Show was great but projectors were needed. Could not see the artist
SoulFest started out great...but my seat was in the back and folks would not sit down in front of us and we couldn't see a thing. There was a woman in a wheelchair on the last row and I felt sorry for her, she didn't see a thing. I didn't like POKEMAN, I had never heard of him, they just gave him toooo much time
The ladies showed up and out and the guys were good as well
Every act was on point. The crowd was in to the show, singing and dancing along!. It was great!
She still sound the same after all these years in the music industry. Tickets were super cheap for front row seats. The crowd participation was crazy. We had a great time me and my girlfriends. She was energetic. She is one of the artist who truly loves her fans and her fans truly and genuine loves her. I would love to go see her live again. Great show! Great Performance!
Kind of boring and didn't really like that some artists didn't have a live band. Also crowd was really laid-back
I was very excited to attend, but was very disappointed in every sense of the word when the concert started. Comedian was very vulgar, every other word was a curse word and in the same sentence he ended Jesus is real. Music was too load could not hear singer's voice. Songs were dragged out to no extent, song group begging for money. This concert left a bad taste in my mouth. We left before the concert ended.
It took too long for the performers to come to stage. The workers had to fix mikes. We waited about an good hour and half just for them to come on stage. Overall Betty Wright was awesome once she came on stage. SOS Band was ok, they didn't play any of their old music. Seem like they were more concern about raising money and the other SOS group using their name. I would not go see SOS again.
There were better open seating available in the section that my ticket was purchased for, so I feel like seating could've been way better!
I have attended 4 or 5 shows at this venue and this show was an acoustic nightmare. Much too loud and when Betty Wright came on people started leaving. For some reason her shows are always louder than the rest of the performances and with the size of the venue it was painful to listen to her. Clarence Carter was not permitted to finish his show and was rushed off. Deniece Williams could have used a little more time too. I will come back again as long as it doesn't become policy to destroy my ear drums. The seating and the location are perfect and the huge screens give everybody a great view. Best of luck. I travel across the nation doing plays and music concerts seeing 30 plus events yearly. Saw nine shows in three days at Berks Jazz Fest in Reading, Pa.
I was excited about this concert because I'd never seen Deniece Williams nor Betty Wright in the past and wanted to fill that musical void. This show was worth the wait and the money. Lenny Williams, still a tremendous vocalist, started the set in great style, even said a few unexpected "naughty" things to the delight of many squealing ladies. Clarence Carter was typical "bad boy" Clarence Carter. He started a little shaky on his first song, but being a professional, Mr. Carter made some vocal adjustments and showed us that he's still out there working hard to please his audience. "Grandmom" Deniece Williams was everything that I'd expected...a beautiful voice, a positive spirit and still able to warm the hearts of her fans. By the way, Ms.Williams mentioned the "grandmother" thing, in case someone is wondering why I'd mentioned it. She's proud to be a short dress wearing, sexy grandmom. Betty Wright came out and did the d*mn thang, too. I do intend on sending her my medical bills for blowing out my ear drums with those high , shrill screams. This was one of the few shows that I've seen with multiple entertainers which had no disappointing vocalists.
I had high hopes for this concert and it didn't disappoint me one bit. Lenny Williams opened the set; looking and sounding better than ever and he's over 60. U go boy!! Deniece Williams was next, my main reason for attending; she could have done a concert by herself alone. She did the big hits and sounded great. I love her. Clarence Carter was next & can blow any artist in the dirt with his energy and guitar skills; very underrated artist. Love him!! Betty Wright closed the set. High energy, fun and screamed a lot, not sure what that was about; often felt it was not needed since she didn't do it on her prior traxs; she did extended versions of her songs, which was also not needed; even though she sounds great I feel she oversong, overperformed her song especially telling us how Color Me Badd & other artists tried to rip her off in song lyrics(???)...not desired or required....while I was leaving the show after Betty's performance, i looked ahead and saw Lenny, Clarence and Deniece shaking hands, signing autographs and taking pics which i got with all 3...they felt more like family members instead of performers...I guess Betty was too exhausted after her overthetop.com performance to interact with her fans...I guess I know who I will be seeing next time they come...
My niece and I enjoyed all four performers. They can really sing and put on a show for the audience. We enjoyed the show.
Some 30 years later they each sound the same. Ms. Williams and Ms. Wright hit every range in each song. Lenny Williams made you laugh really hard with his interlude right before he sang "Cause I love you". Ms. Williams came out in the lobby after the performance. They all could of performed and hour each and it still wouldn't have been long enough. Well worth the price of the ticket. In fact I'd say it was a steal.
It was more than I expected......it was great. Dennis Williams was great.
I loved every second of this concert! The Legends of Soul need to tour more often and more locations. I travelled from Detroit Mi and it was worth the trip. I would do it again without question.
Loved the show and was very happy that you all saved the best for last. I had never seen Mrs Wright in concert but she blew me away!
Dr. CC and the rest of the artest gave a wonderful performance. I highly recommend it.
All four acts were incredible I love Lonnie Williams, Deniece Williams,Clarence Carter
BETTY WRIGHT WAS OUTSTANDING, AS A FAN FOR MANY YEARS BEING ABLE TO ATTEND HER SHOW WAS DREAM. i WOULD HAVE ONLY HOPED TO HAVE HEARD MORE OF HER SONGS, BUT HOPEFULLY WITH MORE TOURS THIS CAN BE DONE.
