20 years of touring experience under their belt, Big Wreck knows how to get ticket buyers headbanging at their rocking live sets.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Boston-based rock outfit Big Wreck formed in 1994 after the members met at the Berklee College of Music. They started to jam together and perform local shows near campus, eventually attracting attention from execs at Atlantic Records. They signed with the label and released their 1997 debut In Loving Memory Of..., which featured three Top 10 hits on the Canadian Alternative chart and a Top 10 on the US Mainstream Rock chart. Their widespread popularity throughout the Great White North -- where lead singer Ian Thornley grew up -- spawned several headlining tours in support of their breakout album. They followed up with 2001's The Pleasure and the Greed -- a popular album that featured three radio-friendly hits and continued to earn the band major acclaim. Since then they've released two more Top 10 albums including 2014's Ghosts and have proven themselves as mainstays within the rock genre. Fans can experience Big Wreck’s hit-filled catalog on full display whenever they take the stage on their high-octane tours.

    Big Wreck HOB CLE

by JJ Lindley on 6/17/23House of Blues Cleveland - Cleveland

Band was great. No complaints about the performance. But I avoid House of Blues whenever possible. Sound always lacks clarity and borders on too loud. The room is also spotty. Some areas sound a bit better than others. And $14 for Miller Lite. With others higher. Wow. Total insanity. 2 drinks cost the same as admission! Absurb. Hope to not have any more bands I like book there.

great rock band, but let down for followers

by sim on 6/11/23The Underground - Charlotte

Band was good but made mistakes throughout the set and didn't have the energy I thought they would.

    Must see live

by Michael t on 6/11/23The Underground - Charlotte

Incredibly good live. I waited for over two decades to finally see them, and I’m so glad I did. They played a long full set, extremely tight. Vocal harmonies on point. Replicating the solos exactly as recorded or better. Fun interplay between bass and Ian. Merch was a bit pricey but whatever. Don’t love the underground, opener was way too loud, but this was such a good concert I am a happy clam.

    Big Wreck

by Raz on 6/11/23The Underground - Charlotte

Ian and company brought the receipts! Sound mixer could’ve done a much better job, but this band is amazing, nevertheless! Would see them again and again.

Big Wreck - At the Gramercy in NYC

by Paulie D on 6/10/23Gramercy Theatre - New York

Great Venue, Staff was excellent. Big Wreck led by front man and lead guitarist Ian Thornley, guitarist Chris Caddell, bassist Dave McMillan, and drummer Sekou Lumumba played through a terrific set of past and current songs spanning the bands iconic journey since the mid-90's to current. A loyal and dedicated fan base that follows and supports the band were treated to classics; That Song, The Oaf, Albatross, Blown Wide Open and new material from the multiple EP releases 7; Fear and Cowardice, Bombs Away, Better Off, The House. The emotional and powerful vocal acuity from Ian coupled with his technical prowess on the axe and his fellow band members Chris, Dave, and Sekou all providing a driving force, rhythmic pulse, riffs, and vocal backgrounds made for a memorable experience and top notch performance!! If your have an opportunity to see BW Live..Jump on it!!

    Big wreck are monsters live

by Drew on 6/5/23Paradise Rock Club presented by Citizens - Boston

They were awesome, I’ve been to at least 50 shows at the paradise rock club Boston spanning 30 years, I thought the overall sound was too low, I’ve seen big wreck at Brighton music hall a few years ago and they blew the roof off the place!

    Big Wreck/Monster Truck

by Honzo on 3/31/22Abbotsford Centre - Abbotsford

Great small venue. Great sound in the building. Monster Truck rocked hard with their strong set, and rumbling Bass. They were spot on and would see them again anytime. Big Wreck.......wow, mind blown!!!! The sound was album quality all night, with insanly difficult solos, and overall music that was made to look easy. Thornley was so perfect with his voice, and every aspect of the night. Exceeded hopes!! The only downfall for the show, isthat the crowd was not near as loud as they should of been for such a great night

Love Big Wreck - but a bit disappointed

by smilodon on 3/29/22Abbotsford Centre - Abbotsford

The sound was unbalanced with drums drowning out everything but lead guitar. Could barely hear the vocals, and could not understand Ian when he spoke to the crowd. Also, I love the long version of "Ghosts" with the bass solo intro, but the band performed the short version. Lastly, they did not perform their new song, "Middle of Nowhere".

    Big Wrecked

by Mel on 3/29/22Abbotsford Centre - Abbotsford

I bought this ticket quite a while ago. I have seen Big Wreck 4 times at the commodore and looked forward to seeing them in Abbotsford, way closer to home for me. I hurt my ankle the night before the concert and was told to message Abbotsford arena to get some help to my seat since I had crutches. I received no response at all. Missed my first live show in 3 years and didn’t get to see one of my favourite bands. I’m on a disability so purchasing the ticket was a sacrifice. I love Big Wreck but very disappointed in the venue.

The perfect concert to enter back into from covid

by Nick on 3/29/22Abbotsford Centre - Abbotsford

Seats were perfect, we missed brkn love, but monster truck has a lot of good songs and they are better live than thier studio record, they dedicated albatross to Taylor Hawkins, and thier encore song the perfect one to leave the stage with

Big Wreck / Monster Truck Great Show Overall

    by CBL99 on 12/7/21History - Toronto

Super night at the new HISTORY club in Toronto. Wonderful to see one of our favourite bands again LIVE! The venue staff were super friendly kind and helpful. Could not ask for more there. Very civilized where you can order drinks and refreshments to your seat - love that! We had great seats in the first row mezzanine and great unobstructed views, but I have to be honest I found the sound up in that VIP/mezzanine not crisp and clear for Big Wreck. The first 2 bands were great, however when Big Wreck came on it was a bit fuzzy for me up there. When I walked down to the floor level it was completely different and the clarity was much better. There could be some improvement up there. Overall it was a great night.
