For once, the weather was AWESOME!!! The band line up was great and diverse. Would like to have seen a few more bands that weren't quite so heavy metal, but still rock and roll on Sunday. JOAN JETT and KID ROCK were awesome!
This was my second year at the Beale St Music Festival, and it was great! The weather was perfect! It is a great festival with lots of variety, and the food and beer are not overpriced!
Third Eye Blind, Jerry Lee Lewis and Buddy Guy were outstanding.
*whispers*....spectacular. #a7xtho .................................................
Always a good time as long as you're not too uptight.
It was epic. I will be back next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
all the music aws great ! How bout more picnic tables 2 sit & or eat on ? that would also b great !
The lineup was lackluster, but the weather was great!
I had tickets only for Saturday. I saw Joan Jett & the Heartbreakers and it was like being back in the 80's all over again. But the main reason I was there was to rock out w/Kid Rock. Let's just say I love Bobby Shazaam!!!!
There were two bands that had major technical issues and after 30 minutes after start time had passed I gave up and saw someone else. (twenty-pilots and beats antique) I was sure it was gonna be a "hipster-fest" with some of the bands that were there but instead we were innundated with drunk, obnoxious frat rats (fraternity dudes) from local major universities. good variety of music.
Enjoyed all three days. Met some really nice people. An overall great experience.
Best one I have attended in years. Jerry Lee Lewis is an icon. Will Tucker is simply amazing. Joan Jett put on the best show that I have seen from her in over twenty years. Kid Rock just tore it up. Everyone needs to see him perform at least once in their lives.
Surrender the fall a local Memphis band have been a fan for 8 years love them awesome always gets the crowd pumped. Seether never lets you down!. And avenge sevenfold was just out of the world they have a new fan!!! And I'm not the type to like their music!!(: would just wear better and more comfortable shoes next time I wore flat sandals and got blisters and they hurt like crazy!! Make sure you're not doing anything the next day bc you're gonna be wiped out and exhausted. (: wanna go again wish papa roach was there tho!!. <3 bring money and lots of it plus good friends to have fun with too!!(:
It was a great show, nice variety in artists. Parking kind of an issue though.
Back in the day, I spent some time at Grateful Dead shows. I always enjoyed the atmosphere as much as the music. This festival brought me back to those days. The crowd was laid back and friendly. Sitting on a blanket next to the Mississippi river on an 80 degree day-well it doesn't get much better than that. It seemed like every day brought better and better music--culminating in the amazingly talented Alabama Shakes. We loved watching the older gentleman sing the blues on the porch of the little house Friday night. Blues Traveler and Buddy Guy were AMAZING!. And I cant say it enough--Alabama Shakes was incredible. Before we left Sunday night, we had already decided that this is going to be an annual event for us.
GREAT time... crowds were there but was workable.. diverse music group
what an awesome show! The weather was perfect, the music perfect! So much diversity in music.
What made the event so awesome? Awesome weather Awesome concerts Awesome food Awesome location Awesome people I can't wait for next year!
3 nights for $80 total! That's just amazing. Cheap beers too. Can't beat it. I was dissapointed in the the lineup at first, but as it turns out, this was one of the best BSMF's I've ever seen. Great mix of rap, rock, and soul. I absolutely loved it.
