BEAUTIFUL – The Carole King Musical tells the inspiring true story of King’s remarkable rise to stardom, from being part of a hit songwriting team with her husband Gerry Goffin, to her relationship with fellow writers and best friends Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, to becoming one of the most successful solo acts in popular music history. Along the way, she made more than beautiful music, she wrote the soundtrack to a generation.
Featuring a stunning array of beloved songs written by Gerry Goffin/Carole King and Barry Mann/Cynthia Weil, including “I Feel The Earth Move,” “One Fine Day,” “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,” “You’ve Got A Friend” and the title song, BEAUTIFUL has a book by and Tony® Award-nominee and Academy® Award-nominated writer Douglas McGrath, direction by Marc Bruni, choreography by Josh Prince, and took home two 2014 Tony® Awards and a 2015 Grammy® Award.

We had a wonderful time. Website gave all info needed to be prepared to get in easily. Plenty of staff to show you the way once inside. Very well run operation. The show was exceptional. We booked parking online with Macy’s. $15.00. It was good for Valet service from 1 to 7 PM. That lot is several blocks from the theater.
Incredible performances, music and venue. Thank you for a great evening back on Broadway. My only suggestion - our view was interrupted twice for those addressed several times for not wearing masks. This is made extremely clear at the onset. If people don’t want to comply - stop giving them multiple chances. They are a disruption. Be good parents. One warning and then goodbye if they can’t manage. This is the way Broadway can continue - then so be it. Those that sign at the onset and multiple times they understand they need to wear a mask and then don’t - don’t need to be there.
GREAT EXPERIENCE! EASY AND SAFE! EVERYTING WENT SMOOTHLY.
Chicago had very talented performers All ofvthem were first class !
Second time seeing this. Better seats this time! Loved it!
Best play EVER. From start to finish it is on fire. Great music great dancing great EVERYTHING.
I paid for parking when I bought the tickets came to the theater, entered the garage using my QR code. Then was asked to pay another $48 upon exiting. Show was wonderful…not with the $70 I paid in parking, however.
Everything was very organized even with the extra COVID check. Our seats were good and the extra $40 suite package was definitely worth it. Had a little blip there as the tickets didn’t show the suite bar code that was needed. The staff fixed that quickly though and very courteous.
While I had very high expectations (love Carole King and her album, Tapestry), this show exceeded every one of my expectations. My daughter, who had never heard of Carole King and was skeptical, she is still talking about how great this show was and how great the music was.
The show was fantastic. Our second time seeing it and we were over joyed. The music was fantastic. The story was captivating. I would see again and again.
Extremely entertaining! The talented actors gave justice to each of the songs. It’s also very educational given that the story is about a very talented singer/song writer’s life…. I would definitely watch the show again. It never gets old!
It was a great show, I was so glad to be back in a theater
We enjoyed the play, the songs & had a wonderful time.
Great music , great story with a marvelous cast It’s a must see!
The theater is gorgeous and the production of Beautiful was fantastic. However, my husband's seat was so wet it soaked through his pants! We were on the floor, 4th row, luckily he was able to move to the next seat, but it was very uncomfortable.
What an awesome musical! So many hit songs over the decades. Many singing groups benefitted from her musical talent. We would definitely see this show again.
It was indeed Beautiful. The music was great and the story of how it came together was intriguing.
Our experience was ruined by the parking that was offered when we bought the tickets. There was no clear instructions to the location of “advanced” parking. The garage was not identified with that name. It was unclear how and when we scan the digital barcode. Many other people were just as frustrated and ended up paying the 49.00 just so they could get out of there. The parking attendants tried scanning our digital barcode and it didn’t work. They said that is a problem Ticketmaster digital purchase. They finally just lifted the gate since it was verified that we did purchase. You really need to add instruction to parking ticket. I googled advance parking and nothing was found. The address on the ticket was the theaters address. We had to stop at the theater to ask someone. Very very frustrating.we finally arrived at the theater just in time for the show, by that time we were all in pretty bad moods. Thanks for a rotten experience.
It didn’t hurt that we were in the front row and so close to the stage we waited to be called up for a number! But, the musical is fabulous! Fast paced and full of great songs woven through a moving storyline. Beautiful is a must see for anyone but especially those who love the music of Carol King.
