  • I would have rather slept in

Nothing said it was a five crew production and nor did it let me know before hand that they dont use the original story line from beauty and the beast they use some other way around the story singing songs I have never heard. I was very dissappointed about this show, I got these tickets 5 months in advance, I was really excited and it really should have found another location for the event, it just made Dallas look bad.

  • Beauty and the Beast was beyond imagination!

I took my 5 year old daughter to the show. She was captivated by the whole things and loved it. It was amazing from start to finish. The singing and dancing was perfect and the sets really made you feel like you were there.

  • False advertising

by WaxahachieMomma on 4/18/11Bruton Theater - DallasRating: 1 out of 5

First, the production we saw was sold under the name "NETworks presents Disney's Beauty and the Beast." It absolutely was not. I had never been to the facility where it was being performed. I know the tickets were slightly less than the production in the next town over, but I figured it was due to this being an older, smaller facility. I expected a scaled back version. Though the story was about a beauty and a beast, it was not even close to the Disney version. Six players, simply painted backdrops on moving wooden panels that were of high school quality. Main character was called Beauty the entire play, not Belle. No Gaston. No supporting characters like Mrs. Potts, etc. Beast had a rose, but it was for seeing people you missed and loved. While the acting was adequate, and my daughter seemed to enjoy herself, I am still very disappointed and slightly angry about the deception.

I went to this play with my three year old granddaughter, she sat through the whole play and was mesmerized buy the singing, comedy, and dancing. I defiantly would recommend this play to my friends to take either their children or grandchildren it was great family entertainment. There was not any pictures allowed so we could not have any photo memory of the stage.

I went to Beauty & the Beast with my 4 year old daughter, my mother & mother-in-law. We all loved it. It was truly magical for my daughter. Her attention was held the whole show. The actors did an amazing job. The singing was fantastic as were the costumes. Overall, it was well-worth the money and we would go see it again!

I thought this production was fabulous! I hope to see more at the DECC like this. I hope they will be more in the Summer on the weeknights as this is a show that I brought my six year old to and it got to be a little late for her where she was ready to go with being so tired. Otherwise to have them on the weekends or earlier during the weekdays.

If your thinking about seeing this show don't delay any longer, it is a must see. The cast was phenominal. Beautiful songs, great acting, and lovely costumes and stage design. I saw this musical on the third and last night it was in my town and the performance was just like an opening night. I highly reccommend this to anyone who loves musical or disney in general.
