Awesome show from beginning to end, horn section was off the hook. Will definitely see again next time they come back around.
The band was great The venue was just the right size They played many of the hits The brass was spot on I will see them for sure when they come around again I enjoyed them more than the “new” Chicago
Great concert with a two great sets of Chicago's best. Multi-talented group of passionate musicians who left ir all on stage. Don't miss group for Chicago fans.
While all members of the band were really great, the brass section were the highlight for me. Not to take ANYTHING away from the rest of the band, however. They're music is as close to perfect! Especially enjoyed their jam session after intermission where ALL members could individually share their talents. I would not hesitate at the opportunity to see them again!
We still can’t believe why we heard. They are beyond great
What a phenomenal performance! I can’t wait to see them again!! If you like Chicago you have to see this band!!
Totally enjoyed reliving old memories through the music of our past! Beginnings is even better than the original Chicago… Outstanding vocals, instrumentals, and commentary! Music that everyone can enjoy and dance in the isles or in your seat too! Loved, loved, loved it!
This band covered all the essential Chicago sounds, plus a few. The musicianship and vocals are excellent. I would see this show again, and recommend it to my friends.
Without reservation, both my wife and I independently told others that this Beginnings concert was one of the best we have ever been to. Tremendous energy, great audience participation and simply great, great music!
Great show! Fat horns, very accurate music, and the guys seemed to be truly enjoying themselves. They really bonded with the crowd. We all walked out with faces sore from 90 minutes of smiling. I'll definitely see Beginnings again!
It was nice to see them performing in honor to the great Band Chicago, they gave us a very good show, the theater was great too, the sound , the illumination. Everything was organized very professional.
Awesome concert! Great musicians! So glad we went & would welcome seeing them again !
The Beginnings show was worth every cent of the ticket price. The band has incredible energy and talent. They played tight and really got everyone on their feet. Jazzy rock and roll with a big big sound!! Catch this act if you can!
This concert by Beginnings, much to my surprise, was better than going to a Chicago concert. The band is relaxed, fun, and playful, and accomplished musicians all. The madmen of the brass section surprised everyone by strolling into the audience for a stay during Saturday in the Park. After the show, being able to chat with the band members in the lobby was the perfect end to this top-notch concert. The Parker is an enjoyable venue with helpful and courteous docents. I made it a point to think about Dr. Schwartz as I peed in the restroom that is named after him.
Overall it was a fun night with many songs the audience loved. Lead singer and bassist did a good job, lead guitarist was a little cord happy and i think he had much more talent to share. Trumpet and trombone super , saxophone had spirit but could do more on solos. Keyboard player had super energy and vocals good too. Biggest criticism was the mix. Soundman had all mics at same volume it seemed making vocals were a bit fuzzy.
Holy cow these guys are great! Brass section as good as the original. Keyboardist and leader of the band is a solid A. Vocals and drummer a B+. Guitarist is very talented but needs to work on making it sound more like the original. I give him a B. Overall I would say concert is an A because very close to the original and the songs are epic.
Beautiful playhouse. Acoustics very good. Band from NY (we are too) Played a lot of memories for us (70, 80s) for our 50th Anniversary. Enjoyed it!
The music was awesome!! The horn section was perfect. The voices were soothing and the sound was fantastic. I would definitely see them again!!
They entertained so well. They had the crowd moving & dancing on their feet. I liked the fact that they went down to the public. Their musical numbers were fabulous. They also had a good sense of humor.
When I go to a Tribute concert - I always see if Shazam recognizes the song -- This band passed the Shazam test. Interestingly , sometimes the original artist fails the Shazam test as they have either aged or changed the song
