BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy was formed in Southern California in 1989 by frontman Scotty Morris and drummer Kurt Sodergren. After self-releasing their eponymous debut album in 1994, the band got their big break when their songs "Go-Daddy-O," "Mr. Pinstripe Suit," and "You & Me & The Bottle Makes 3 Tonight (Baby)" were featured in the 1996 cult film classic Swingers. The popularity boost that followed landed them a deal with Capitol Records, resulting in a string of swinging albums that included Americana Deluxe (1998) and Save My Soul (2003). In addition to performing in the 1999 Super Bowl half-time show, the band has shared the stage with some of the world's leading symphony orchestras, including the LA Phil and the San Francisco Symphony. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy fans have plenty to look forward to as the boys hit the road for another electric round of shows.

Opening act was great, but it seems the opening acts at Wellmont don't seem to have the same sound quality as the headliners. Big Bad Voo Doo Daddy sound just as good today as they did 25 years ago. And they have the energy to match it. Here's wishing them 30 more years together!

BBVD is our absolute favorite band! These guys are so classy, so talented, and so professional. Their music is universally appealing and delivered with perfect musicality and energy. They NEVER disappoint!

Saw Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and The Band That Saved The World at Liberty Hall in Lawrence, KS. Both bands were fantastic! BBVD had people dancing to their music. I would go see them again. But just an FYI to everyone. When you purchase your tickets for this venue, try to get floor seating. The upper balcony seats are way tight and very short legroom. Worth the extra money to get on the floor.
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy has nine extremely talented musicians, all who have been with the band since its inception nearly thirty years ago. I go to lots of concerts and enjoyed this one as much or more than any I've attended. Incredibly fun, I hope to see them again and again!
From the opening band to the final song, this show is in my top five of my favorite shows. Thirty years together with all the originL members. It is no wonder they sounded so great! I would have given it 6 stars if there had been a dance floor. I will absolutely see them again. The liberty hall was fun too!
These guys are great. Touring for 30 Years and still knocking it dead every night. Perfect set and you wish it would go on and on!!
After 30 years of touring and recording, these guys know their stuff. They are consumate professionals and talented musicians. Every selection is fine tuned to show off their skills and bring a smile to the audience. They never disappoint!
A class act. Very entertaining and fun. Great mix of Christmas classics and the songs I have hoped to see live for years. All in a smaller venue. Hope to be there next time they come around.

The group did a good job. As expected a lot of Xmas tunes, but i enjoyed the regular swing songs even more. Fantastic musicians who each got a chance to solo and show their stuff! The concert was well attended but I was surprised that no one got up and"boogied". Even my husband who got roped into going enjoyed it immensely.
Amazing show, amazing energy, amazing rapport with the audience. These guys are the best. I’ve attended several of their shows over the years but this was my first holiday show. I was hoping they wouldn’t do just holiday music and they didn’t. Played a lot of their hits between the holiday music and it was a perfect mix. The crowd loved them. What stood out was the energy they generated- this was their last show on a tour of 20 shows in less than 5 weeks and you’d never know it. They played like it was the first. They work so amazing well together and all seem like they’re having as good a time as the audience. Cannot recommend a BBVD show highly enough. Even if it’s not your kind of music, you’ll still enjoy. Love these guys.

What a talented group of artists. Now I see why they have been together for 30 years. They played a bunch of their songs, Christmas songs, and their spin on Christmas songs. It was a great experience at a small theatre. Wish I didn't wait so long to go see them play, but glad I finally did.
Such a talented and lively band. This was our 5th time attending one of their shows. Always enjoyable.
They started on time. No intermission. Did two songs for the encore. Mixture of Christmas & Swing songs. Every band member got recognition. Great venue and sound system. I could’ve listen to them for another two hours.
