Ticket buyers will likely never guess that Santa Cruz-born Lorin Ashton, better known as Bassnectar, grew up influenced by rock heavyweights like Megadeth and Metallica and grunge pioneers Nirvana. An interest in ambient acts like Orbital may be less surprising. The electronic music guru—both a DJ and a producer—now delivers electrifying, bass-heavy concerts (hence the name) that typically feature creative remixed tributes like "Seek and Destroy (Bassnectar Remix)" alongside laser light shows that awe tour and festival attendees. Many Bassnectar creations also meld socio-political statements from personalities like Martin Luther King, Jr. and Noam Chomsky into the electronic grooves.
Though he's made more than a dozen free downloadable mixtapes available at his website since 1999, Bassnectar has also unleashed several full-length albums, including a couple more recent releases on his own label, Amorphous Music. The 2012 release "Vava Voom" features a collaboration with Lupe Fiasco on the title track, as well as "Pennywise Tribute," a remix of Pennywise's own single, "Bro Hymn (Tribute)."
What an amazing two shows!! I missed it all!! All that comes with BASSNECTAR.. music, the fam, the vibes, plus the venue. I never thought I would see him here. It was a dream come true!

I drove 8hrs to the Vegas show and 12hrs to this one…better n better each time. I’ve been waiting for these shows since EF19 and am soooo thrilled we’re finally getting them. Thank you Ticketmaster, thank you Palladium Times Square, thank you Lorin and mostly thank you to this community. You are truly the most amazing group of humans and I adore you. I have found my family…and we are bassheads. ❤️
The show was incredible. Bassnectar always throws down guys a savage, but the venue on the other hand was OK. Took two hours to get in out in the freezing cold no bathrooms, but other than that very clean nice place.

Bassnectar curated events are usually really good and special I have ADA for cancer and was treated kinda bad by the staff from this Arena who were not helpful with seating and were very rude to everyone who paid to be there the staff of the Van Andel arena staff need concert training because clearly they are only prepared for hockey games
The event itself was amazing, loved the absolute filth that went down all three nights. The venue wasn’t great though, especially due to security being horrible, invasive, and making my friends and I generally very uncomfortable. Also would’ve liked it to be louder but loved the event overall.
show was just amazing in every possible way. production, quality, music, etc. was AWESOME. The haven was beautiful and so were the people. Access to water while in the crowd was soooo helpful because of ambassadors. Security to get into the floor was a bit excessive since it was pretty empty towards the back but I loved the whole thing:)
As great as I would expect it to be! The lights were awesome and my boyfriend loved his gift!
