Barbra Streisand on Tour
In August 2019, Barbra Streisand returned to New York's legendary Madison Square Garden for the first time in 13 years; the show marked her first New York date since playing at Barclay Center in her home borough of Brooklyn in 2017. She warmed up by headlining London's British Summer Time festival in Hyde Park the month before.
"There are no fans like New York fans," the singer had said in a press release, "and I can't wait to return to Madison Square Garden to perform some new songs, some old songs, and anything I find in-between."
At 77, Streisand had little to prove — other than that she could still deliver a powerful performance. She has released 52 gold, 31 platinum, and 13 multiplatinum records in addition to five No. 1 singles. She has won a dozen Grammy Awards, three Academy Awards, five Emmy Awards, assorted lifetime-achievement awards, and a Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Streisand's first educational experience was in an Orthodox Jewish yeshiva. She drew upon that experience for ‘Yentl' (1983), the first major studio film a woman wrote, produced, directed, and starred in. Streisand struggled as a young performer but broke out in 1962 with a lead role in the Broadway musical ‘I Can Get It for You Wholesale.' This led to a long string of television appearances and kudos from the likes of comedian Phyllis Diller, for whom Streisand opened on tour.
Her 1963 debut album hit the Billboard Top 10 and earned her three Grammys, and she eventually became the best-selling female music artist of all time. Pensive and emotional singles such as "People," "Happy Days Are Here Again," and "The Way We Were" made her a household name. Hit collaborations like "Guilty" (with Barry Gibb) and "I Finally Found Someone" (with Bryan Adams) helped her remain a chart presence through the '90s. Her most recent album, ‘Walls' (2018), included the defiant single "Don't Lie to Me." Still an outspoken public figure due to both her politics and her pet cloning, Barbra Streisand remains a performer for the ages.

by BabsNumber1Fan on 9/26/12Wembley Arena - LondonI live in London and saw Barbra when she played here in 1994.I sent flowers to her hotel and received a publicity card back from her.I sat 6 rows from the stage,(behind Elton John!) I think she was at her best and worth every penny,a dream realised.I went on first and last night.That was 18 years ago and she is now 70 and although she still has a great voice it physically cannot be as good just because of general wear and tear and age.I'm glad I caught her when I could,she certainly is worth going to see because she is a spectacular performer,and her performances are an event.Her talent will never be surpassed,and she leaves a legacy of fantastic and superlative recordingsin all media.Love you Barbra.

by Ronidp on 9/20/12Barclays - New YorkI saw her back in the 1990's I think, when she came out (terrified) after being out of the concert circuit for 25 years....I was blessed to get those tickets and watched her magic at MSG......I am & always will be in awe of that fabulous voice!!!, she has a great sense of humor and really connects with her fans.....I have most of her cd's and a constant listener.....she's about the only singer/perfermor that's gives me the chills when I hear her magical voice......for those of you lucky enough to see her next month SHE DOESN'T DISAPPOINT her music & voice are as Timeless as she is!!!! I missed out on these tickets they went so fast......

by babyjanehudson on 8/12/12STAPLES CENTER - CALIFORNIAI saw her Timeless - Live in Concert in California at the Staples Center 2003 and paid $500.00us and I was in the very last row in the balcony and it was worth every penny to her that FAMOUS VOICE of hers LIVE after only hearing it in on media for decades. Along with all the great famous songs. It was sooo cool! It was a very very classy show, it even had an intermission. I loved her entrence into the show and the roar of the crowd when she came on. Something I'll never forget. I hope she does "With One More Look At You/Watch Closely Now" from A Star Is Born". I already wrote her asking for that request. So if anybody can help me request that song too go to her website and under community tab request it. You never know...

I then saw her perform at Madison Square Garden in June 1994. Now at age 60, I am agoing, one more time, to see my 'Babs" perform live in Brooklyn on October 11, 2012. It's as if we grew up together and she's a part of the family. She is, and always has been, in a way, a part of our family, our human family, and how fortunate we all have been to have her in our family. God bless you Barbra! Your music and movies have gotten me through many dark and challenging moments in my life, and made things in my life brighter and I just want to say, "I'm trilled and delighted", once agin to be able to see you perform in person. I jsut can't wait! Your devoted and favorite fan!

by JAlbanese on 5/29/12Back To Brooklyn (The Barclays Center) - BrooklynI was blessed with hearing her sing at MSG in 2000 (The "Timeless" tour) and then again in her 2006 concert. Her voice is the most perfect instrument ever created. As beautiful as it is on records, you have to hear it live to fully understand how the woman has been (and remains) the Number One recording artist for the past five decades. I am counting the days until I get to hear her at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn.

But this concert means so much more, on April 1 I received a new kidney, this being Barbra's 50th anniversary in show business I had a strong feeling that she would perform sometime in this year. I did not expect it to come so soon. But it would be a great reward to come out of that dialysis storm to the beautiful sounds of Barbra's voice.

My partner and I were blessed to see her in Sunrise, Florida and Atlanta Georgia during her LIVE IN CONCERT 2006 tour, and what a BRILLIANT and SPECTACULAR experience the shows were, to see a true legend perform for the record books. This performance can not be missed.
