The only complaint I have is: We were hanging around after Lecrae's wonderful show to wait for Lindsey Sterling. G-Eazy came in between them. He was disgusting and vulgar. The things he said were not for my 14 yr old daughter to hear, so we ran away and came back for Lindsey. I wish they had put him after Lindsey instead of between two clean, family acts.
The main reason I went was to see Lindsey Stirling. I was treated to a day full of great music! And a Fantastic set by Lindsey! I enjoyed the entire day Music , Food and Drink who could ask for more!
Our group went for the first time expecting to see and hear a variety of music. Not so! From one stage to the next, the music all sounded the same. With the wealth of musical styles that have come out of Memphis, we were hoping to hear artists representing at least the last seven or eight decades of music. Of course, we couldn't have heard nuanced musicality any way because every sound system was at ear splitting volume. Sadly, we will not return, nor will we recommend this event to any of our friends.
We went to the music fest solely to see Big Head Todd and the Monsters. They did not disappoint. They were awesome. Beautiful weather. Listening to fantastic music sitting by the river. Hopefully they'll be back next year for the 40th event.
He was wonderful! I'm a fan so he will always be great in my book. The weather was perfect! I haven't been to the festival in a very long time...I'm glad I went.
lots of good music from different genres... long ways from 1st tent to last tent..
Awesome structure for an event like that, the public behaved as expected and the concerts started at right time.
Overall we had a good time. 3 of the 4 bands we went to see were awesome! In This Moment, Slash/Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators and Breaking Benjamin killed it! Five Finger Death Punch killed themselves. They were headlining the show and had a total meltdown on stage. Part of the problem was technical. Their mics were not working, they couldn't hear themselves and the audience couldn't hear them because of the overpowering bass and drums. The first 3 bands must have broken the sound system. At any rate we did not get our full monies worth.
The lineup at BMSF gets better every year. This year the weather brought the crowds, but everything was manageable and we all had an incredible time. Pixies! Lenny Kravitz! Flaming Lips!
Had an AWESOME time Loved the event will definitely be going back, and Breaking Benjamin was GREAT
Not the greatest line up this year, but it was definitely still worth $46. Lenny Kravitz preformed a little too late for me, but he still rocked one of the biggest crowds I've ever seen. AWOLNATION put on a pretty good show too. To top the day/night off, the weather was beautiful.
I can honestly say that the Memphis in May Musical Festival 2015 exceeded my expectations - the venue, the people, the food and the artist lineup -- blew me away! My husband and I are excited to make this an annual trip!
I went Friday and Saturday and saw so many incredible acts that I will never forget!
I went Friday night and it was awesome being right there while AWOLNATION and the Pixies played. I will see AWOLNATION AGAIN!
Nice. Crowded. Prices way to high for food and beverages, but then that's not why one comes to the music fest. That said, definitely a good deal for the artist you get to see and well worth it.
The park set up was horrible for the crowd. The bathroom lines were 45 minutes and blocked the only way through the crowd. There was an hour wait for drinks. The police let us sit on the hill then ran hundreds of people off creating a human herd. Good music line up but the organizers could do a much better job of flow.
Fun time. Wish the lineup was a bit stronger. Some of the bands were one hit wonders.
Blues Tent Performances were awesome! Especially the Ghost Town Blues Band!
BMW is hands down the best festival anywhere for the money
Great line-up as usual. Perfect weather for the first time.
