Ben Folds is widely regarded as one of the major music influencers of our generation.
He's created an enormous body of genre-bending music that includes pop albums with Ben Folds Five, multiple solo albums, and numerous collaborative records. His last album was a blend of pop songs and his Concerto for Piano and Orchestra that soared to #1 on both the Billboard classical and classical crossover charts.
For over a decade he's performed with some of the world's greatest symphony orchestras, and currently serves as the first ever Artistic Advisor to the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center.
Folds released his first book - a collection of interrelated essays, anecdotes and lessons about art, life and music - in 2019, which debuted as a New York Times Best Seller, and is currently hosting a podcast series spinoff of his book entitled "Lightning Bugs: Conversations with Ben Folds." In addition to solo rock and orchestral touring, he's also developing a new unscripted tv series with Fred Rogers Productions, continues to appear in various film/tv guest starring roles, and is working on two new albums.
An avid photographer, Folds is also a member of the prestigious Sony Artisans of Imagery, has worked as an assignment photo editor for National Geographic, and was featured in a mini-documentary by the Kennedy Center's Digital Project on his photographic work.

He co trollwd the show with only a piano. He conducted the audience and had us all sing harmonies. Absolutely amazing.
Ben folds puts on a really engaging show. He involves the audience and tells a story throughout the night. Totally unique from a lot of other performers!
The opening act was Jason Waggoner and he was a very good singer. He seemed nervous and talked a lot between songs and tended to ramble, but when he perfromed it was very good. Ben always puts on a solid show. However, it was a little bit difficult at times to hear is vocals about the piano playing. The show seemed a bit rushed and shorter than usual. He ever seemed to not take the time he usually does after someone says "Rock this bitch" to creat a song at the moment which is also a trademark of every show he does. He has so many songs and since this tour was just himself at the piano, I am surprised he has been keeping to a setlist that does not vary from show to show. I loved the idea when people would thow a piece of paper on stage or zoom a paper airplane and he would read it and play that song. I was thankful he played Fred Jones Part II as he frequently leaves that great and poignant song out of his show. I liked that he ended the show, with the encore being The Luckiest, which has become such a fan favorite years after it initially came out.
Ben Folds played all but one of his songs and he even talked about music theory while improvising a song. Since he did not play One Angry Dwarf and 200 Solemn Faces the concert was only a 4/5.
Always entertaining and enjoyable. Never a disappointment
Amazing concert! Ben Folds broke the piano... But it was funny, and the crew was able to fix it! The venue was so nice, and the ushers and bartenders were very kind and helpful!
I'm always amazed how captivating Ben's performance is. I've heard and played these songs a million times and still, hearing them live, with a room full of semi-harmonious voices, is the best live experience ls I've had No need for fancy lights or showmanship. These shows are about the music, and I couldn't recommend it enough! Ben, thank you for coming out to the desert yet again!!!
Dude’s got some mad talent. Not just piano or voice, but improvising when the piano got finicky. It was a wonderful evening!
Ben had an awesome show - small venue had his diehard fans singing along to most tunes
This is an event for FANS...everyone there knew the lyrics ... great experience
Took me away from my thoughts with lots of great tunes, laughter and audience participation! And lessons on how to make the most of a defective piano! Ben Folds is real, a “Diva” would have walked away but this true artist hammered it out! Thanks, we are the Luckiest!
Ben Folds was entertaining and interactive! Even though he had some technical difficulties with the piano he and his team were quick to resolve the issue and Ben was a pro and figured it out. The most fun I’ve had at a concert in a long time!
Other than difficulties with the piano it was sublime.
Awesome performance. Like someone else stated below, very enthusiastic to perform and very interactive with the crowd. He was loose and funny. It was just what I expected. He nearly broke the piano but the crew managed to keep it going with only a short intermission.
Bought 4 tickets in January and concert was canceled by March….still haven’t received refund….ugh
Definitely exceeded my expectations. He interacted with the crowd and truly played like he wanted to be there. Lots of energy and music from one guy and a piano. Hated the small, no leg room seats in the balcony.
The show was fantastic, and the health check went smoothly. We felt safe being able to enjoy live music.
We’ve seen Ben Folds sooo many times live and he’s always amazing. Amazing musicianship, poet, comedian- and fans that are respectful and fun.
Ben Folds always does a fantastic show! Even during a pandemic he went out of his way to make sure the show was above and beyond with a great set list and his usual hilarious antics! Thanks Ben!!
