About

Ben Platt is an Emmy, Grammy and Tony Award-winning actor, singer, songwriter and producer. The Los Angeles native began acting at an early age and earned several stage credits before his breakout film role in the 2012 musical comedy Pitch Perfect. After starring in the 2014 Broadway run of The Book of Mormon, Platt took the lead role in Dear Evan Hansen, a high school-set musical drama that debuted on Broadway in 2016. The production collected six Tonys, including Platt for Best Leading Actor in a Musical, and he was later awarded a Grammy and Daytime Emmy as a member of the cast. Meanwhile, the Hansen and Hamilton mash-up charity single “Found/Tonight” with Lin-Manuel Miranda became Platt’s first Billboard Hot 100 single in 2018. Ben Platt’s debut solo album Sing to Me Instead arrived in 2019, followed by his second full-length Reverie in 2021. Platt earned his second leading actor Tony nomination for the 2023 Broadway revival of Parade. In 2024, he is set to release his third album, Honeymind.

    BEN IS THE BEST

by C. M. on 10/4/22Mark G Etess Arena at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Atlantic City

Ben put on a great show. Clearly the best male vocalist out there right now. I was in awe every time he opened his mouth. Ticketmaster, however, is terrible. Couldn't get through to a person for days (I still haven't been able to). Never using their service again.

    Intimate & Fun

by Liz on 10/4/22Mark G Etess Arena at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Atlantic City

Such a fun and intimate night with Ben Platt! Great venue, staff even upgraded our seats. Wish there were more space in the chair section, had to stand to the side to not be shoulder squished. Ben is INCREDIBLE.

    Amazinggg

by Alyssa on 10/3/22Agganis Arena - Boston

Ben’s voice is angelic and extraordinary. He was heartfelt in all of the right moments, while also bringing the perfect energy to his performances. He seems like the sweetest guy with so much talent. I was a little disappointed that more songs weren’t played from Sing to Me Instead, but I got to hear him sing She Used to Be Mine and that was amazing. I loved this concert!!

    Best night of my life!

by Tuck on 10/3/22Agganis Arena - Boston

I haven’t wanted to go to a concert in years and once I heard Ben Platt was performing I got so excited and had to go! I already loved his Reverie album and some of his older songs such as “Grow as we Go” which helped me through a lot. Getting to hear him light up the stage with his voice was the best night of my life! Every time I wanted him to get up to the next note and belt it he did! He also has such an incredible voice in person! Also his outfit and personality were so adorable! I hope to see him perform again and I wish I could meet him!

Oh my GOSH. I don’t even know where to start. I don’t know what I went in expecting, but he exceeded all of my expectations in every area. His singing was phenomenal, his dancing was so fun to watch, and he is just such an awesome person in general. Would 100% recommend, do not miss getting tickets if you’re thinking about it!

    Amazing Performance and venue!

    by K. M. on 10/2/22

The Hard Rock in Atlantic City is an amazing venue sat in section 207 row E and felt they were great seats. Ben Platt rocked the house. The audience was so diverse and sang along with all his songs. Such an uplifting experience! He is unapologetically himself and his fans adore him. Will be back for more concerts!

    So so good

by Nadia on 10/2/22Agganis Arena - Boston

I had so much fun at the concert, Ben Platt is my absolute favorite artist and it was so great seeing him live. The only comment I have is that I was in the very back and even though I could see the full stage, I couldn't see any details and it felt like I was watching a movie rather than being at a concert. It would be helpful to have screens or something showing his face and close ups. Other than that, absolutely wonderful, definitely would go to another one of his concerts!

    Band too loud

by M. M. on 9/30/22Madison Square Garden - New York

The band was too loud and he had no truly intimate moments where he connected with the crowd. Trying to fill such a huge space he and the band overdid it. A few quiet intimate moments would have been appreciated. It can be done even in humongous MSG. In the past at Radio City and the Beacon he was a master at it. He does have a big voice. That part worked great, but he never was truly quiet. He belted even the ballads and had trouble singing over the too loud band. Also there was a moment in one of his most popular uptempo songs when the entire audience was singing along. The band should have stopped playing at some point while he and the audience sang acapello and then he should have stopped singing and let the audience serenade him. Big missed opportunity. I love Ben Platt and will definitely see him again, but in this concert, unlike his others at the Beacon and Radio City, he failed to make the intimate, guiet, heart connection all his fans were longing for. Even the ballads were blasted by him and the band. Maybe they didn’t trust the sound system, or maybe the sound operator was deaf. Very sad missed opportunity.
