Ben Folds is widely regarded as one of the major music influencers of our generation.
He's created an enormous body of genre-bending music that includes pop albums with Ben Folds Five, multiple solo albums, and numerous collaborative records. Folds released his first book - a collection of interrelated essays, anecdotes and lessons about art, life and music - in 2019, which debuted as a New York Times Best Seller, and is currently hosting a podcast series spinoff of his book entitled "Lightning Bugs: Conversations with Ben Folds." In addition to solo rock and orchestral touring, he's also developing a new unscripted tv series with Fred Rogers Productions, continues to appear in various film/tv guest starring roles, and is working on two new albums.

I’ve seen Ben Folds twice now and he never disappoints. Loved seeing him at the Rose, it’s one of my favorite venues to watch live music.
Loved the show, venue was clean, staff was nice and helpful in finding seating. Ben Folds, again, was fabulous.
Opening band was great ! They performed 1 song that they called unplugged. So no microphone or plugged in instruments. This song and other song that they performed during the Ben Folds set couldn't be heard (I was in the last row if the lower level by the sound booth). Then while playing music from his new album he had a full band and that was fine for his new music. However when playing his older songs they played as well drowning out any a lot of the sound that has made me a fan. Moving forward I will only see Ben Folds if I know he will be the main act in his own show.
Unfortunately not being fans of Taller Heights music may have spoiled the opening for us. We appreciate their musicianship, but their songs go nowhere. Mindless rambling and mostly boring. We’ve seen Ben 4 other times and have always left wanting more, but tonight was off. Someone blew the sound check. Bass was too heavy and distorted and there was feedback throughout the entire show. Totally disappointed because Stiefel has the best acoustics in STl. Ben totally missed an opportunity to wow us.
Loved Ben Folds in concert. The venue has great sound and high def tvs everywhere that it is needed. BUT the back few rows under the center balcony were VERY hard to see anyone on stage. I had to either just watch the tv or stand in back. FYI! Perhaps some sort of risers could be made?
An evening with Ben Folds is like having a conversation with a great, old friend. A friend who has shared all your highs and lows throughout life. You think about times of growing up, your family and friends. But most importantly, you listen to some really good music. The band was amazing, Ben sounds supreme, and the venue has great acoustics. Couldn't have been a better night 😊
It was nice they moved us closer, but seats were reallyclise together.
Amazing but the band and ben sat too far back on the stage
A perfect show! Exquisite venue, great song selection, superb playing by the tight, well balanced band. I was "not the same" after that.
SO great to see Ben back on stage w a full band! It was obvious that he was as thrilled as the audience was. Tall Heights (opener + backing band) was fantastic; having seen them on tour with him pre-pandemic, I knew they were also insanely talented, but headsmack - never occurred to me that they're playing on the new album and part of his band. If they'd been playing multiple nights, I probably would have gone back! Don't miss this tour.
Great Show. Awesome to see Ben back with a band, and the venue couldn't have been better.
This was a really good show. Ben was amazing. He was funny and interacted with the crowd. The set was a nice mixture of new and classic. The opening act was really good too. I will definitely see him again.
I've been fortunate to have seen Ben perform many times over the last few decades and it's always a treat. Ranging from the days at Ziggy's in Winston-Salem as part of Ben Folds Five to the Sydney Opera House accompanied by an orchestra, to just him and a piano, every performance showcases his incredible talent.
Incredible show - Ben Folds played every song with the while ASO, it was such a pleasure to watch them all working in concert!
Outstanding in every way! Can’t wait to see him again.
The Tennessee theater is always so much fun. Brings me back to my college years. And Ben folds is a treat. Funny and smart. Wish there was a better beer selection but it’s not Asheville.
Ben never disappoints! My only wish is that it was still going… can’t wait for his next concert!
Amazing talent. Fun and funny. Ben is an amazing singer songwriter and piano player.
Absolutely fantastic. I’ve loved Ben for 25 plus years and always wanted to see him live. Did not disappoint.
What can I say about Ben Folds—he is beyond talented!!
