Bazzi on Tour

Pop singer Bazzi has a gift for making the sincere sound stylish. Take the signature line of his breakthrough single “Mine,” which he coos casually over a staccato trap beat: “You so f*cking precious when you smile.” That sweet sentiment and Bazzi’s off-the-cuff delivery launched this Michigan-born artist’s career when “Mine” became part of a Snapchat meme in 2018, but his infectiousness is hardly a trend. Whether sitting on a stool with his acoustic guitar or standing in front of a full band, when Bazzi opens his mouth to sing live, the room sings along. As a testament to his performative power, he’s toured with both his hero Justin Timberlake and young star Camila Cabello, who also joined him for a re-recording of his “Beautiful.” That song combines real romance with sex appeal, and mellow grooves with soaring vocals, and it sounded great when he sang it from the top of a float — and directly into TV viewers’ homes — during the 2018 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Bazzi in Concert

Andrew Bazzi grew up in Canton, Michigan, raised by a Lebanese father who instilled in him a love of the lute-like oud instrument at a young age. He would also learn acoustic guitar at home, at the same time shoring up his role as beloved class clown at school. Elvis impressions and improvised songs got Bazzi the most attention, so by 2012 — around the age of 15 — he had begun posting cover songs on YouTube, and in 2014 he convinced his dad to relocate the family to Los Angeles so he could fulfill his dream of becoming a pop star. Inspired by Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake and Bryson Tiller, Bazzi combined old-school ability, pop-R&B swagger and new-school production. That winning mix garnered him a massive fan base, first on Vine (where he had 1.5 million followers), and later more broadly as he self-released original songs like “Beautiful” and “Mine” and watched as they took on lives of their own. The viral success of “Mine” led to a record deal with Atlantic, as well as high-profile tour placements, and of course a full-length debut. Dubbed Cosmic, Bazzi’s 2018 album is full of starry-eyed anthems about making it big and, naturally, making love. His 2019 mixtape follow-up Soul Searching looks more inward but pulls in outsiders like 21 Savage who solidify Bazzi’s rap bona fides.

Bazzi’s performance was so amazing! He kept it short and sweet but also connected with the crowd and performed songs they were requesting. He was so nice and funny and his voice is phenomenal in person. The venue was great too!!

    Great Performance

    by K. S. on 11/10/22

To start off the venue and staff didn't seem to know what was going on and was unorganized. There were VIP Meet & Greet and VIP fast pass. I got there 4:45pm cause it said get there at 5pm, don't be late. So Meet & Greet didn't even get inside until 6:30pm! Once they decided to let us in they were checking ID for alochol. I wish they had done that as we were waiting. Same with the GA wristbands. Get it on us beforehand. I liked we got first dibs at merch while waiting but it would of been nice if they handed out the posters after the concert so everyone wasn't carrying them around (maybe use the laminate as a way to show we get a poster or our ticket). A bag would of been nice too to hold everything. I was really nervous meeting him. He was sweet and nice to his fans. Photos seemed a little rushed so you didn't get much 1 on 1 time. Some people got multiple photos. Even when he didn't want to do something in Q&A he said no but wasn't rude about it. I was near the front but when I got to the bathroom and they let all GA in I couldn't get back uo there. I moved to a raised level in GA but got pushed by a group of girls so I just moved. Concert was great. Stage was simple, loved the images on the screen. Like others said it did feel to go fast. Maybe if he sat and talked a bit more with the audience, it would also give him a chance to take a breather. This is the second concert I've been to of his and I'd go again. I love his songs and voice.

    AMAZING

by kylie w. on 11/8/22The Fillmore Philadelphia - Philadelphia

This show was amazing!! Bazzi never fails to wow fans with his vocals!! He sounds exactly the same in person as he does on Spotify!! The graphics were great. His stage presence was so personal and high energy! He really is an amazing person and you can tell he pours his heart and soul into his music and performances. 10000/10 would recommend seeing Bazzi anywhere!! Information from The Fillmore was not clearly stated and there was no direction as to where fans should wait and how we were entering the venue. The show did run behind schedule and the people that worked at The Fillmore were kind of rude but besides that everything went fairly smooth.

by Lex on 11/7/22Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New York

The concert was magical. It was something else, and Bazzi is one of the most down to earth. A.CHAL adorable artist you’ll meet with the most amazing voice and the realist personality you’ll ever meet.

