Acting and Singing was excellent. I liked the moving set and the way it felt like different rooms just by moving around. The animals that moved the set did a great job. The outside of the set was way too busy and distracting from the center. I also did not like the exaggeration of the sexual parts of the script with gaston and the girls and the candlestick and the feather duster. For a children's play that was very inappropriate. I don't think it is necessary to add sex in order to appeal to adults. I really liked this production just thought the outside of the set could have been less artsy and the sexual innuendos could have been left out.

It was everything I thought it would be! Loved how animation crossed over to reality.

If you ever have the chance to take your kids to see anything, this is the show to see! It was truly amazing! When the beast transforms into the prince at the end, all the kids in the audience was just amazed at the "magic" that happens! Wonderful cast, wonderful singing, wonderful EVERYTHING! I loved this movie as a kid and I still love this movie as an adult so much that I was crying towards the end of this show because they made this so real life that you forget all about the movie. I can't wait to see it again!!

  • Beauty and The Beast was great for all ages

My 3 year old daughter and I went to see Beauty and the Beast and loved it. The cast did such a great job. My 3 year old sat through the whole thing without complaint. She was wide eyed and watching every moment. When we got home its all she could talk about it. Great show!

We loved the show. Belle's singing was incredible. We were not thrilled with the lay out of the auditorim. For a mom of 2 & 4 yr olds we spend much of our time going up and down the stairs to go to the bathroom. Bathroom locations at the auditorim are so inconvenient. To only have one women's restroom we couldn't possibly wait in the long line before the show. So we had to go during the show. Not sure I would go back to Stephen's auditorium. There are definately better theaters.

Beauty and the Beast is an amazing show with very talented performers and orchestra, along with great choreography. I was expecting the show to be decent, but was wonderfully surprised when it turned out to be amazing! Absolutely recommended.

Although the image on the page for this event reads "NETworks presents Disney's Beauty and the Beast", this was not a NETworks production, nor was it the Disney version of Beauty and the Beast. I'm very annoyed at Ticketmaster's false advertising, and their customer service departments refusal to admit that using an image that says "Disney" to sell tickets to a non-Disney production is wrong. My daughter was too young for the play we actually saw, she was expecting to see the characters from the Disney version and hear the songs from the Disney movie. The production seemed to be geared towards older children. The actors were good, I particularly liked the women who played Beauty's 2 sisters. Rating the production for what it actually was I'd give it 3.5 stars, but it was a serious disappointment given that we were expecting to see the Disney version and my daughter really did not enjoy it.

My 2 grandaughters ages 2 and 3 1/2 as well as my Daughter, Mother, and Daughter-in-Law attended Beauty and the Beast at the Music Circus in Cohasset. We were very dissapointed in the costumes and the props..or lack of. The costumes were very dull and drab almost dirty looking. I expected bright colors and some of the props as seen in the movie. The 3 1/2 kept asking when is the Beast coming? She didn't recognize him, she also kept waiting for " Belle with the yellow dress". Maybe this was geared for older children and ours were to young. The actors did a great job...no complaints there. I think for a young audience there needs to be more color and definatley better props!

  • KaleidoscopeTheater does it again!

The recent original production of Beauty and the Beast was wonderful! At times the music drowned out the actor's voices but that was the only negative thing about the production. I remember taking my children to these showsand now I am introducing my grandchildren to them. It is just as magical now as it was then. Thank you for making theater available to youg children and fostering a love of the arts.

Majority of dialog in muscil format, not easy for a child to follow,as a visual experance the show was entertaining.and the children enjoyed the show, this venue does not allow you to bring a simple bottle of water in,so that they can charge you $ 3.50 for a 25 cent bottle of water.

  • Beauty & Beast for older children

by KathyRV on 7/16/11South Shore Music Circus - CohassetRating: 2 out of 5

The voices were difficult to hear from our seats in Section 6. Too much singing and not enough dialogue for younger children. A little more set decoration would be helpful as well. Recommend for at least 7 years and older

I bought the tickets for my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter who is 2. They said the play was great but she lost interest when songs were sung that weren't in the Disney movie. They said the costumes and singing were wonderful. Intermission was after an hour and a half and it was too long for the baby to sit through another 90 minutes so they left at intermission.

The play was, as a whole, amazingly well done and completely enjoyable. It was far more humorous than I'd expected to be and the actors were second to none. I would gladly be going to another play done by the same group.

  • Would see again and again

My family loved this play. We had a great time and thought it was perfect for our five year old.

Very good production. It was very hard to hear / understand several of the cast - not sure if it was the theater or the cast.

I thought the scene and effects were amazing BUT the costumes were very inappropriate. The three girls chests were almost completely showing and the french maids butt was hanging out every time she came out on stage. It ruined my experience... I was very upset that a Disney production was made sexual... It was very disappointing to see. For the amount of money we spent on these it wasn't worth it.
