My center balcony seat was right behind a stage light mounted too high. Could have easily been mounted on the horizontal mounting bar set below the balcony wall. Blocked my view of the stage center, and I was not unable to keep up with the story line of Nutcracker. Extremely disappointed with the Linda Rondstadt production setup. Ruined my Christmas evening.
We were able to really enjoy a beautiful Christmas gift of the Tucson Ballet And the Tucson Symphony together with their performance of the Nutcracker! Music, costumes, dancing - all superb!
I recently moved to Tucson and this was my first experience with the Tucson Ballet. It was disappointing. I have seen The Nutcracker performed by other companies and expected better. It felt like I was watching a school of dance performance instead of a professional troupe. However, I did enjoy the musical performance of the Tucson Symphony.
The ballet was fantastic, but we missed the beginning of ACT 1. Multiple groups of people were permitted to enter the balcony area in the dark and takes their seats after the show had begun. They blocked our view as they stood in front trying to find their seats and shining their phone lights. One person fell on the floor and had to have medical attention. Ushers and Medical staff went back and forth in front of us. My first time here and very disappointed. I suggest if ticket holders cannot arrive on time they should have to wait until intermission.
I have seen this ballet performed by the Pacific Northwest Ballet. It is my opinion the ballet in Tucson was right up there with the best: beautiful sets, exquisite costumes, and very talented actors/performers. The symphony was superb as well! I and my friend thoroughly enjoyed it!

Performances like this add to the magic of Christmas for adults as well as children. This had some great dancers, some great performers, and charming children. My standout remark is for the person/people who were behind the choreography and structure of this performance. It showed some remarkable talent at putting something like this together and maximizing the impact of this performance.
We love going every year. Beautiful sets and costumes. A treat for all!

The Tucson Ballet and Orchestra performance of the Nutcracker was outstanding. The costumes, set design were really top notch. The ballet dancers were all very professional as well as the orchestra. Five stars for an amazing performance!
After being disappointed years ago when I realized only after taking my seat that the Nutcracker was being performed to a recording (!!), this year I was thrilled to learn Ballet Tucson would be performing it with the TSO. From the sets and costumes to the quality of the dancers and the orchestra, this year’s Nutcracker performance was as good as any I’ve seen over the years. Simply magical! Bravo and we look forward to next year.
Ballet Tucson and The Tucson symphony Orchestra gave a beautiful performance of the Nutcracker on December 24. I’ve seen many different versions of The Nutcracker in my lifetime and this was very lovely and enjoyed it very much. My only regret was having a child behind me talking during most of the performance which I kept waiting for the parent to either take her out or shush her. Neither occurred. Secondly my view obscured by the seat in front of me. The occupant sat tall in the seat so I’m constantly moving side to side to side to see. Unfortunate. Aside from these minor issues the Ballet was amazing.
I've seen the Nutcracker about a dozen times across the US in small and large venues alike. This event with the Tucson Ballet, combined with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra blew the best away by miles. This is easily the best version I've seen yet, and I will be sure to tell everyone I know about how wonderful it was. A couple of minor issues being the uneven floor (daughter had to use a knee scooter due to surgery and the floor was difficult to negotiate; and also that the credit card system went down mysteriously during intermission (selling a lot of stuff then, that's a HORRIBLE time for that to go down!), so that needs to be bolstered as well. The staff was outstanding and courteous and extremely helpful. We will be back again!
I loved this show. I was impressed with all the detail that went into this production. I would definitely see it again.
It’s been a dream since childhood to attend the Nutcracker ballet, the experience did not disappoint. It brought so much joy to my heart and the live symphony was just lovely.
Christmas is not Christmas without thid wonderful ballet!
This was the first time I had ever seen the ballet and it did not disappoint me. It was beautiful and the auditorium was comfortable. I look forward to my next ballet. Thank you for making it special for me.
Loved that the Tucson Symphony was back with the Ballet Tucson's production of the Nutcracker. I liked the performance overall but thought the transition from Clara falling asleep to going into her dream world was a bit "rushed." As a result, I didn't travel with her fully into the land of the Sugar Plum Fairy.
Very colorful costumes and decor. The whole concessions experience was a nightmare and wasn't thought out at all. I won't be returning.
Need to improve but they did a good job bringing Tucson the ballet.