Bazzi was amazing, but the event people were not

by A on 11/7/22Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New York

The concert itself was amazing! Bazzi was phenomenal and it was such a great time! I had an issue with the VIP experience. The call time was 5 PM which was way too early. They had us stand for too long and no one knew what was going on. No one from the event was around to help keep things in order or tell us updates. The email was very clear to be there at 5 PM sharp or else. We were not let inside until after 5:30pm. We got inside the hotel to only wait an hour and some change for The hang out session was less than 10 minutes. I thought it would be a little bit longer but honestly I don’t even mind, it was the waiting almost 2 hours before that for no reason. After the hangout session, the staff let us into the venue around 6:50 which was annoying because Doors open for general mission around 7. By the time all the VIP got in and went through security, it was practically 7pm. I just stepped foot on the Merch line and a whole rush of general admission people were coming in. Like I thought I paid money to get into the venue early enough to shop and be at peace. When I was done getting my merch, I was nowhere near the pit/ front of the stage. There was a whole bunch of general omission people in front. I thought the purpose of early admission was to get in before everyone and buy merch without feeling rushed. And speaking of merch, why was there only one person working the booth? It would be faster with more than one person especially for a sold out show. Aside from the logistics and staff creating a poor experience, Bazzi was amazing! So I guess he made up for it. I was just bummed because this was my first ever VIP experience and it was trash.

    Detroit- Infinite dream show

by Emily on 11/7/22The Fillmore Detroit - Detroit

Hometown show was incredible! Such a fun experience and his performance level was filled with high energy. I've waited a long time to attend one of his shows and the wait was definitely worth it. I will say there could be improvements with the VIP portion, we waited outside for an additional hour after we were told to arrive with little information provided to us once we were there. I think it would be more beneficial is there was a tour representative outside checking people in and ensuring people had clarity on what lines are for what since there were two different VIP tickets.

    Amazing

by Valerie Danforth on 11/7/22The Fillmore Detroit - Detroit

The Bazzi concert was amazing. He pours his heart and soul into his music and really made us feel welcome. But it was shorter then some concerts I’ve been to. If he could add on a few more songs, it would make it even better. It was sad to see him end so soon. But it was still amazing and will be seeing him again and again in the future!!!

    AMAZING PERFORMANCE BUT BAD VENUE

by Katie on 11/6/22REBEL - Toronto

Bazzi was absolutely EVERYTHING we hoped for, 100/10 concert!!! He was energetic, fun, adorable and was SO engaged with the crowd! I’m SO happy with his performance!!! HOWEVERRRR!!! The venue was an ABSOLUTE mess… the tickets said the concert started at 7pm, they didn’t let us into the venue until around 7:30. The security was unnecessarily rude to people both before and during the event. Bazzi didn’t come on stage until 9pm, and they kept playing the same songs over the speakers to keep people entertained, but we were FULLY packed in GA and it was a PAINFUL wait. There were tech difficulties for the opener, and the screen had a blob of dead pixels (not the end of the world but it was distracting AF).THEN!!!! Getting out of the parking lot was the WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD!!! I kid you not we waited an 1h 25min to get out of the parking lot and there was zero help from staff directing cars out. Tensions were so high I saw 2 fights almost break out between drivers. IF YOU GO TO REBEL: park your car where you pay to get in, it’s the ONLY way out of the parking lot after the event. I know it doesn’t look like it would be that bad BUT IT 1000% IS!!! TRUST ME!!!!

    Great show...2 hours late

    by M on 11/6/22REBEL - Toronto

Bazzi was great once he finally got on stage, ticket time said 7:00 but that was actually only the entry time and the actual show didnt start until well after 9:00, so it was frustrating standing for over two hours with no idea of when it was starting and no communication. One of my friends ended up having to leave 5 minutes after the show started because we assumed with a 7:00 showtime we would have been close to done by 9:30. Bazi is a great artist and put on a great show but the long wait really tainted the experience as well as the opening artist which was something of a hot mess.
