What a wonderful story! We were sad to see it come to a close. The venue was First Class, actually it was a World Class theater. The performers, each of them, took their work seriously. We have seen The Nutcracker before in other locations but this performance was Special, it left nothing to wish for. This was a Five Gold Star performance. It was The Best There Is!

The only negative is signage to various buildings in complex. It’s nonexistent. The ballet was exquisite. Costuming beautiful and music inspiring. Couldn’t have been better

Getting to see Ballet Tucson for the first time was a wonderful experience. This small company packs in all the wonder and tradition of the Nutcracker. The costumes and backdrops burst with color. The dancers were beautiful from the party to snow to all of the sweets and flowers, very skillfully performed! Sugar Plum Fairy (12/26 at 5pm) was beautiful ~ lovely and controlled with each movement, a delight! I also loved to see students from the school join in the experience of performing on stage. As a smaller ballet company, the directors, choreographers, teachers, dancers, families and patrons can be so proud of the professional level of performance and production. Bravo!
This is a great venue and most seats have a great view of the stage. The costumes, backdrop, props, the quality of the performers, and music were great!
I was extremely disappointed that when I purchased my tickets it was not clearly shown I would need to provide my vaccine card. Had I known that I would not have bought the tickets. Why prove that I've had the vaccine when made to wear a mask and it's been proven having the vaccine doesn't prevent the spread. The show was good but you have no right to ask for my vaccine records.
The play was beautiful and an enjoyable experience of art from start to finish. I am very dissappinted however that the city of Tucson has caved to requiring proof of covid vaccination to attend. How pathetic.

This was the first year that my Grandchildren (Aspen 6 and Evan 5) were able to see the Nutcracker. It has been a tradition for over 20 years for our family. My father bought tickets every year for myself, my brother and sister every season. He then did the same for my children, his grandchildren. So now I have my own grandchildren and I am continuing the tradition. It's a true family tradition and brought a tear to my eyes, when the dance of the snowflacks and dance of the flowers (my mothers favorites) played. I lost my mother 4 years ago and this show was such a wonderful reminder of who she was and what she contributed to our family traditions.
I tried to sell tickets and was not allowed to. All that money wasted. Could not get system to even give a credit. Really disappointed.
Colorful performance, wonderful event. Took my 4 and 5 year old daughters. The venue was nice, a little on the warmer side, but overall still give the show 5 stars!
We were warned about COVID cards, ID, and masks but why didn't anyone warn us about only credit cards to get out of the parking garage. We usually pay in cash but it was unacceptable this time. No purses except see through so no wallet, no credit cards. But the ballet was wonderful.
The show itself was awesome. Getting in and getting the seats that I purchased was not pleasant. After we finally got in and the show already started, we were taken to our seats by the usher. I purchased four specific seats and paid extra for them. There was other people in our seats. I’m guessing it’s the ushers responsibility to ask them to move to their proper seats. Only three of the four seats were open, so she ask my husband if he wouldn’t mind sitting in a corner up against the wall that wasn’t even near us. Again I paid extra for the seats I chose. We were not impressed or happy with the way the situation was handled. This was a Christmas gift for my granddaughter. Again we enjoyed the show, but some of the excitement and the experience was lost.
The performance was fabulous. All dancers were mesmerizing, dynamic and full of life.
I have seen Ballet Tucson's "The Nutcracker" every year for at least the last 15 years. This year's performance was exceptional! The dancing was superb! Everyone was smiling and happy. It was delightful! Maybe it was because it was opening night and everyone was so excited to be back after the pandemic, or maybe it was just the season, but it was definitely one of the better performances I have seen!
I have seen the Nutcracker in various venues since childhood but this is the first time it really enchanted me. We enjoyed every minute of it!
Just got back from the 12/28 evening show. The company of dancers is stronger than ever and my guests were blown away by the quality and charm of this production. This is perfect event for that in between time between Christmas and New Years Eve. Last chance to see it tomorrow. I wouldn’t miss it!
Saw the 2017 Ballet Tucson Nutcracker 12/22 evening show and although I have been attending for years it still gave me chills to see the beauty and quality of this amazing company of dancers. Tucson is so lucky to have this annual holiday event ! Ballet Tucson’s production of The Nutcracker is still the best around. I have seen many different companies do this ballet over the years but this rendition is magical! It beautifully combines professional dancers with the innocence and talent of children and gives the show a poignant feel that elevates it from other productions . My advice? Do not miss this - it will make your holiday season. Get tickets today!!!!
